Abstract ‘Loomis’ (Fig. 1) is a pistillate-flowered muscadine grape (Vitis rotundifolia Michx) released by the Univ. of Georgia Agricultural Experiment Stations. ‘Loomis’ is named in recognition of N.H. Loomis, who was the grape breeder at the United States Horticultural Field Station, Meridian, Miss., where it originated.
