Abstract

The Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben's 'Kingdom and Glory. Towards a Theological Genealogy of Economics and Governance", published in the original language in 2007, was published in Russian translation 11 years later. This study continues the cycle of the author's philosophical works, which are devoted to revealing the hidden religious backgrounds of certain topical cultural, political and anthropological processes and phenomena. In this case, it is an attempt to comprehend the genesis of the forms and semantic core of the modern political and economic system of Western society.
