Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide the program effectiveness and the possibility of university-region linkage according to the application of cooperative learning through the community-linked cooperative learning program conducted at D University in Gyeongbuk. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, interviews were conducted with 13 program participants. First, citizen participants preferred cooperative learning to lecture-type traditional learning, but class satisfaction was different depending on their liking for fellow participants. Second, participation in the program had a positive effect on the sense of belonging to the community and the formation of social networks. Third, the mutual feedback of cooperative learning was effective in strengthening activity participation and emotional bonding. Fourth, the experience of participating in the program helped change the perception of local universities. In short, the community connection program was a useful program for university and citizen participants, and cooperative learning acted as an effective learning method for all participants.
