Implementasi Manajemen Peserta Didik dalam Kaderisasi Siswa Berprestasi di SMK MU Cimerak: Studi Kasus Atlet Voli

This research aims to analyze the implementation of student management in the volleyball athlete cadre formation process at SMK MU Cimerak, with a focus on talent identification and development strategies, the challenges faced, as well as the impact of the program on sports achievements and student character development. Using qualitative research methods, data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, which was then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model analysis technique. The research results show that the cadre formation program implemented collaboratively between MTs N 2 Pangandaran and SMK MU Cimerak is effective in developing students' talents and character, despite facing challenges such as limited financial resources and facilities as well as maintaining a balance between sports and academic achievements. This program has succeeded in producing outstanding athletes at the national level and forming students who are disciplined and confident. This research concludes that good student management can increase the effectiveness of cadre formation programs, have a positive impact on developing students' talents and character, and become a model for other schools that wish to develop similar programs.

Exploration of the Curriculum Reform Path in the Period of High-Quality Development of University Educational Psychology

The theoretical and applied characteristics of educational psychology courses in colleges and universities are prominent, and actively promoting curriculum reform is more conducive to promoting the implementation of talent training goals, which is in line with the practical needs of social development for high-quality talents. However, curriculum reform is a systematic project, which involves the innovation of curriculum content systems, teaching methods, teaching evaluations, and so on. This paper mainly expounds on the curriculum reform path in the period of high-quality development of educational psychology in colleges and universities, hoping to play a reference role in improving the level of education management.

Semantic sensor data integration for talent development via hybrid multi‐objective evolutionary algorithm

AbstractIn this work, we propose a new hybrid Multi‐Objective Evolutionary Algorithm (hMOEA) specifically designed for semantic sensor data integration, targeting talent development within the burgeoning field of the Semantic Internet of Things (SIoT). Our approach synergizes the capabilities of Multi‐Objective Particle Swarm Optimization and Genetic Algorithms to tackle the sophisticated challenges inherent in Sensor Ontology Matching (SOM). This innovative hMOEA framework is adapt at discerning precise semantic correlations among diverse ontologies, thereby facilitating seamless interoperability and enhancing the functionality of IoT applications. Central to our contributions are the development of an advanced multi‐objective optimization model that underpins the SOM process, the implementation of the hMOEA framework which sets a new benchmark for accurate semantic sensor data integration, and the rigorous validation of hMOEA's superiority through extensive testing in varied real‐world SOM scenarios. This research not only marks a significant advancement in SOM but also highlights the critical role of cutting‐edge SOM methodologies in educational curricula, for example, the new business subject education proposed by China in recent years, aimed at equipping future professionals with the necessary skills to innovate and lead in the SIoT and SW domains.

Striking a balance: Exploring attention, attack accuracy and speed in fencing performance.

In fencing, it remains unclear whether practice enhances visual-spatial attention allocation. We explored whether this ability is improved in fencers and if it is related to attack speed and accuracy. Twelve novices (<1year of experience) and 12 trained epee fencers (18±10years of experience) visited the laboratory twice (familiarization and testing session). They performed a covert orienting of visuospatial attention test (COVAT) on a computer and an epee test, involving 30 trials of 3 shuttles followed by fast attack phases where the fencers quickly hit a target (randomly proposed out of 8). We measured COVAT reaction time, number of successful target hits, and execution time to hit in the fencing test. We found shorter COVAT reaction time for trained fencers (332±24ms) versus novices (367±32ms; p<0.001). The number of hits was greater for trained fencers (22±3) versus novices (16±3; p<0.001). ANCOVA showed a difference in execution time at the test (823±73ms vs. 913±141ms, p=0.035). A relationship was found between hits and execution time and between execution time and COVAT reaction time for the trained group (r=0.62, p=0.03 and r=0.70, p=0.01, respectively) but not in the novice group (r=0.11, p=0.72 and r=0.45, p=0.14, respectively). Mediation analysis showed that the relationship between execution time and number of hits (ADE: p=0.008) was not mediated by COVAT reaction time (ACME: p=0.17). These results evidence the importance of visual-spatial attention allocation in fencing and evidence differences between novices and trained fencers with important implications for talent development in the early career stage.

Study on Talent Cultivation Management Model of Universities Based on Fuzzy Neural Network Algorithm

The Talent Cultivation Management Model for Universities represents a strategic framework designed to optimize the development and oversight of academic programs. This model focuses on identifying, nurturing, and assessing talents within the university ecosystem. It incorporates innovative methodologies to align educational offerings with individual needs and career goals. This study presents an innovative approach to developing a talent cultivation management model for universities, leveraging the integration of the Fuzzy Neural Network Algorithm with the proposed Optimized Spider Monkey Fuzzy Neural Network (OSMF-NN). Recognizing the critical importance of talent development in higher education, this research seeks to enhance the efficacy and adaptability of existing management models. The OSMF-NN algorithm, inspired by the optimization capabilities of spider monkey behavior, enhances the traditional fuzzy neural network algorithm, enabling more precise and efficient talent management. By harnessing the synergies between fuzzy logic and neural networks, the proposed model offers a robust framework for identifying, nurturing, and evaluating talents within the university ecosystem. Through comprehensive experimentation and validation, this study demonstrates the effectiveness of the OSMF-NN algorithm in optimizing talent cultivation strategies, promoting personalized learning experiences, and fostering student success in higher education institutions.

Status of Professional Identity, Self-Directed Learning Competence, and Self-Efficacy Among Central Sterile Supply Department Nurses.

BACKGROUND Previous studies on professional identity, self-directed learning competence, and self-efficacy among central sterile supply department (CSSD) nurses are rare. We investigated the status of these 3 characteristics among CSSD nurses and offered suggestions, to provide a reference for CSSD talent development. MATERIAL AND METHODS CSSD nurses working in 45 hospitals in southwest China were invited to participate in a questionnaire survey in August 2021. The survey comprised a general information questionnaire, a self-directed learning competence rating scale, a professional identity scale, and a general self-efficacy scale. RESULTS The CSSD nurses' scores for professional identity, self-directed learning competence, and self-efficacy were 109.92±17.161, 125.77±21.316, and 26.92±6.633, respectively. For professional identity, statistically significant differences were identified (P≤0.05) for 3 factors: monthly income, reason for studying nursing, and reason for working in the CSSD. For self-directed learning competence, statistically significant differences (P≤0.05) were identified for 5 factors: age, hospital grade, type of employee, monthly income, and reason for working in the CSSD. For self-efficacy, statistically significant differences were identified (P≤0.05) for 3 factors: age, reason for studying nursing and working in the CSSD, and whether the CSSD nurses wished their children to become nurses. CONCLUSIONS The professional identity, self-directed learning competence, and self-efficacy of the CSSD nurses in this study were at the medium level. More attention should be paid to career planning of young nurses and improvement of their professional identity and self-directed learning competence.

In addition, the study highlights the experience of leading manufacturing companies such as Haier in building digital supply chains, which provides valuable experience for SMEs seeking to improve their competitiveness and adaptability. This study also delves into key issues that hinder the implementation of digital supply chain projects, such as financial constraints, technological barriers, talent shortages and cybersecurity issues. Based on these findings, this study proposes that companies adopt a phased digital transformation strategy, focus on talent development and technology adoption, and collaborate with government and stakeholders to create an environment that fosters digital innovation and enhances resilience. Ultimately, successfully addressing supply chain risks in the age of digital intelligence requires proactive strategies, flexible adaptation and cross-sectoral collaboration to drive sustainable growth and competitiveness in the digital economy.

Narrative based online career group counseling program: an explanatory sequential design

AbstractThe aim of this study is to determine the effect of the Narrative Based Online Career Group Counseling Program on the career exploration, career and talent development self-efficacy, and career development of fourth grade primary school students. An explanatory sequential mixed-method design was used in the study. A 2 × 3 quasiexperimental design was used in the quantitative part, and a focus group interview was used in the qualitative part. The results showed that the program had a significant impact and could support career development in children. Thus, a career program with proven effectiveness that can be implemented in schools has been emerged.

Systematic Review Strategi Pengembangan Talenta dalam Era Digital: Membangun Sumber Daya Manusia Unggul di Masa Depan

In the fast-changing digital era, human capital (HR) has become a strategic asset for organisations to maintain competitive advantage. However, organisations face challenges in developing employee talent to deal with technological disruption, changing demographics and new skill needs. This study conducted a systematic review of the literature to identify talent development strategies that are effective in building superior human capital in the digital era. The results show that key strategies include digital skills development, identification of talent for digital initiatives, a culture of innovation and flexibility, utilisation of technology and data analytics in talent development, and a holistic and strategic approach. A combination of these strategies is needed to effectively face the challenges of the digital era, so that organisations can build excellent, adaptive and ready-to-face human resources for the changing business environment.

Status and Prospects of Higher Education Cooperation between China and GCC Countries from the Perspective of the "Belt and Road" Initiative

GCC countries occupy a unique and indispensable position in the Belt and Road Initiative. It is crucial for China and GCC countries to foster humanistic exchanges and support talent development through cooperation in higher education. Since the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, China-GCC higher education cooperation has made significant progress, including the initial establishment of cooperation mechanisms, the consolidation of historical foundations in humanities and social sciences exchanges, and the creation of new opportunities for collaboration in science and technology. However, compared to Western countries, China-GCC higher education cooperation remains relatively weak and has substantial room for development. Future efforts can elevate this cooperation by promoting joint educational programs, establishing higher-level mechanisms for humanities exchanges, and deepening collaboration in frontier fields.

Learning Organization: The Importance of Employee Training and Development

Abstract Organizational learning is a concept in which an organization continuously develops the ability to learn, adapt, and change. In this context, employee training and development plays an important role to ensure that organizations remain competitive and successful in an ever-changing environment. This article discusses the importance of employee training and development in learning organizations, the challenges faced in their implementation, as well as strategies for implementing them effectively. Among the main interests discussed are increased productivity and work performance, employee retention, increased profitability, adaptation to technological changes, the development of internal talents, as well as the formation of a positive organizational culture. However, there are some challenges that need to be addressed, such as cost and resource allocation, difficulty measuring ROI, employee resistance to change, as well as difficulty identifying the right training needs and ensuring the transfer of learning to the workplace. Effective implementation strategies include careful assessment of training needs, appropriate program design, use of technology in training, as well as continuous evaluation and feedback. Top management support, integration with business strategies, and the creation of a learning culture are also essential for successful implementation. Construction of a four-dimensional nurturing model for the cultivation of applied innovative talents in inland waterway ship and ocean engineering majors

This study aims to establish a four-dimensional nurturing model tailored for the cultivation of applied innovative talents within the inland waterway ship and ocean engineering majors. By conducting a thorough analysis of the current state of professional talent cultivation and identifying the principal challenges, the study delineates the theoretical underpinnings and constituent elements of the four-dimensional nurturing model. Furthermore, it investigates the model's application in the construction of curricular systems, the reform of practical teaching, the cultivation of innovative capabilities, and the enhancement of humanistic qualities. The research employs case analysis to empirically test the effectiveness of the model and devises an evaluation index system to assess its outcomes. Results indicate that the four-dimensional nurturing model significantly enhances students' comprehensive abilities, offering fresh perspectives and methodologies for professional talent development. Lastly, the study proposes recommendations for policy formulation and future research directions.

Middle school students’ career parental support and adolescent–parent career congruence: the mediating role of self-efficacy

AbstractSocial cognitive career theory accepts that an individual’s career journey occurs through the interaction of multiple factors. The career development process includes internal or external factors’ positive or negative effects. This study aims to examine the mediating role of career and talent development self-efficacy, which expresses the belief about a person’s ability, in the relationship between two variables related to parents (adolescent–parent career adaptation—career-related parental support), which is an important factor in the career development of secondary school students. The model was tested with data collected from 652 secondary school students. The results showed that career and ability self-efficacy had a partial mediating role between career-related parental support and adolescent–parent career adjustment. Suggestions are presented to increase adolescent–parent harmony.

Dual-task costs in speed tasks: a comparison between elite ice hockey, open-skill and closed-skill sports athletes.

Ice hockey is a high pace sports game that requires players to integrate multiple skills. Players face perceptive, cognitive, and motor tasks concurrently; hence, players are regularly exposed to dual- or multi-task demands. Dual-tasking has been shown to lead to decreased performance in one or both performed tasks. The degree of performance reductions might be modulated by the exhaustion of cognitive resources. Literature on dual-task paradigms that combine sport-relevant elements is scarce. Therefore, a novel paradigm combining cyclical speed of the lower extremities and concurrent visuo-verbal speed reading was tested and validated. Additionally, to understand the nature of dual-task costs, the relationship between these costs and cognitive performance was assessed. We hypothesized occurrence of dual-task costs in all athletes without relationship to single task performance. Differences in dual-task cost were expected between open-skill and closed-skill sports, as well as differing expertise levels. Level of cognitive function was expected to explain some variance in dual-task cost. A total of 322 elite athletes (120 ice hockey, 165 other team sports, 37 closed-skill sports) participated in this study. Each athlete performed a tapping task, a visuo-verbal speed-reading task, and both tasks simultaneously. All ice hockey athletes performed additional cognitive tests assessing processing speed, spatial working memory, sustained attention, two choice reaction time, and motor inhibition. The results of paired-sample t-tests confirmed significant dual-task costs for all sport groups (p < 0.001). Single-task performance and dual-task costs correlated weakly in a positive direction. A one-way ANOVA revealed significantly greater costs in closed-skill sports athletes than in ice hockey and other sports athletes. No significant differences in dual-task costs were found between teams of differing expertise levels. Lastly, no significant regression model was found to predict dual-task costs from cognitive test performance. Our study suggests that this novel dual-task paradigm was successful in inducing dual-task costs for all elite athletes. Since it distinguishes between closed-skill and open-skill sports athletes, it might be a valuable diagnostic tool for performance and for talent development of open-skill athletes. Dual-task costs could not be relevantly predicted via cognitive performance measures, questioning cognitive resource theories as an explanation for dual-task costs.

Analysis of Factors Influencing Experimental Teaching Satisfaction Based on ISM-MICMAC

The satisfaction with experimental teaching is of utmost importance for improving educational quality, promoting student development, and fostering the professional growth of teachers. Researching the factors influencing satisfaction with experimental teaching, as well as the hierarchical relationships and mechanisms of action among these factors, provides significant theoretical foundations and practical guidance for conducting scientific and targeted reforms in experimental teaching. Based on literature research and questionnaire surveys, fifteen factors affecting experimental teaching satisfaction were selected across five dimensions: teachers, curriculum, students, environment, and interaction. The Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) was used to reveal the hierarchical relationships among these factors, and the Cross-Impact Matrix Multiplication Applied to a Classification (MICMAC) method was employed to validate the model’s scientific validity and assess the driving forces and dependencies of each factor. The research results indicate that self-efficacy, academic emotions, perceived course value, teacher-student interaction, and peer interaction are direct factors influencing experimental teaching satisfaction and exhibit a high level of interdependence. Teacher’s teaching competence, laboratory management, course content, course resources, and laboratory environment are deeper influencing factors with strong driving forces, positively impacting both the direct factors and intermediary factors such as teaching models and course assessment. Based on the analysis results, improvement strategies, and recommendations are proposed to enhance the quality of experimental teaching and the effectiveness of talent development.

Multicultural integration and future pathways: an analysis of Chinese language education policies and practices in Philippine public secondary schools

ABSTRACT This paper examines the integration of Chinese language education within the Philippine public secondary school system, highlighting its role in promoting multicultural understanding and enhancing global competitiveness. Through a mixed-methods approach, involving surveys and interviews with educators, and administrators across a representative sample of schools, the study explores the current state of Chinese language policies as part of the SPFL (Special Program in Foreign Languages) foreign language education, curriculum designs, personnel training, community engagement, and resource allocation. The findings reveal several challenges, including limited instructional time, inadequate teacher training, scarce teaching resources, and a nascent stage of digital resource development. The study also delves into the societal and educational aspirations driving the demand for Chinese language education, against the backdrop of the Philippines' broader goals for national talent development and cultural integration. Recommendations are proposed to address the identified gaps, emphasizing the need for curriculum standards that more closely integrate language with multicultural activities, enhanced teacher support, community-based language activities, a multidimensional approach to language proficiency evaluation and leveraging digital education, etc., The paper advocates for an expanded notion of communicative competence that encompasses the ability for cultural exchange and digital literacy.

Influence of Talent Management and Organisational Performance on Employee Retention among First Bank Employees in Osogbo, Osun State

Background: This study investigated the influence of talent management and organisational performance on Employee Retention in First Bank Plc, Osun State, Nigeria. Objectives: The study was meant to achieve the following objectives: assess the influence of talent management on employee retention among employees of First Bank Plc, Osun State, Nigeria; determine the influence of organisational performance on employee retention among employees; assess the influence of talent planning on employee retention among employees; investigate the influence of workplace culture on employee retention among employees; assess the influence of talent recruitment and retention on employee retention among employees; determine the influence of talent development on employee retention among employees; investigate the influence of talent development on employee retention among employees; determine the influence of professional advancement and rewarding the employees on employee retention. Methods: The study was a survey in which an Ex-post facto design was employed. A total of 100 bank employees took part in the study. A questionnaire format was used to collect data in the study. Collected data were subjected to both Descriptive and Inferential statistics, with the adoption of Statistical Package for Social Sciences. Results: The results revealed there was a significant influence of talent management on employee retention in First Bank Plc [t(98)=6.73, p&lt;.01]; there was a significant influence of organisational performance on employee retention in First Bank Plc [t(98)=8.65, p&lt;.01]; there was a significant influence of talent planning on employee retention in First Bank Plc [t (98)=4.15, p&lt;.01]; there was a significant influence of workplace culture on employee retention in First Bank Plc [t(98)=3.74, p&lt;.01]; there was a significant influence of talent recruitment on employee retention in First Bank Plc [t (98) =3.75, p&lt;.01]; there was a significant influence of talent development on employee retention in First Bank Plc [t (98) =8.87, p&lt;.01]. Conclusion: Hence, it is concluded that talent management and organisational performance significantly influence employee retention. It was recommended that management teams of Banks ensure that outstanding performance is awarded in the organisations, and employee participation and engagement should be emphasised for talent management to be successfully implemented.
