Abstract

Science is more universal and reliable than other disciplines because it must present a valid description of Nature. Deep in its core is the inductive method of forming hypotheses and testing them against experiment and observation. Since we have not observed all of Nature, theories that describe it cannot ever be proven completely true. Evaluation of scientific hypotheses is assisted by simplification (Ockham’s razor) and careful definition of terms. Their validity can be judged by the accuracy of their predictive power and verification by others.
