Реализация дистанционного образования в медицинском университете: анализ удовлетворенности студентов

Aim. Assessment of satisfaction of students of a medical university with the quality of distance learning. Materials and methods. A comparative prospective non-interventional study was conducted in December 2020 – January 2021, which included 167 students of the medical and prophylactic and pediatric faculties of the Ural State Medical University. Anonymous survey, submitted using the Google Forms platform, included answers to 18 open-ended questions with a choice of one or more answer options. Statistical analysis of the survey results was carried out on the basis of a summary of responses from the Google Forms platform, and Fisher’s criterion was also determined for nonparametric data. Results. When comparing the results of the questionnaire survey of students of the Ural State Medical University, it was found that three quarters of the students as a whole quite effectively adapted to the new conditions of on-line education, there were no significant differences in these indicators. Conducting classes in the format of video lessons, on-line testing and individual assignments on specific topics turned out to be the most welcomed by students forms of communication with teachers. At the same time, among the additional advantages of distance learning, students noted the possibility of combining study and work, the flexibility of the educational process and conducting classes in a comfortable home environment.

Distance learning and its impact on educational intervention on palliative care to nursing professionals–A pilot study

Background and objective: Distance education (DE) is a professional training tool that was utilized to work with nursing professionals in this investigation on palliative care. This innovative form of care is used by interdisciplinary teams in a holistic way, with biological, psychological and spiritual aspects. Besides it is uniquely significant during pandemic lockdowns such as the current restrictions in nowadays. The aim of the study was to evaluate the knowledge of nursing professionals about palliative care, before and after an educational intervention through distance education.Methods: This is a quasi-experimental study carried out in a medium-sized state teaching hospital located in the Midwest region of Brazil. Participants: 31 nursing professionals who worked in the internal medicine ward. First phase, the prior knowledge about palliative care was evaluated through a questionnaire containing 24 semi-structured questions. In the second phase seven 20-minute video lessons were prepared, recorded and sent to the participating group. Third phase the same questionnaire was used to evaluate participants and they were inquired how they perceived they knowledge after distance learning.Results: A total of 31 professionals were enrolled in the first phase of the study and 29 answered the evaluation questionnaire after DE intervention. Most nursing professionals (61.2%) had between 31 and 50 years, 30 (96.7%) professionals had studied between 10 and 20 years. After DE there was an increase of 33% correct answers. Distance learning improved professional practice and increased confidence at work.Conclusions: Distance education is well accepted and promotes an increase of knowledge by up to a third on palliative care issues and also increased self-confidence among professionals.

The Effectiveness Tera Aerobic And Nutrition Management Towards The Heart Fitness Of Prospective Haji Conventions

Physical fitness or cardiovascular fitness (VO2Max) is a determining factor for the health status of the pilgrims. Cardiovascular fitness can be improved in several ways, including exercise and nutrition management.This study aims to determine the effectiveness of exercise and nutritional management on the heart and lung fitness of the pilgrims. Quasi-experimentalmethodusing pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design and using the t-test on 34 prospective pilgrims showed. This study usedtheRockpot Instrument.Result:Therewas a significant effect between exercise and nutritional management on cardiovascular fitness. (P-Value: 0.05 and 0.00,α: 0.05).Conclution:The variablethat has themostinfluenceoncardiovascularfitnessisexercisemodifiedwithnutritionalmanagement. Gymnastics exercises and counseling on nutrition using video lessons are very effective in improving heart-lung fitness for aspiring pilgrims.

Using Classroom Video in Designing Open-ended Problem Situations

Teacher and teacher trainees have been introduced to practice Thailand Lesson Study incorporated Open Approach Model as the problem-solving-based teaching approach for the past two decades. The problem-solving-based teaching approach has to begin with posing open-ended problem situation in order to encourage students to solve the problem independently using their own method. Therefore, open-ended problem situation design is considered a key factor for teachers or teacher trainees to provide sufficient opportunities to students’ learning experiences in solving the problems (Inprasitha, 2017). As a result, this research was aimed to use video recordings of classroom teaching and experts’ reflection practice to analyze teacher trainees’ abilities in designing open-ended problem situations. A total of 10 teacher trainees were selected from the Department of Mathematics (English Program), Faculty of Education, Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage using a purposive sampling technique. A multi-cases study survey research design was employed using a qualitative approach. There were four research instruments used, namely lesson plan, video and audio recording, field notes, and interview protocol. Data were collected using various sources such as research lesson plans, audio, and video recording as well as interviewing. The results revealed that teacher trainees utilized classroom teaching videos to support them in clarifying indecisive problem situations, revising the sequence of teaching, and modifying appropriate words used in giving the direction of the problem situations. On the other hand, the experts’ reflection video has successfully assisted them to have a better understanding of mathematical contents in problem-solving teaching approach and teacher trainees’ intention of each action in the learning activities.

Information Literacy Programmes: the Experience of Research Libraries in Hong Kong and Ukraine

The article is devoted to the analysis of information literacy programmes developed by libraries of higher education institutions in Hong Kong and Ukraine. The application of such theoretical and empirical methods as an analysis of sources, the method of external observation over the foreign and Ukrainian experience of the information literacy programmes developing, as well as a prognostic method for summarising, allowed to reveal similarities and differences in the content and forms of information literacy programmes implemented at Hong Kong and Ukrainian universities. Different stages of implementation of information literacy programmes by the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Library during the last two decades are highlighted. The content of information literacy programmes provided by the libraries of 4 Ukrainian universities in general and the scientific library of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (KNUCaA), in particular, is reviewed. It has been found out such similar characteristics of information literacy programmes of libraries that were analysed as using of traditional forms (lectures, practical exercises, instructions, video lessons) to form the skills and abilities for the effective information search, analytical processing, organisation, evaluation, and use of this information. It has been found out that, unlike Hong Kong, the introduction of certified and online information literacy courses by Ukrainian universities libraries is isolated cases. There is also no experience in testing students’ knowledge before studies of information literacy. Testing is usually done after completing the information literacy programmes, but these tests are not mandatory and only recommended. The authors hope that the experience of the CUHK Library (Hong Kong) in the implementation of the “Immersion Programme”, the UGCIL project, and InfoLit for U will be useful for the Ukrainian scientific library community, considering that libraries of higher education institutions in Ukraine have also started to develop similar programmes and modules. In particular, the interactive online guide “Music Documents in the KNUCaA Scientific Library” is an example of a modern approach to the formation of first-year students’ information literacy, their acquaintance with the scientific library, its services, and resources, basic types of documents, an electronic search algorithm.

Facilitating the Comprehension of Theoretical Frameworks During Distant Learning. A Research on Methodological Approaches

To increase the level of education at distance learning, it is necessary to use such modified learning concepts, that would improve the perception of not only theoretical material, but also allow students to consolidate the knowledge they had into action. That is why researchers here attempt to identify the most effective method of information perception by students. The effectiveness of the illustration technique, and the amazing power of the human perception system did mostly serve us as motivational factors for choosing audiovisual tools, namely video tutorials, as a visualization method. Since the vi- sualization method is one of the key tools of information perception, this study would help to assess the importance of video lessons in pedagogical practice not only as one of the widely used methods of material transfer in the modern world, but also as an effective way to improve the cognitive potential of students in the study of polytechnic subjects. But video tutorials are not the only method of training in this research which were used for selected focus group. The survey conducted at the end of the study will allow researchers to either draw a conclusion about the effectiveness of video lessons as a method of transmitting material and learning in conditions of remotely education, or to suggest alternative methods to improve the perception of the material by students. Exploring Student Engagement in STEM Education through the Engineering Design Process

While the engineering is expected to be a catalyst for integrated STEM education, engineering is also problematic, especially in countries with a fixed and centralized curriculum such as Japan. Therefore, translating the framework of integrated STEM into practice and exploring students’ engagement are essential. This study explored students’ engagement in STEM activities through the Engineering Design Process (EDP) in an elective science class. Our participants were sixteen students (aged 14–15) in a Japanese junior high school (JHS) that chose to participate for one semester. Through a single case study, we analyzed the students’ engagement with the activities from the individual and group perspectives. Data from self-assessments, worksheets, presentations, and videos of lessons were collected and analyzed. The results showed that the students’ level of engagement was very high. Exploration with co-occurrence network analysis showed that students’ engagement was associated with the topic of the activity, designing activity, and students’ relationships with their peers. An engineering element in an elective science class was valuable for JHS students and provided a way to enhance science lessons. Also, EPD facilitated essential skills in design and collaboration. Further research in balancing group and individual perspectives is needed.

Using paired teaching for earthquake education in schools

Abstract. In this study, we have created 10 geoscience video lessons that follow the paired-teaching pedagogical approach. This method is used to supplement the standard school curriculum with video lessons, instructed by geoscientists from around the world, coupled with activities carried out under the guidance of classroom teachers. The video lessons introduce students to the scientific concepts behind earthquakes (e.g. the Earth's interior, plate tectonics, faulting, and seismic energy), earthquake hazards, and mitigation measures (e.g. liquefaction, structural, and non-structural earthquake hazards). These concepts are taught through hands-on learning, where students use everyday materials to build models to visualize basic Earth processes that produce earthquakes and explore the effects of different hazards. To evaluate the effectiveness of these virtual lessons, we tested our videos in school classrooms in Dushanbe (Tajikistan) and London (United Kingdom). Before and after the video implementations, students completed questionnaires that probed their knowledge on topics covered by each video, including the Earth's interior, tectonic plate boundaries, and non-structural hazards. Our assessment results indicate that, while the paired-teaching video lessons appear to enhance student knowledge and understanding of some concepts (e.g. Earth's interior, earthquake location forecasting, and non-structural hazards), they bring little change to their views on the causes of earthquakes and their relation to plate boundaries. In general, the difference between UK and Tajik students' level of knowledge prior to and after video testing is more significant than the difference between pre- and post-knowledge for each group. This could be due to several factors affecting curriculum testing (e.g. level of teachers' participation and classroom culture) and students' learning of content (e.g. pre-existing hazards knowledge and experience). To maximize the impact of school-based risk reduction education, curriculum developers must move beyond innovative content and pedagogical approaches, take classroom culture into consideration, and instil skills needed for participatory learning and discovery.

Learning about history in immersive virtual reality: does immersion facilitate learning?

A relatively new technology being used to deliver academic lessons is immersive virtual reality (IVR). This study examined whether IVR is a more effective instructional medium than other multimedia, such as a video on a computer monitor. Additionally, this study explored the underlying affective and cognitive mechanisms of learning in an immersive environment. Participants viewed a history lesson in IVR or a 3D interactive video display on a desktop monitor. The results showed that participants who viewed the video lesson outperformed those who viewed the IVR lesson on transfer tests. The IVR lesson caused higher emotional arousal based on self-report and heart rate measures, and lower cognitive engagement based on electroencephalogram (EEG) measures. The results suggest that immersive environments may create excessive positive emotions, which distract form the necessary cognitive processing during the lesson, thereby harming performance on subsequent tests of learning outcomes.

Teachers Learning to Implement Equitable Classroom Talk

Language in education for children and youth from low-income communities of color, including those learning English as an additional language, has been fraught for decades with ideological entanglements, conceptual ambiguities, and empirical limitations. Meanwhile, the teacher learning challenge to implement equitable teaching practices remains largely unresolved. With an eye toward improving equitable classroom talk (ECT)—that is, meaningful participation in disciplinary practices through communal and connected language interactions—for all students from minoritized communities, we integrate research on additional language development, disciplinary practices, sociocultural classroom interactions, and teacher learning. We recommend researcher-educator collaborations (a) develop indicators of ECT, (b) use lesson videos to make ECT visible, and (c) develop and test materials to support and scale teacher learning to enact ECT.

Utilizing SIOP lesson video demonstrations as a springboard for reflection: A collaborative self-study of EL teachers

This collaborative self-study explored three graduate students’ perceptions of the benefits and challenges of viewing, editing, and sharing lesson demonstrations based on Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP). The researchers also examined how university instructors could promote reflection through the lesson demonstration process. The study consisted of four qualitative forms of data collection. First, the researchers interviewed participants regarding their experiences viewing, editing, and sharing their videos. Then, they examined participants’ written reflections of their lesson demonstration, focusing on best practices for teaching English learners (ELs). Using the constant comparative method, they coded the interview transcripts, participant reflections, and instructor feedback. Researchers performed a document analysis of course materials (e.g., instructions, rubrics, lesson plan templates) to better understand and contextualize participants’ perceptions of the lesson demonstration process within the course. The findings indicated that participants benefited from the process in a variety of ways, while experiencing minimal or no challenges. In reviewing and editing the footage, participants expressed how they were able to view their teaching from a new vantage point and identify unique opportunities for future growth from other professional development strategies. Due to participants’ limited sharing of the video, this stage of the process was not fully explored.

Uma proposta de aula experimental no ensino a distância: Identificando proteínas em alimentos do cotidiano na disciplina de Bioquímica

Na atualidade, a Educação a Distância (EaD) têm sido cada vez mais difundida, sendo um importante meio de ensino. No ano de 2020, com o advento da pandemia do novo coronavírus, o ensino tem se pautado no modo a distância, principalmente em plataformas virtuais de ensino (vídeoaulas). A Bioquímica é uma área fascinante, no entanto, possui diversos termos e processos que devem ser muito bem assimilados e compreendidos, tornando essa disciplina complexa e desafiadora aos alunos. Assim, para superarmos tais obstáculos o objetivo deste trabalho é a proposta de uma aula experimental virtual com a temática de identificação das proteínas em diversos alimentos do cotidiano, utilizando o reagente de Biureto, aplicado aos alunos de cursos superiores voltados nas áreas de Ciências Biológicas e cursos voltados nas áreas da Saúde. Desse modo, acreditamos que com presente proposta metodológica, as aulas virtuais possam se tornar cada vez mais cativantes, motivando o aluno e facilitando sua aprendizagem, além de promover a ótica da experimentação científica.

Desenvolvimento de recursos visuais para o aprendizado de alunos surdos: teoria atômica de Dalton

<p><span class="fontstyle0">This work aims to present the production of teaching video materials with the translation in Libras carried out in a Scientific Initiation Project. We approach Dalton’s Atomic Theory, an integral part of the Atomic Theories content, contemplated by the Atomicity for the Deaf project carried out by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Paraíba (IFPB), Campus João Pessoa, theoretically based on cultural studies on the deaf, considering visual experience and Libras as the main cultural artifacts of this community. The project was guided by the following methodological steps: research on the development of the aforementioned atomic theory, definition of the sequence of the concepts covered, script writing, image research for the elaboration of PowerPoint slides, content study and discussion of the translation into Libras, recording of the translation, audio recording, image processing, final editing and availability on the website. The final product consists of a set of video lessons in Libras, enabling linguistic accessibility to the deaf audience</span> <br /><br /></p>

Desenho Universal para Aprendizagem e Tecnologias Digitais na Educação Matemática Inclusiva

Este estudo verifica indícios do Desenho Universal para Aprendizagem (DUA) presentes no uso de Tecnologias Digitais (TDs) na Educação Matemática Inclusiva. Para tanto, são analisadas pesquisas publicadas em duas edições do Encontro Nacional de Educação Matemática: 2016 e 2019; evento que congrega maior número de pesquisadores e professores da área de Matemática no Brasil. Ao analisar os trabalhos publicados em tal evento, busca-se responder aos seguintes questionamentos: Como as TDs estão sendo utilizadas na Educação Matemática Inclusiva? É possível verificar a perspectiva do DUA ao utilizar as TDs na Educação Matemática Inclusiva? Com a metodologia adotada, de abordagem qualitativa, do tipo bibliográfica, emergem quatro temáticas: uso de tecnologias analógica e digital; uso de softwares e/ou aplicativos; uso de Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem; e uso de videoaula e vídeos instrutivos. Pelas análises é possível concluir que a inclusão escolar está em processo, envolvendo pesquisadores e professores no desenvolvimento de tecnologias digitais ou analógicas. Ainda, as análises revelam que é tímida a presença do DUA na Educação Matemática Inclusiva.

In Indonesia itself, a Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) policy was implemented to suppress the spread of this virus so that all activities carried out outside the home must be stopped until this pandemic has subsided. The imposition of Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) made the learning system change from a classical system to a Distance Learning (PJJ) or online system. In the Introduction to Management course, student participation was found to be low during the learning process. Lecturers have difficulty determining whether students take learning seriously or not. Often in distance learning, some students deliberately put up a video that has been recorded, so that it seems like they are following the learning process, but in reality, they are doing something else. This is caused by several factors, including media which can be in the form of video lessons and student interest in learning. Looking at the description above, researchers are interested in conducting research that aims to determine the effect of using video learning and learning interest on learning outcomes in the Management Introduction course in the distance learning process during the Covid 19 pandemic. This research was conducted in the D3 Transportation Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, the State University of Jakarta in semester 113 of the 2020/2021 school year. This research is an ex post facto research with a quantitative approach. The number of samples in this study consisted of 76 students. The data collection technique is done by using questionnaires and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using a multiple regression test. The results of this study indicate that Fcount ≥ Ftable = 13.53 ≥ 3.124 so it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between the use of instructional videos (X1) and interest (X2) on learning outcomes in the Introduction to Management (Y) course. For this reason, the role of lecturers is indispensable in continuously making creative innovations in developing various kinds of learning media that can increase student interest in learning during the Covid 19 pandemic.

The article analyses the content of the video lessons and corresponding to them test items in Geography and Economics for 8 th grade, available for a fee, on the educational site "Ucha.se". The studied curriculum is related to the introduction of basic concepts and explanations of key processes studied by geology, geophysics, astronomy, geochemistry, geomorphology, meteorology, climatology, hydrology, biology and other sciences. There are serious lapses in the scientific reliability and correctness of the given statements in almost all lessons. Examples of factual errors, incorrectly asked questions, inaccurate images and pseudo-scientific simplifications are pointed.

РОЛЬ АУТЕНТИЧНЫХ ВИДЕОМАТЕРИАЛОВ В ОБУЧЕНИИ ВОСПРИЯТИЮ ТЕКСТА НА СЛУХ

This article deals with the problem of learning the perception of foreign-language material at the hearing and study of the goals, objectives and the role of authentic videos in the process. It is noted the relevance of studying communicative competence, part of which is the formation of listening skills. Analyzed domestic and foreign approaches to the definition of communicative competence, the authors define the latter as the ability to solve actual problems of communication in educational, residential and industrial context through a foreign language. In this study, it is proved that the process of listening comprehension by using video not only increases the chances of understanding authentic text, but also significantly increases the motivation of students to the process of learning a foreign language. Examines the criteria for selecting the videos that are didactic learning tool. The most important of them is the linguistic material which, in the opinion of the authors of the article must meet the communicative orientation of the classes, i.e., after viewing the video, students should be able to use acquired vocabulary and grammatical structures in the formation of their own statements. When working with video lessons on a foreign language must be met in three stages: pre-viewing, while-viewing, post-viewing which meet the goals and objectives of learning a foreign language. The article presents a fragment of a methodical development lesson on the topic of "House and apartment", developed in accordance with the stages of presentation of video material, facilitating efficient storage and further use of foreign language vocabulary and grammar.

ФИНАНСОВЫЕ ПИРАМИДЫ: СОВРЕМЕННОЕ СОСТОЯНИЕ И СПОСОБЫ БОРЬБЫ

The purpose of this paper is to examine the impact of financial pyramids on the Russian economy and their state regulation. The objectives of the work are to analyze the role of financial pyramids in the Russian economy; to analyze financial pyramids in the world at the present stage of development; to study trends in the development of financial pyramids. Research methods are based on the methods of system and comparative analysis, formal legal method, methods of analogy, synthesis and classification.This article discusses the appearance of financial pyramids and the history of their creation. The main features of financial pyramids and ways to disguise them are considered. The paper considers the current state of financial pyramids and the legal regulation of their activities in Russia and abroad. Methods and methods of dealing with financial pyramids are presented. The role of the Bank of Russia in eliminating illegal activities of financial pyramids is reflected. The paper shows the main reasons for the existence of financial pyramids according to the authors. Recommendations for combating financial pyramids are outlined. The authors of the article suggest installing stands with video lessons on the streets, on buses and in crowded places, as well as near financial institutions that aim to attract customers ' money.

ОБУЧЕНИЕ ФОНЕТИЧЕСКОМУ АСПЕКТУ РКИ НА НАЧАЛЬНОМ ЭТАПЕ В УСЛОВИЯХ ДИСТАНЦИОННОГО ОБУЧЕНИЯ

Objective of the article is to make a list of phonetic exercises, which will be based on the most frequent mistakes in the written and spoken language of foreign students in the process of teaching the Russian language remotely. Applied methods: observation, linguacultural analysis and pedagogical experiment, the result of which is the creation of phonetic exercises for foreign students of the initial stage. Results: finally, a list of proven exercises is provided to help foreigners improve their listening and pronunciation skills. : in conclusion, a list of proven exercises based on speech video lessons by Natalya Gruzinova is provided, which helps foreigners correct existing mistakes in oral speech and improve their hearing and pronunciation skills. Conclusions: often foreign students, who come to Russia face various difficulties in learning the Russian language, in particular, grammatical and phonetic. Having studied various scientific works, we came to the conclusion that insufficient attention has been paid to the phonetic aspect of teaching RFL in the context of distance learning. This thesis substantiates the relevance of the chosen topic.
