Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of information technology to facilitate the management of prakerin. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Tengaran which is located at Jalan Darun Naim, Karang Duren Village, Tengaran District, Semarang Regency. There are two sources of data in this study, primary data and primary data secondary. Data collection techniques in research what is done is using structured interview techniques and documentation using instruments as guidelines and the questions have been prepared beforehand. Interviews were conducted with school principals, vice principals in the field of public relations and hubin, prakerin supervising teachers, and students doing internships. Documentation technique is done by checking the documents needed by researchers. The data analysis technique used is by using the triangulation method. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that the use of technology and information through the SIAP sata application can facilitate the management of internships at SMK Negeri 1 Tengaran. This application has a good impact in helping the management of prakerin, both from prakerin supervisors, mentors at the prakerin location and students. In addition, the use of the SIAP sata application can shorten communication between the school and the internship, and the supervising teacher and the internship participants.
