Abstract

A member of the Penn State University women's fencing team met with the university's athletics integrity officer to report her coach for sexual harassment. She reported that the coach made sexist comments towards members of the women's fencing team and forced them to compete while they were injured. The integrity officer responded that the athletics department had already received numerous reports of sexism about the coach. However, he asked the student‐ athlete to meet with him again in a few weeks to avoid “rocking the boat” before an upcoming national tournament.
