Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to understand This paper aims to explore the process of the Korea Federation of Science and Technology Organizations (hereinafter referred to as KOFST), a representative organization of Korean science and technology in the 1960s and 1970s when science and technology emerged as an important national policy agenda. The overload, which advocated a pressure group to guarantee the authority of scientists and establish its status, made it actively respond to political power to build the Science and Technology Center, which was its long-cherished desire. To this end, science and technology organizations focus more on political activities than research to obtain government support. As a result, government-friendly scientific politics will be introduced. This can be said to be the result of political activities chosen by the overwhelming general to achieve their dreams.
