Abstract
The article discusses and clarifi es the concept of state environmental supervision, including analyzing the characteristics of environmental supervision as a state function (service), as well as identifying the features and problems of implementing federal state environmental supervision in the Chelyabinsk region, and offering recommendations to improve its effectiveness.
