HOTEL BUSINESS AS A CONSTITUENT OF MODERN TOURISM INDUSTRY

Abstract

The analysis of the current state of hotel industry is carried out in the article. The main directions of the development of hotel business in Ukraine are offered because hotel and catering business as one of highly profitable sectors of the global economy in the XXI century is becoming a trend of economic and social development of Ukraine and modern tourism infrastructure is considered to be a prerequisite for an active and successful promotion of the industry to state market. Today, tourism shapes economies of many countries and regions and is becoming an important factor for sustainable development of the global hospitality industry. Hotel business in Ukraine is now experiencing a lot of problems: lack of hotel chains, shortage of mid-priced hotels, lack of qualified professionals, shortcomings in the legislation, etc. However, these difficulties are gradually being overcomed, hotel business companies advance, adopting experience of western partners which, in their turn, come to the Ukrainian market, thus the level of service delivery increases.
