Abstract

The article considers problems and possible ways to solve them in the current system of organizing passenger transportation by public transport in the Leningrad Region. Existing models of transport services in today's difficult conditions of dynamic changes in passenger traffic, in-creasing the cost of fuel and lubricants and spare parts do not allow the carrier to ensure timely updates of rolling stock and force them to look for ways to reduce material costs to the detriment of the quality of passenger service on routes. The system of organization of passenger transportation in the Leningrad region is complex and multi-level, so its effective management is impossible without science-based tools for management decisions.
