Abstract

In the pacific islands in recent years the scientific consulting world is a place where underrepresented groups have resided helping more “educated white English-speaking” scientists. Due to language culture gaps, there has been segregation of researchers leading non-English speaking partners not to receive the recognition of the money that they deserve. This is an example of the colonial system affecting the consulting industry. Now it is time to pave the way for the next generation to help decolonize these systems in scientific research so there are more opportunities for underrepresented people of science.
