Abstract

The article considers F. Lisz’s musical piece “Canzonetta del Salvator Rosa” from the cycle “Years of Pilgrimage”. The author uses different approaches and methods for analyzing musical compositions: graphical, semantic, genre, structural, holistic, etc. The analysis helps to identify the specificity of the synthetism of the musical art of the XIX century in the mentioned composition. The paper discovers the peculiarities of the form generation, tonal plane, numerical symbolism, dramaturgic interpretation, and the genre originality of the composition “Canzonetta del Salvator Rosa”.
