Abstract

This study aims to present a new plan to improve Korea-China relations through analysis of major achievements and problems through Korea-China diplomatic relations on the 30th anniversary of Korea-China diplomatic relations. The 1992 Korea-China diplomatic relations were a combination of the end of the Cold War, China's reform and opening policy, and Korea's “Northern Policy” promotion. Since then, Korea-China relations have been evaluated as a bilateral relationship that has made unprecedented in economic trade and social culture. However, Korea-China relations are still unstable due to lack of political trust, and the complexity of the bilateral relationship is increasing due to various factors, but Korea and China should actively promote the quality of bilateral economic cooperation, strengthen strategic communication and cooperation on the Korean Peninsula, and strengthen trust as good neighbors, friends, and partners.
