Abstract

The topic of federalism is an urgent topic for discussion in the academic community. Many legal scholars note the similarity of the principles of federalism and the organization of regional governance in the subjects of the Russian Federation and the Federal Republic of Germany on a number of factors. In this article, the authors carry out a comparative analysis of the federal relations of the Russian Federation and the Federal Republic of Germany according to the following characteristics: by the method of formation of subjects, by the delimitation of powers, by symmetry, by the organization of state power in the subjects.
