Abstract
The living conditions in the world of today necessitate the involvement of specialists in the helping professions that can contribute to the effective resolution of a number of social and personal issues. In this context, the integrated approach to counseling is becoming increasingly important in practical terms. The synthesis of elements of techniques and technologies, developed by different schools of thought and approaches, has proved its utility and effectiveness, thereby increasing in popularity. It makes it possible to compensate for the limitations of a specific counseling approach by harnessing the strengths of another approach. This “synthesis technology” could bring significant benefits in helping to accomplish practical goals. Our experience is based on the application of the “Keykis” method in counseling and practical pedagogy, which allows for harmonization of human relationships and successful management of situations from the teaching practice through development of multivariate solutions to identified problems. This article is designed to serve as an attempt to introduce the “Keykis” method for counseling and practical pedagogy, which exists within the broader framework of the case study approach. It describes the method’s aims and objectives, its unique features and advantages, as well as its place among other similar approaches
