Abstract
John Doe enrolled in Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania and joined the college's baseball team. During an out‐of‐state team tournament trip to Florida, he met Jane Roe, with whom he had a sexual encounter. The following day, Roe, then 16, filed a sexual battery complaint with local authorities. In a subsequent controlled call monitored by detectives, Doe reportedly admitted to the interaction. When interviewed by detectives later, he acknowledged that Roe had expressed discomfort but he offered to stop and she agreed, however, he allegedly continued to initiate sexual contact. Doe was arrested and later charged with sexual battery of a minor.
