Abstract
This study categorized and analyzed the body types of middle-aged obese women, aged 40-59, based on the characteristics of their shapes for the purpose of 3D avatar modeling. Data from 149 middle-aged obese women were utilized, as provided by the 'Size Korea 8th Body Measurement Survey,' consisting of 3D measurement data. Eleven body type factors were extracted. The data was analyzed through factor analysis and classified into four body types.Type 1 represents a curved body shape with pronounced curves, Type 2 is characterized by well-developed lower body and a stooped posture, Type 3 exhibits a straight body shape with minimal curves, and Type 4 features long legs and development of upper body with a leaning posture.
