Abstract
This study aims to describe the direct method (al-Tar?qah al-Mub?syarah); definition, characteristics, application steps, division, advantages and disadvantages as well as how to overcome obstacles in its application. This type of research is included in the category of library research, which is a research activity carried out by collecting information and data with the help of various library materials such as books, results of previous similar studies, articles, notes, and various journals related to the problem under study. Through this method, it is expected to make it easier for a teacher to teach Arabic to students, so that students become more confident to communicate in Arabic.
