Abstract

The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of self-directed learning ability in the effect of university students' participating in the learning community program communication ability on problem solving ability. To achieve the purpose of this study, 356 university students participating in the learning community program were surveyed on communication ability, self-directed learning ability, and problem solving ability. The research method conducted multiple regression analysis to find out the effect of communication ability and self-directed learning ability on problem solving ability. The results showed that communication ability had a significant positive effect on problem solving ability. The results showed that self-directed learning ability had a partial mediating effect on the influence of communication ability and problem solving ability.
