Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of risk factors for coronary heart disease on the occurrence of heart failure in women with coronary heart disease. Methods Three hundred and twenty-eight cases with coronary heart disease including 196 male patients (male group) and 132 female patients(female group) were selected. The risk factors of coronary heart disease including age, high blood pressure, diabetes, blood fat, plasma fibrinogen and blood uric acid were compared, all the patients were followed up for 1-3 years, the occurrence of heart failure was observed between the two groups, the level of blood uric acid was compared between patients with or without heart failure in female group. Results The level of triacylglycerol, plasma fibrinogen and blood uric acid in female group was higher than that in male group (P < 0.05 ). Followed up for 1-3 years, the occurrence of heart failure in female group was higher than that in male group[27.27% (36/132) vs. 16.84% (33/196)]. The level of blood uric acid in female group with or without heart failure was (368.85 ± 78.60) μ mol/L and (336.63 + 69.65 )μ mol/L, there was significant difference between the both (P < 0.05 ). Conclusions The risk factors for coronary heart disease are the important dement in female coronary heart disease with heart failure, and blood uric acid is the alone risk factor. Through early monitoring the blood uric acid etc and intervention, the progress of the disease will slow. Key words: Coronary disease;  Uric acid;  Heart failure, congestive;  Risk factors
