Abstract
The article describes detailed overview of significant meteorological events in the Jeseníky region, including extreme precipitation, floods, and temperature fluctuations from around 1500 to the present. In addition to the actual data from the CHMI database, historical flood events are included, which are better documented than meteorological extremes. The literature evidence is supplemented by values specific for the Jeseníky region, so the paper provides a broad overview of climatic extremes with an emphasis on long-term observations and historical contexts that reveal exceptional climatic situations in this part of the Czech Republic.
