The challenges and countermeasures of curriculum development of basic education in the era of artificial intelligence-- educational transformation based on ChatGPT

The rise of ChatGPT era will bring great changes to human production and life, and also pose a major challenge to the implementation and reform of basic education curriculum. This will lead to an all-round reform of basic education curriculum theory, basic education curriculum system and basic education curriculum practice. This paper comprehensively analyzes the impact of ChatGPT on the basic education curriculum and the challenges faced in the educational transformation from a systematic perspective. The technical characteristics of ChatGPT and its advantages in enabling basic education curriculum construction are deeply studied. At the same time, the challenges facing the construction of digital educational resources are analyzed in detail. The paper also puts forward some suggestions on basic education knowledge system, curriculum implementation, teaching methods, teachers and students' digital literacy and so on.

Quantum Teaching in An Islamic Perspective

This article examines Quantum Teaching according to Islamic Education, by discussing the methodology used in the design, presentation, and facilities used in teaching. This study was conducted to contribute thoughts from the author so that it can be input material to see the possibility of its application in efforts to improve and develop Islamic Education Institutions. This article uses a bibliographical approach where the data comes from various sources. This study shows that there have been several improvements in Islamic education teaching methods in modern times. The purpose of writing this article is to produce Islamic Education graduates who develop all their potential and have a positive attitude in Islamic Education Institutions or lecturers who teach using the Islamic education method. Quantum Teaching as well as preparing graduates who have broad insight, emotional intelligence, skills, and have self-confidence and are able to compete in the globalization era.

The reality of the adequacy of teaching and the extent of availability for teachers of teaching methods in physical education for private schools from the students' point of view


 The research aimed at evaluation of the adequacy of teaching and the extent of availability for teachers of teaching methods in physical education for private schools from the students' point of view in terms of standards and provisions that help to work well in a manner consistent with the changes occurring in the world and technical development.As the research methods for finding the relationship between the teacher and the student in the evaluation, evaluation and level, the student being the nucleus of a good teacher in the future through the teaching and teaching competencies of the teacher, which he instilled in the student .. The research also addressed the weaknesses and strengths that the teacher uses for students to reach the best competencies and strengthening it as required. The research concluded that there is no specific and fixed approach by the teacher in the subject, which leads to being an obstacle in understanding the subject in a positive way. Some of the sample members believe that the material delivered by the teacher suits their physical and skill abilities.The largest number of students when the answer sees the absence of educational lectures and techniques for physical education; therefore, it reduces the correct understanding and comprehension of the sport subject .. The researcher recommended that there should be a fixed course for students without relying on lectures and reproduction . Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize the presentation of lectures to pupils on the pupils, the da-show, and others, and make monthly meetings for students to listen to problems with regard to education and lectures to learn skills and games.
 

Factors Influencing Students' Integration Into English Classrooms in Ecologically Fragile Environments

The internet and informatization have brought a great impact on English classrooms in ecologically fragile areas, bringing convenience to the teaching of some colleges and universities, but also negatively affecting some colleges and universities in ecologically fragile areas that still use traditional lecture-style classroom teaching methods. The entire classroom is an ecological environment, and it is necessary to control the appropriate density (the number of students) and the teaching methods of teachers. How to accurately evaluate whether students in ecologically fragile areas integrate into English classrooms? The authors use the linear regression method in the teaching evaluation model and the density-based outlier detection method to clean the abnormal data. Such independence attributes, a correlation analysis method proposed, which judges dependencies and attributes according to the confidence of the rules, and then combines the correlation coefficients between attributes to determine the feature items with strong correlation.

Exploration of Intelligent Teaching Means of Ideological and Political Education in Colleges and Universities Under the Background of “Mass Entrepreneurship”

The concept of “great ideological and political education” requires comprehensive ideological education to better achieve the educational goals of “innovation and entrepreneurship.” This article analyzes and explores the intelligent teaching methods of ideological and political education in universities under the background of “innovation and entrepreneurship,” and constructs an intelligent teaching system of ideological and political education in universities under this background. The experimental results show that the stability of the system reaches 95.2%, and the learning efficiency of students has been improved by 11.5%. This work provides important application guidance for big data analysis and IoT sensor data.

A Study Applying Rogers’ Innovation Diffusion Theory on the Adoption Process of New Teaching Methods in Secondary Education

This longitudinal study explores the adoption process of new teaching methods in U.S. secondary education from 2010 to 2022, utilizing Rogers’ Innovation Diffusion Theory as a theoretical framework. The research investigates the dynamics of innovation diffusion by analyzing the roles of adopter categories, such as innovators, early adopters, early majority, late majority, and laggards. The study delves into factors influencing adoption, including the perceived relative advantage of innovations, compatibility with existing practices, and the impact of interpersonal networks. The findings contribute valuable insights into the nuanced landscape of educational innovation, emphasizing the pivotal role of early adopters and the applicability of Rogers’ theory in understanding the complex adoption process. The implications for educators, policymakers, and researchers are discussed, along with recommendations for future research in the field of innovation diffusion in secondary education.

A comparison of the parental values of children's extracurricular music learning in Guilin, China and in Tampa, United States.

Many parents enroll their children in extracurricular music activities. However, cultural differences may contribute to parents' different values that ultimately influence their behaviors and attitudes. This cross-cultural study aimed to compare the value parents have on their children's private music education by examining four cases in Guilin, Guangxi (China) and Tampa, Florida (United States). Two main research questions guided this study: (1) How do parents in Guilin and Tampa perceive and value their children's music learning? (2) Does the value parents hold for their children's extracurricular music activities differ across different cultural contexts? If so, how do parents' values and perceptions of their children's involvement in extracurricular music activities differ between the contexts of Guilin and Tampa? We purposefully selected participants from two regions based on these criteria: (a) the participants included a single-child family and a two-child family in each of the two regions; (b) children's age ranged from 5 to 12 years and lived with their biological parents (c) children were currently taking music lessons after school. We interviewed both children and parents during the data collection. The key findings reveal that parental values transcend two cultural contexts, specifically in (1) motivations for music learning, (2) expectations of music learning, (3) utilizing personal background, and (4) strategies for success. The findings suggest that several factors, such as children's autonomy, musical joy, pursuit of musical career, "beauty development" and achievements, may have contributed to parents' values. The implication for parents, psychologists, and policymakers is to understand the diverse needs and values within different cultural backgrounds, to promote the children's development, to design curricula, and to use effective teaching methods in music education. In conclusion, both Guilin's and Tampa's parents' values varied due to cultural differences, which further influenced their behaviors, attitudes and perceptions toward their children's musical experiences.

RESEARCH AND IMPLEMENTATION OF END-TO-END TECHNOLOGIES INTO THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM OF THE UNIVERSITY

This article explores and develops innovative approaches to integrating end-to-end technologies into education. End-to-end technologies are fundamentally new technological solutions that permeate all aspects of the educational process, combining curricula, teaching methods and assessment of results together. The purpose of this article is to study and adapt end-to-end technologies in order to increase the effectiveness of education, improve the availability of educational resources, and develop critical thinking and creative skills of students. The article will analyze existing end-to-end technologies and identify the most promising approaches for implementation in the educational process. Practical tools and techniques will be developed based on the use of end-to-end technologies that can be applied in educational institutions at various levels. As part of the study, the authors also pay attention to the aspect of training teaching staff to use end-to-end technologies. It is noted that the integration of these technologies, in addition to technical, also requires pedagogical training.

The Effect of the Flipped Learning Approach on Engineering Students’ Technology Acceptance and Self-Directed Learning Perception

The contemporary landscape of education is witnessing a paradigm shift toward innovative instructional methods, with the flipped learning approach gaining considerable attention. The purpose of this research was to investigate the impact of the flipped learning approach on students’ perception and acceptance throughout an entire semester in the ‘Introduction to Programming with Java’ course. The research utilized a research design with a quantitative approach, ultimately aiming to inform educational practice and advance our knowledge of innovative teaching methods in higher education. This study was conducted at a university with 174 students involved, divided into two groups: 87 students in the experimental group and 87 students in the control group. The data collected through the scales were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis techniques in statistical software. At the end of the measurements, the technology acceptance level and self-directed learning perceptions of engineering students who received education with flipped learning were high. The results suggest that educators should consider students’ readiness for self-directed learning when implementing the flipped learning approach and focus on creating an environment that supports their autonomy and engagement. This research offers valuable guidance for instructors, curriculum designers, and educational policymakers seeking to enhance the effectiveness of flipped learning in higher education courses.

Comparison of the effectiveness of virtual reality-based education and conventional teaching methods in dental education: a systematic review

Background and objectivesVirtual reality dental simulators as an educational tool may create specific training conditions for dental students, allowing them to practice dental skills in a safe and controlled condition. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of virtual reality-based education in dental education compared to traditional education approaches.MethodsIn this systematic review, four databases (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and Science Direct) were searched until 2023 following PRISMA guidelines. The Quality assessment and risk of bias were assessed by the Cochrane Collaboration Tool for RCTs and GRADE, respectively. Inclusion criteria were restricted to randomized or quasi-randomized trials about virtual reality efficacy in dental education. Two authors independently evaluated the data and reviewed the overall risk of bias for all selected studies. Study design, sample size, hardware, onset time of intervention, duration, and number of procedures performed were among the data extracted.ResultsFrom the 703 titles, 48 full texts were chosen for review, yielding 14 articles for final inclusion. The review of these articles indicated the effective role of virtual reality dental simulators in improving students' knowledge and practical skills.ConclusionsBased on our findings, adding haptic technology to virtual reality can improve students' practical skills, hand skills, theoretical knowledge, self-confidence, and learning environment. Although a fair amount of research needs to be done, notably on cost-effectiveness, student satisfaction, and other potentially adverse effects, virtual reality is a growing phenomenon with immense potential.

Initial Validation of the Teaching Methods Scale in Physical Education

Purpose: Drawing on current theoretical perspectives on teaching methods (i.e., constructivism, cognitivism, or behaviorism), the present research developed a scale to assess students’ perceptions of teaching methods in physical education. Method: Four studies were conducted to design and analyze the psychometric properties of this scale: (a) to create the scale through a think-aloud protocol (n = 4) and an expert panel (n = 4), (b) to test the initial factor structure (nStudy 2 = 465), (c) to reevaluate the psychometric structure with an expert panel and a cross-sectional study (nStudy 3 = 1,420), and (d) to confirm the scale structure and test concurrent validity and factorial invariance (nStudy 4 = 1,208). Results: These conjoint efforts identified a four-factor structure underlying the teaching methods in physical education (constructivist, cognitivist, behaviorist, and laissez-faire methods) and provided preliminary evidence for its validity and reliability. Conclusion: The teaching methods in physical education enables researchers to systematically examine students’ perceptions of teaching methods in the PE class.

Construction of a Classification Model for Teacher and Student Behavior in Physical Education Classrooms –Based on Multimodal Data

Abstract The analysis of teachers' and students' behaviors in physical education classrooms is an important way to improve the quality of physical education teaching and teaching methods, which helps teachers to check the gaps and improve the teaching level. In this paper, for the problems of data differences between multiple modalities and the conflict between feature extraction modules of different modalities, we designed a dual-stream framework HRformer algorithm based on Transformer, which unifies the skeletal modalities and video modalities in the algorithm. The relationship between skeletal and video modalities is modeled using the self-attention mechanism, and the matching and fusion of skeletal features and video data is performed to construct a behavior recognition model for teachers and students in the sports classroom based on multimodal data. Then, the model is compared with mainstream networks on the dataset to verify its performance. To conduct model application and example analysis, a university collects data on physical education classroom teachers and students for a semester. It is found that the multimodal model in this paper has a classification F1 value of 95.61%, 93.19%, and 93.74% for the three types of behavior recognition, namely, skill training (ST), game activity (GA), and rest, respectively, which are higher than the two methods of single skeletal modality and video modality. The model has the highest recognition accuracy of 97.12% and 98.15% for Game Activity (GA). Based on real physical education classroom data, the practical application of the model in physical education teaching classrooms in this paper is fruitful, and the results of behavioral recognition classification are in line with the design expectation. This study develops an effective method for classifying teacher and student behaviors in a physical education classroom. It provides a useful exploration for the integration and innovation of physical education teaching and information technology.

Students’ perception toward traditional versus interactive lectures in preclinical operative dentistry course: A comparative cross-sectional study

ABSTRACT Background: A lecture is one of the most common methods of teaching in higher education. The lecture is generally divided into interactive and traditional. Objectives: This study aimed to assess and compare senior and junior preclinical dental students’ perceptions of interactive lectures versus traditional lectures during the preclinical operative course. Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive, comparative cross-sectional study among 100 undergraduate students from Igraa College, Sudan. Students from 2 class years were involved; the first one was batch 2 (semester 6) and the second group was batch 3 (semester 5). Fourteen preclinical operative dentistry lectures were delivered to both classes (7 lectures were interactive and 7 were traditional) during the full-time course. At the end of the course, a self-administered questionnaire included questions about students’ demographic data and their perceptions toward traditional and interactive lectures. A comparison between different nonparametric data was done by Chi-square test with the level of significance set at P < 0.05. Results: The response rate was 77%, where male students were 26 (33.8%) and female students were 51 (66.2%). There was no statistically significant difference between sex and class year in terms of the student’s preference for the types of lecture. Female students 42 (54.5%) and male students 24 (31.2%) agreed that interactive lectures increase focus on the material more than traditional lectures. The majority of students from both class years agreed that interactive lectures help them in leadership skills 58 (75.4%) and improving their communication between professors and students 65 (84.4%). Conclusions: interactive teaching has been greatly accepted by students who were accustomed to traditional teaching with differences in the preference of either type of lecture.

The Study of The Dissemination of Chinese Language in Africa—The Case of Cameroon

The dissemination of Chinese language in contemporary Africa is inextricably linked to economic, social and academic factors. Taking Cameroon as an example, this paper uses behaviorism and postmodernism theories to analyze the collected data, and discusses the factors and important roles of Chinese language and Chinese language studies from a different perspective from many international critics. This paper examines the analysis and discussion of the reasons for the international spread of Chinese by scholars and critics in other countries; then through open and closed questionnaires, analyzes the learner‘s motivation and related research. The author puts forward suggestions for Chinese teaching in Africa. Through data analysis, it is found that the main factors that drive Cameroonians to learn Chinese and study China are: the prospect of getting a Chinese translation job, the desire to get a scholarship to study in China, and the various factors that the Chinese market has to satisfy one’s purchasing power with various goods. Through the research, it can be concluded that China’s prosperous economy as a whole constitutes an external stimulus for Chinese language dissemination and Chinese research in Cameroon; at the same time, there are obstacles in Chinese language dissemination, and countermeasures need to be taken: adjusting and changing the teaching methods of Chinese teachers, In order to avoid negative impact on learners’ interest in learning; take measures to change Cameroonians’ preconceptions about Chinese, Chinese characters and the whole Chinese society; at the same time, add practical courses and provide rich learning resources.

Analysis Of The Impact Of Internal Evaluation On Improving Teaching Methods For Sharia Science Teachers At The Secondary Stage In The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia

The aim of the study: The study aimed to analyze the impact of internal assessment on improving teaching methods for Islamic science teachers in secondary education in Saudi Arabia. Study Methodology: The study utilized a descriptive approach. Study Population: The study was conducted in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, specifically in the cities of Al-Ahsa, Dammam, Khobar, Qatif, and Dhahran. Study Sample: The study included a group of secondary school teachers in the aforementioned cities, comprising a total of 20 female teachers. Study tool: The study relied on the interview guide tool to identify the impact of internal evaluation on improving teaching methods for female Sharia science teachers at the secondary stage in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Study Results: The study reached a set of results, including that internal evaluation has a significant impact on teachers’ choice of teaching methods in the field of Sharia sciences, that internal evaluation is a valuable tool for developing teachers’ abilities in Sharia sciences, and that it helps in improving teachers’ teaching and interaction skills with students

Application of mathematical modeling in analyzing and optimizing English teaching methods in vocational education

Abstract In the era of big data, mathematical and scientific methods significantly contribute to educational reform, continuously revitalizing precision teaching. In this paper, we use the new Hawkes process to collect and vectorize data on how students learn. Then, we use the unique thermal coding method to combine the behavioral feature vector with the teaching feature vector. Finally, we classify the data and use the softmax function to predict the learning effect. Based on the prediction results, a mathematical model for precise teaching optimization of vocational education English has been established, and the decision function is used to solve the problem and optimize teaching methods. It was found that all the indicators of learning behavior characteristics of students in the experimental class applying the teaching method optimization model were significantly improved, and there was a significant difference at the level of 0.05 (P = 0.000<0.05). Furthermore, the students in the experimental class achieved higher academic performance in vocational education English than those in the control class under traditional teaching. This paper provides a scientific basis for teaching English to students in vocational education and provides methodological references and ideas for unfolding individualized and precise learning in classroom teaching.
