Abstract
This thesis compares and analysis the methodical difference between the artist Ki-Woong Park and I, who are commonly exercising convergence skills. The consilience theory is to unite the governing power of Universe, surrounding every culture, and social aspects. The meaning is to be one from the meanings of ‘jumping together of knowledge’, ‘meaning communication’ or ‘consilience’ of the philosophy, ethics and comparative religion and the arts. Ki-Woong Park installs interesting instructive message through ‘Shakespeare’ series combined by painting, sculpture, metal craft and stage arts. Broadly, my arts are to be combined by the painting and installation with various materials and objects. To remember the original location place; ‘Trace’ series, drawing and tracing skills are commonly used; illusion plus objects ‘Time’ series; nature artificial and human combined ‘Life’ series are created. If the method of consilience of Park’s is to describe directly the story from the play, mine is to hide it with symbolic objects as the development from painting genre.
