Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a community-based project class on student capabilities. The study centers on a meticulously designed project in collaboration with a local youth career center, aiming to identify challenges faced by the center and formulate five new curricula to address these issues. Through an analysis of data collected from survey results, activity reports, and student reflections, this study unveils compelling evidence of the positive influences on students' communication and problem-solving skills as well as social engagement. The findings from this study contribute valuable insights to the ongoing discourse on the efficacy of community engagement within the higher education framework.
