AI Socialization in Creating Teaching Materials for Elementary School Teachers in Bukittinggi City West Sumatra

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education offers innovative solutions to improve the quality of learning, especially in creating teaching materials. However, in Bukittinggi City, West Sumatra, many elementary school teachers have not yet utilized this technology due to limited knowledge and skills. Therefore, this community service activity aims to socialize and train elementary school teachers in utilizing AI to create interactive and effective teaching materials. The implementation method of this activity includes socialization of AI theory, practical training on the use of AI applications, group discussions, and direct practice in creating AI-based teaching materials. The results of this activity show an increase in teachers' understanding and skills in using AI. As many as 75% of teachers are able to create more varied and efficient teaching materials by utilizing AI technology. However, several obstacles were found, such as limited technological infrastructure in schools. This socialization activity succeeded in improving teachers' ability to utilize AI, but limited technological infrastructure is a major challenge. The evaluation showed that most teachers needed further training to deepen their understanding of AI technology. In the future, there needs to be increased access to technology and ongoing training to ensure the sustainability of AI utilization in elementary education in Bukittinggi

Development of challenges-based learning thematic model to improve critical thinking skills for primary school students

Learning in elementary schools emphasizes receiving information and subject matter rather than developing thinking abilities and understanding concepts. However, in the 21st century which is full of challenges and rapid changes like now, students need the ability to develop critical thinking. This is a need that should be reflected in the curriculum, because individual growth is basically characterized by Critical and innovative Thinking Skills. Based on needs analysis, this research develops a learning model with a thematic challenges-based learning approach. The novelty of this research lies in the Challenges/Competition. This challenge is integrated with technology-based learning media so that students are able to think critically. The aim of this research is to produce a Thematic Challenges-based Learning model to train elementary school students' critical thinking. This research uses a Research & Development research design. Research and development, or better known as R & D, is research that produces products that can be used to overcome problems faced by practitioners in completing their tasks. This research is a development research that adopts the Ploom model. This research is a development research that adopts the Ploom model. The development process follows Akker et al (2013) development framework, which is divided into three main stages: (1) Preliminary study; (2) development and prototyping; and (3) evaluation. The data in this development research consists of qualitative data and quantitative data. The syntax of the thematic based learning challenge model includes: (1) Big Idea, (2) Thematic Integration (Webbed Model), (3) Main Question, (4) Challenge, (5) Guiding Question, (6) Guiding Activity , (7) Guiding Resources, (8) Direct experience, (9) Solutions, (10) Assessments, and (11) Publications. The advantage of the Challenges-based Learning Thematic learning model is that it can improve students' critical thinking skills because students can learn to solve problems related to everyday life.

TRAINING FOR GRADE I AND II ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN TO UTILIZE THE TRADITIONAL GAME DARET DAMAR JAN AS A MEDIUM FOR LEARNING MATHEMATICS

This Community Service activity (PKM) aims to train elementary school students in grades I and II in Dokabarat village to perform natural number counting operations by utilizing damar fruit through traditional games as learning media. The result of this PKM activity is that elementary school students in grades I and II in Dokabarat village can more easily understand the concept and perform natural number counting operations by utilizing the traditional game of daret damar jan as a learning medium.This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to train elementary school students in grades I and II in Dokabarat village to perform natural number counting operations by utilizing buah damar jan through traditional games as a learning medium. The results of this PKM activity are that elementary school students in grades I and II in Dokabarat village can more easily understand the concept and perform natural number counting operations by utilizing the traditional game of daret damar jan as a learning medium.

Fraction Board Design to Stimulate the Elementary School Students' Critical Thinking Ability Regarding Fraction

This research is motivated by the limited use of mathematics learning media, especially in elementary schools, which can facilitate students' physical activity in building knowledge. This research aims to produce a product in the form of a fraction board that is feasible and has a good impact on the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. The type of research is RnD with the Pomp model. The test subjects in class IV SD N 31 Jati Tanah Tinggi consisted of 30 students. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, interviews and tests. The research results show that fraction board media is suitable for use with very valid criteria. Fraction board media is also easy to use and can train elementary school students' critical thinking skills.

Teacher professional development: ''Be a force for good''

The teacher's lack of understanding of the use of technology in the classroom seems to be inversely proportional to the Merdeka Curriculum which requires teachers and students to be able to keep up with technological developments. Therefore, training on the use of the Canva application as a learning medium for elementary school teachers in Magelang was carried out as teacher professional development effort. The aim of this community service is to train elementary school teachers so they can develop their professionalism in developing interactive learning media that suits students' needs in the current era. By carrying out this community service in three different schools with a total of 22 participants, several stages were carried out. These stages consist of analyzing community problems, identifying problems, finding solutions to problems, preparing activities, implementing activities, evaluating activities and results. The evaluation results of this training activity showed that not only can the participants become more familiar with the Canva application, they are also trained to be able to design learning media in the form of presentations and videos using Canva. The participant satisfaction survey also showed positive results, in fact all participants agreed that they would continue to use Canva as a technology for designing learning media in the future. The root of this solution will certainly have an effect on the students' understanding of the participants later. If students have good academic achievements, they will become the next generation of the nation who can solve problems in this country, including poverty. However, this study was also conducted as a form of community service report which hopefully still can be a guideline and reading material for researchers regarding community service out there.

Musescore Software Training for the Development of TPACK-Based Music Learning in Elementary Schools

Digital literacy and the skills of elementary school teachers in choosing and using scoring applications (musical notation) as a medium as well as a learning resource for students are essential to do. Elementary school education is experiencing several problems today, such as the government's inability to provide training on using applications for the learning process. In addition, not all teachers have the confidence in choosing and determining computer application software that can support learning in class, especially in the subject matter of Cultural Arts and Crafts (SBdP) material in the field of music. Elementary school teachers in the Laweyan sub-district of Surakarta do not yet have optimal insight regarding developing music applications to support material delivery in class. This community service activity is focused on training elementary school teachers to use music scoring (notation) software with the Musescore application. The results of this training found the formation of teacher skills using the Musescore music application to support music learning in elementary schools.

Realistic Mathematic Worksheets for Elementary School Teacher Education Students to Improve Problem Solving

The latest government policy regarding the implementation of the minimum competency assessment (AKM) has an impact on several aspects. One of them is students’ readiness, particularly in elementary schools, to become accustomed to carrying out the literacy and numeracy processes in learning. Prospective elementary school teachers, who are also elementary school teacher education students, are one of the primary targets in their preparation to become teachers who teach or train elementary school students to solve problems, particularly mathematics problems. Approaching realistic mathematics learning based on problem-solving is one of the efforts that can be made in training students. The research aimed to create a student worksheet that used a problemsolving- based realistic mathematical approach. The development method used was a 4D model, which includes defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The use of student worksheets with a realistic mathematical approach based on problem-solving by elementary school teacher education students as a basis for habits that have been ingrained from an early age, so that later they will be able to apply similar things when they have practiced learning in the field, is the result of this research. Педагогические традиции подготовки учителей начальных школ в Псковской Мариинской женской гимназии в конце XIX века

The article presents the historical and pedagogical experience of training teachers for elementary public schools in the eighth (additional) pedagogical class and in pedagogical courses at the Pskov Mariinsky Womens Gymnasium. In the context of the conditions of Russian reality at the end of the 19th century issues related to the need for teaching staff, the interest of regional authorities in their stable training, supported by appropriate financial policies, are highlighted. Particular attention is paid to aspects related to the content and organization of the theoretical and practical training of trainees, as well as their final certification. Conclusions are drawn about the possibility of using a number of the considered pedagogical traditions in the modern system of training elementary school teachers.

The Use of Innovative Technologies in the Process of Forming the Competence of Future Elementary School Teachers as a Requirement of Postmodern Development of Society

The problem deserves special attention, given the urgent need to improve the process of forming the professional competence of future elementary school teachers associated with the need to optimize the components of the educational system in accordance with the needs of students, employers and conditions of postmodern social development. The analysis of the available developments allowed us to determine that the use of innovative learning technologies aimed at the development of the personality of future elementary school teachers is considered promising. The content of professional competence of future elementary school teachers has been analyzed. It was found out that there is no unified approach to the definition of its structure, but the necessary elements are reflexive, operational, methodical, motivational. The development of mobility, creativity and formation of individual pedagogical style are considered necessary for a future teacher. The directions for improving the professional training of future elementary school teachers have been proposed. In particular, they include the definition of ways of forming students' motivation to master the future profession and further continuous professional development, as well as updating the content and structure of professional training in view of the features of postmodern education. The introduction into the educational process of such innovations as methods of active and intensive learning, cooperative learning and coaching technology, which showed positive results in the process of their use, was substantiated. Further research on this aspect consists of the development of methodological recommendations for updating educational programs for training elementary school teachers in the conditions of postmodern development of education and experimental testing of the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Increasing English Vocabulary with Snakes and Ladders Media

English is one of the subjects that must be mastered by students from elementary and secondary levels. However, students often experience difficulty communicating due to a lack of mastery of English vocabulary. This is also supported by learning in schools that use more textbooks than using other more interesting learning methods so that community service activities need to be carried out at SDN 105308 Namo Bintang. The Community Service will be held on February 8, 2023. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The purpose of this community service activity is to train elementary school students to communicate in English to develop knowledge and vocabulary skills by using snakes and ladders media. The method of implementing the activity is carried out through training for children who live at SDN 105308 Namo Bintang. With the use of snakes and ladders media, students at SDN 105308 Namo Bintang are increasingly trained to speak English and master a lot of English vocabulary around their environment

Empowerment of elementary school teachers on Psychosocial Structured Activities (PSSA)

Natural disasters (floods) can cause psychological impacts and potential public health hazards. Children carrying out daily activities will be disturbed, including learning, fear, and remembering the flood under normal conditions. Children need mental health and psychosocial support, which are essential in creating and supporting states that allow optimal growth and welfare of children in disaster situations. Deket Sub-district, one of the sub-districts in Lamongan Regency, is a frequent flood. Sidomulyo Village has the highest flood height, with water levels between 15 to 37 centimeters in 2022. SDN Sidomulyo 1 is one of the schools affected by this annual flood. This activity aims to increase elementary school teachers' knowledge and skills in providing Psychosocial Structured Activities (PSSA) through empowering elementary school teachers. The method used is the first stage: training elementary school teachers, the second stage: assisting elementary school teachers in carrying out PSSA for elementary school students, and the third stage: is evaluation and follow-up plans. The teachers and students were enthusiastic and active in participating in the various stages of the activity. There is an effect of training PSSA on the level of teacher knowledge (p = 0.014), and all teachers have good skills after being given training and mentoring.

Pelatihan Penggunaan Platform Merdeka Mengajar Bagi Guru-Guru SD Korwil II Bengkulu Utara

Merdeka Mengajar Platform is a tech advance which help teachers in teaching, learning and working. Teachers can obtain references, inspirations and understandings in implementing Merdeka Mengajar program. This application is very useful for driving force teachers. In reality, many teachers who still haven’t able to use or even access the application even tough they already have the ID (Special ID for teachers). The purpose of this devotion is to socialize and train elementary school teachers at regional coordinator I how to use the application and the understanding of P5 Pancasila. The method which is used in this devotion is face to face and presentation. The target of the devotion is teachers in Sub-Division I of North Bengkulu. The program conducted at SDN 116 of North Bengkulu. After the devotion, the teachers understand and know how the benefit of Merdeka Mengajar Application and feel the benefit of P5 Pancasila.

RANCANG BANGUN ROBOT LEGO SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN SEKOLAH DASAR BERBASIS ARDUINO MEGA

Students are taught in an ancient way that has been used for a long time so that new technology learning media are needed that motivate students who are creative and understand the world of robotics. Making robots as a learning tool for robotics based on the FKKS SD/MI Muhammadiyah syllabus in Central Java Province which can train elementary school students' skills in designing, assembling, and programming robots using the Arduino Mega microcontroller which is designed in a simple and attractive way. in one set of robots have various abilities such as transporter robots, avoider robots, and line follower robots. On the transporter robot, the movement of the robot is controlled using a joystick and push buttons to control the gripper. In the avoider robot, the sensor used is the HC SR04 sensor, in the analog line follower robot the sensor used is a photodiode sensor coupled with an LED, the output of the sensor is an analog value which will be compared or compared. This robotics learning media is made to be easily accessible and operated by children, therefore the robot mode options can be selected easily via the LCD and buttons on the robot.

A Narrative Study of Professional Growth of Outstanding Elementary School Music Teachers

Outstanding elementary school music teachers are outstanding representatives of the elementary school music teacher community, and they are the objects of study and emulation for general elementary school music teachers. Their professional growth experiences can provide inspiration for teacher education institutions to train elementary school music teachers and for general elementary school music teachers to grow professionally on their own. The narrative study of the outstanding elementary school music teachers revealed that the factors affecting their professional growth were from four aspects: personal, family, school and society, and the basic ways of their professional growth were professional learning, teaching and research activities and reflective summaries. It is pointed out that social opinion and encouragement are the key prerequisites for the professional growth of elementary school music teachers, government support and guidance are the important conditions for the professional growth of elementary school music teachers, and school service and management are the basic guarantees for the professional growth of elementary school music teachers, and independent learning and reflection are the inexhaustible motivation for the professional growth of elementary school music teachers.

Pelatihan Satu Guru Satu Aplikasi Pembelajaran bagi Guru SD Lhoksmawe

The 21st century requires teachers to have skills in utilizing information and communication technology (ICT) in learning. Currently, Android is one of the right media choices in learning in this digital era. This activity aims to train elementary school teachers in improving their ability to use ICT and guide elementary school teachers to create android-based media in learning. Implementation of activities using the method of Direct Instruction, Workshop and Field Guidance. After the activity ended, a closed questionnaire was distributed to find out the results of the activity. The results obtained were an increase in the understanding of ICT for elementary school teachers after this activity was carried out, besides that the teacher was also able to create an Android-based learning application. During the implementation of the activity, the teacher looks enthusiastic and enthusiastic in making applications.

Improvement of Students and Snack Vendors Behavior After Received Health Promotion Program from UKS’s Cadres

Background: School Health Program or UKS aims to improve students learning achievement by improving their health status including the fulfillment of nutrition so that they can grow and develop optimally. The nutritional problems of school-age children in Indonesia, according to Riskesdas 2018 data, are children with the short/stunting category reaching 30.7%, while those who are obese are 8% and anemic 26%. Nutritional problems in school children will affect the quality of human resources in the future. Objectives: This study examined the effect of promoting healthy and safe snacks by UKS’s cadres on increasing knowledge, attitudes, behavior of students and snack sellers.Materials and Methods: The first stage of research was training elementary school students UKS’s cadres who will become educators on promoting healthy and safe food consumption behavior. The second stage was assessed to 360 randomly selected students and 94 school vendors in 12 different schools. The intervention schools received a package of promotions delivered by UKS’s cadres while the comparison group received the poster. Data on knowledge, attitudes, behavior of students and food sellers were collected using a questionnaire instrument. The data were collected by the researchers assisted by 12 enumerators, 6 research field assistants and 12 teachers in charge of the research field. Bivariate analysis using t-test, Wilcoxon test, and Mann Whitney test were used to assess the differences between the groups. Results: After intervention by UKS.s cadres, there was a change in students' knowledge of 51.1% for knowledge of healthy snacks, 52.8% about safe snacks, 82.8% about formalin, 62.8% about borax, and 75.6% about Rhodamine B. Changes in the behavior of snack sellers, the highest percentage of changes in holding food with tools is 62.5% and not holding food after holding money is 54.2%. Increased change were significantly higher in the intervention groups than the comparison group (p <0.05).Conclusion: The UKS’s cadres as trained peer-educators could significantly improve safe and healthy food behavior of students as well as knowledge of snack school vendors. UKS’s cadres as promoters of healthy and safe snacks can be used as a mandatory UKS program in school to achieve food safety for school children

The Impact of Online Mentoring in Implementing RADEC Learning to the Elementary School Teachers’ Competence in Training Students’ Critical Thinking Skills: A Case Study During COVID-19 Pandemic

This study aims to describe the impact of online mentoring activities in implementing the RADEC (Read, Answer, Discuss, Explain, and Create) learning model on the competence of elementary school teachers in training students’ critical thinking skills. The method was a pre-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 25 elementary school teachers in Indonesia. The teachers received online mentoring in implementing RADEC learning model. The research instrument was a questionnaire to measure teachers’ knowledge and skills in training critical thinking. The data processing technique was carried out by calculating the mean and the percentage of each item to obtain a description of the teachers’ knowledge and skills in training students’ critical thinking before and after treatment. The data were analyzed inferentially with a paired sample t-test using SPSS version 22 software to see the impact of the treatment on teachers’ competence in training critical thinking. Based on the results of the paired-sample t-test, for both the knowledge and skills aspects, the probability value (sig) was 0.00 <0.05. This result means that there was a significant difference in the knowledge and skills of teachers in training students’ critical thinking skills before and after mentoring activities. The study results indicate that the online mentoring in implementing the RADEC learning model improved teachers’ competence in training elementary school students’ critical thinking skills.

The conclusion is that the scientific literacy of elementary school students must be trained. Learning that can be used to train scientific literacy is through inquiry learning. In inquiry learning must pay attention to the characteristics, characteristics, principles, stages of implementation, and advantages and disadvantages. In training scientific literacy, you must pay attention to competencies, indicators, and learning steps.

ABSTRACT
 Learning English at an early age has advantages both biologically and psychologically. Departing from these advantages, the Indonesian government through the Basic Education Curriculum establishes English as a local content that begins to be taught in grade four elementary schools, because English language skills are important enough to be mastered by all levels of society in the global era. In an effort to help make this happen, a community service program in the form of Express English Learning was carried out by training elementary school students in English. This activity was carried out at SDN 97 Inpres Tellumpanuae, Mallawa District, Maros Regency, South Sulawesi. This activity is carried out as an effort to provide English lessons for elementary school students so that they can apply it in every formal and non-formal activity. Besides, this activity is expected to increase students' knowledge and interest, and realize the importance of learning foreign languages, especially English, to increase the nation's competitiveness in the global community. From the results of this activity, it can be concluded that the Express English Learning program can help the primary students gain insight and increase their interest and learning outcomes in learning English.

Development of Ceramic Arts In-Service Training Program for Enhancing Artistic Expertise of Elementary School Teacher

학교 예술교육에 있어 교사의 예술 전문성은 매우 중요하며, 그 중에서도 초등학교에서의 예술교육은 전인 교육 관점에서매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 그러나 초등교사가 예술 전문성을 갖출 수 있는 기회는 턱없이 부족할 뿐만 아니라, 이를 중요하게 인식하지 않는 경향으로 인하여 도외시되고 있다. 도예를 통한 예술 전문성 신장은 미술문화에 대한 관점을 넓혀 예술과 함께 하는 삶으로 이끄는 데 일조할 수 있다. 이러한 필요성으로 본 연구에서는 초등교사의 예술 전문성 신장을 위하여직무연수 도예 프로그램을 개발하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 초등교사를 대상으로 예술 전문성의 개념과 도예 프로그램에 대한 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 2회에 걸쳐 전문가 면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 도예교육을 위한 초등교사 예술 전문성은 ‘정체성 확립’(‘초등교사 정체성 확립’, ‘초등미술교육 확립’), ‘도예문화 역량 및 학문적 지식’(‘도예문화의 이해’, ‘도예이론’), ‘도예 실기’(‘교과서 도예작품 제작’, ‘생활도자기 제작’, ‘도예 전통문양 제작-‘박지, 상감 문양’)로 제안하여 도예 프로그램을 개발하였다. 본 연구는 도예교육 관점에서 초등교사 예술 전문성을 진단하고 이를 기초로 직무 연수를 위한 도예프로그램을 개발을 모색했다는 데에 의의가 있다.Expertise of teachers in art is essential for the art education, especially crucial in elementary school in the aspect of the all-round education. However, there are insufficient opportunities to train elementary school teachers to obtain artistic expertise; moreover, the significance of artistic expertise is often neglected. Expanding artistic expertise particularly through the ceramic arts enlightens their insights in arts culture to enrich their lives. Regards to the needs, this study focuses on the development of the ceramic arts training program as a part of the in-service training to enhancing the artistic expertise of elementary school teachers. The result of this study concludes the three criteria for elementary school teacher’s expertise in the arts; ‘identity establishment (elementary teacher’s identity, elementary arts education settlement),’ ‘capability of the ceramic arts and academic knowledge (understanding of ceramic arts culture, ceramic arts theory),’ and ‘practical abilities of ceramic arts (realizing ceramic pieces in a textbook, crafting tableware, crafting traditional pattern in ceramic arts).’ Hence, the program is distinguishable from the existing in-service training program in that it is based on the expertise of elementary school teacher measured through the lens of the ceramic art education.
