Abstract

This paper examined how the trust in the government agencies influences on the social and individuals and to suggest measures for enhancing the trust in the government. The hypothesis testing results were as follows. First, trust in government had a significant positive influence on the trust in fire response and self-efficacy at the same time. In addition, self-efficacy showed a mediating effect between the trust in government and fire response. Based on such results, this study came up with measures for gathering the political opinions from the citizens and maintaining the policy consistently to enhance the truest in government and self-efficacy. This study also suggested on measures for enhancing the self-efficacy toward the fire response by providing education and sharing information about fire prevention and fire response measures.
