Abstract
The article is devoted to the publication of archaeological sites located in the valley of the Mashinka river. This river is 7 km long and flows into the Korbolikha river (the Zmeinogorsk district ofthe Altai Territory). In this area, there are sites of various types: settlements and workshops of the Stone Age, settlements of the early Iron Age, mounds. The most interesting and informative objects discovered on the Mashinka river are stratified Paleolithic sites (Ust-Mashinka-2 and 3) and the Davydovka-1 quarry. The quarry was used for the extraction and initial processing of hornfels, as well as the manufacture of various tools, including hand bifaces, spearheads and knives. Possible dating of these Stone Age sites is the Mousterian era of the Middle Paleolithic and the Upper Paleolithic. The settlements and burial mounds belong to various divisions of the Early Iron Age, from the early Scythian era to the final period.
