Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discuss the effect of Imagery rescriping program on alleviating post-traumatic stress(PTSD) symptoms and promoting post-traumatic growth(PTG) in adolescents affected by group bullying. For this purpose, 24 adolescent with PTSD symptoms were selected through group bullying, and 12 were randomly assigned to treatment group and waiting control group. During the experiment, two people were eliminated from the treatment group, and data from 10 treatment groups and 12 waiting control groups were analyzed. As a result, the program was found to have a significant effect on alleviating PTSD symptoms and promoting PTG(self-opening, deliberate rumination). In subsequent studies, it will be necessary to design a later test to gauge the long-term effect of the mental rewriting. Also, it will be necessary to find out if there is a difference in effect depending on the severity of the symptoms.
