Abstract
The rapid changes in the modern world have once again actualized the problem of solidarity and interaction between generations. The ongoing geopolitical transformations, the consequences of which have yet to be realized, already now inevitably affect the formation of a new generation of Russian society. The article presents a comparative analysis of the socio-historical context of the formation of generational cohorts in Russian society. Generational cohorts have been studied based on the analysis of common characteristics depending on the time of birth and living conditions in a particular period, which affects the characteristic features that distinguish one generation from another. The social interaction of generational cohorts models modern society. The archetypes of generational cohorts are grouped. Thanks to the social interaction of generational cohorts, their dialogue becomes possible and as a result, the acculturation of generations. Mutual understanding of the historical context of each generation contributes to the development of a sense of belonging, pride, respect and awareness of their all-Russian identity among younger generations. The prospects of the research are to identify the possibilities of social actions of the intergenerational community in the development of society.
