Abstract

The main aspect of the formation of communicative speech competence of foreign students who master economic specialties is the expansion by applicants of higher education of their vocabulary with the necessary terminology vocabulary, a clear understanding of their stylistic and semantic shades of vocabulary, its practical assimilation taking into account the scope of application. The presented article focuses on the importance of considering the phenomenon of synonymy during the study of the language of the specialty and the need to expand the vocabulary, mastery of foreign languages, we are students of synonymous series of Ukrainian economic terminology, the formation of skills of distinguishing contextual shades of synonym values for use in professional communication. The formation of foreign students ‘skills and abilities to select the correct words in accordance with the context and communicative purpose, terms, phrases, phraseology and increase the level of linguistic, speech, communicative and, accordingly, professional competence. The study identified the key method and mastery of the synonymy phenomenon, such as: description of objects, phenomena, properties and features, as well as translation of phraseology, work with terminology dictionaries, etc. to use of synonyms in the Ukrainian language. The importance of developing a system of relevant tasks and exercises is determined, which will increase the effectiveness of the organization of work with Ukrainian vocabulary and professional terminology. The authors of the article give a number of practical tasks with various synonymous phenomena, which are expedient tooffer foreign students within the framework of the study of the discipline «Ukrainian as a foreign language».
