Abstract
The article presents the results of the study of stone stelae discovered during the study of the sites of the Scythian era of the Chinetinsky archaeological microdistrict, located in the Krasnoshchekovsky district of the Altai Territory. In the course of the study of barrow No. 34 at the burial ground of Khankarinsky Dol, a stone box was found, which was covered with stone slabs and steles. The excavated barrow belongs to the so-called. korgantas type of sites and is dated to the second half of the 5th-4th centuries. BC. At the same time, it was established that some steles, considering the presence of characteristic morphological features, can be attributed to the circle of sites of the Biyken culture. Another stone stele was found in the mound of one unexcavated kurgan, discovered during the survey of the territory near the village of Taly Klyuch. New finds of stone stelae mark the northern boundary of the distribution of the Biyken culture sites in the zone of contacts with the bearers of the Mayemir cultural tradition.
