IMPLEMENTASI METODE GALLERY WALK TERHADAP MINAT DAN KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF SISWA PADA MATERI VIRUS

The low student learning outcomes and interest in learning biology are caused by several factors, one of which is the lack of use of learning methods that can make students active. One way to overcome these problems is through the use of gallery walk learning methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the gallery walk method on viral material on cognitive abilities and learning interests of students at SMA Negeri 1 Losarang Indramayu. This study uses True Experimental Design with Posttest-Only Control Design. The results of data analysis showed that the gallery walk learning method affected the cognitive abilities of students on virus material. Analysis of student learning interest data on virus material is in the very high category

ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF PESERTA DIDIK DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL MOMENTUM DAN IMPULS

This research aims to examine students’ cognitive abilities in completing physics problem about momentum and impulses at SMA Kristen Immanuel Pontianak. The research uses survey method, by giving test that consists of 11th grader (53 male; 69 female). According to the result, it was found that the total average percentage of students’ cognitive abilities in general (C1-C4) was 69% and was categorized as medium. The highest average percentage of student cognitive ability was in the domain remembering (C1) with the percentage of 90% (high) and the lowest was in the domain of analyzing with the percentage of 53% (low). Furthermore, there was difference in students’ cognitive ability based on gender in domain of remembering (C1), that was recognized from the result of Mann-Whitney statistical test (0.004<0.05), which showed that significance value was below the probability value. This research is expected to be a guide and reference in developing learning strategies in physics problem to improve students’ cognitive abilities.Keywords: Analysis, Cognitive, Momentum and Impulses, Gender

Everyone is a Teacher Here Method towards Student Learning Outcomes on Kingdom Animalia Topic

This study aims to improve learning outcomes of students' cognitive abilities in the kingdom animalia concept. The subjects of this study were students of SMAN 1 Surade in class X-5 and X-3 with a total of 41 and 36 people. The research method used in this study is Quasi Experimental Design with Pretest-Posttest control group design research design. The instrument used was question of cognitive ability in the form of multiple choice as the main data source and a questionnaire as supporting data. The cognitive abilities netted from the instruments are C1 (knowing), C2 (interpreting), C3 (sorting) and C4 (interpreting). The results of the study show that the cognitive abilities of students after following Learning Everyone is a Teacher Here has increased from the average value of grades the initial test 62.19 increased to 78.79. Based on testing the hypothesis at the final test, the calculated t value of 262.9 is greater than the t table value of 244. This shows that the learning outcomes achieved there were no significant differences. Students respond towards Learning Everyone is a teacher here on each statement interpreted pretty well on average.

ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF PADA LANGKAH-LANGKAH PEMECAHAN MASALAH DITINJAU DARI KECERDASAN LOGIS-MATEMATIS

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis kemampuan kognitif siswa pada langkah-langkah pemecahan masalah ditinjau dari kecerdasan logis-matematis pada materi Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian diambil dari populasi kelas VIII di SMP Khalifah Boarding School. Tahap pertama penelitian ini adalah pengambilan data yang dilakukan sebanyak dua kali, yaitu menggunakan instrumen angket kecerdasan logis-matematis yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pemetaan kecerdasan logis-matematis siswa yang nantinya akan dipilih tiga orang sebagai subjek penelitian dengan tingkatan kecerdasan logis-matematis yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) siswa yang memiliki kecerdasan logis-matematis tinggi memiliki kemampuan kognitif yang baik pada tingkatan mengingat, memahami, menerapkan, menganalisis, dan mengevaluasi. (2) Siswa dengan tingkat kecerdasan logis matematis sedang tidak bisa dikatakan memiliki kemampuan kognitif yang cukup, bahkan masih terbilang rendah, karena siswa tersebut masih belum dikatakan baik pada kemampuan kognitif menerapkan. Hal ini dikarenakan siswa tidak bisa menerapkan konsep atau rumus yang diingat dengan baik sehingga nilai yang didapatkan tidak tepat. (3) Siswa dengan tingkat kecerdasan logis matematis rendah memiliki kemampuan kognitif yang rendah. Hal ini dikarenakan siswa tersebut tidak sampai pada tahap memahami. (4) Kecerdasan logis-matematis tidak berbanding lurus dengan kemampuan kognitif. (5) Faktor penyebab rendahnya kemampuan kognitif siswa adalah sebagai berikut: (a) Kurangnya pemahaman tentang materi yang diterapkan pada tes, (b) Lemahnya keterampilan dalam memperoleh informasi dari soal, (c) Kurang teliti dalam pemecahan masalah, (d) Pesimis dan kurang percaya diri.

KORELASI ANTARA HASIL BELAJAR DAN METAKOGNISI SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR DI NANGA PINOH, KALIMANTAN BARAT

The low student learning outcomes are caused by various aspects, one of them is student awareness of the importance of learning. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between students' science learning outcomes and metacognitive skills in elementary school students in Nanga Pinoh. This research is a quantitative study using One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Data was taken from 67 students in 3 State Elementary Schools, namely SDN 28, SDN 06, and SDN 03 Nanga Pinoh. The instruments used were test questions and the Metacognitive Skills Questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of data analysis using Pearson Product Moment Correlation shows that there is a significant positive relationship between student academic procrastination and student cognitive ability with the acquisition (rcount) = 0.993 at the significance level of 0.00. This means that the higher the level of metacognitive skills of students, the student learning outcomes will also increase. The coefficient of determination shows 0.98 or 98%, this means that student learning outcomes are determined by the level of metacognitive skills of students, while 2 % of student learning outcomes are determined by other factors such as health, the presence or absence of problems and others

MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MINDS-ON DAN HANDS-ON SISWA MATERI BANGUN DATAR DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE TALKING STICK

Learning materials in two-dimentional figure in class II at MI Sunan Giri Merjosari Malang there are several problems namely students tend to be passive and the learning atmosphere is less pleasant because the teacher is more dominant using the lecture method so that the impact on student learning outcomes is less than the specified KKM 75 amounting to 60% of the 20 overall total students. One of the ways to improve the quality of student learning is to apply learning methods that later learning objectives can also be maximally achieved. Very diverse learning methods adapted to the material and objectives to be achieved include talking stick method including one of the learning methods carried out with the help of a stick and in turn will be held by students and who hold the mandatory answer questions from the teacher. Learning with the talking stick method is very suitable to be applied in elementary, because it can train students cognitive and psychomotor abilities, besides that the learning atmosphere is also fun and active students. This talking stick method is very appropriate to be used in the development of students' minds-on and hands-on. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the talking stick method and the improvement of the minds-on and hands-on abilities of students in the Flat Build Class II MI Sunan Giri Merjosari Lamongan after using the talking stick method. Researchers conducted using a qualitative approach to the type of classroom action research (CAR). Analysis of the data used is descriptive qualitative techniques. The sequence of research activities includes 4 stages including: (1) Planning, (2) Implementation, (3) Observation, and (4) Reflection. The results of the study obtained the results of the assessment of learning outcomes of the two-dimentional figure material both cycle I and cycle II of Minds-on ability in cycle I amounted to 82.25 compared to the value of Minds-on in cycle II amounted to 85.5 an increase of 3.25. Likewise with the Hans-On ability assessment there was also an increase between Cycle I an average value of 75.45 and a second cycle of 80.95 an increase of 5.5. Based on the results of the analysis of the research data it can be concluded that the use of the talking stick method can improve the minds-on and hands-on abilities of thematic learning in Class II theme 4 Flat Build Material and its properties in MI Sunan Giri Merjosari Malang and its implementation can run effectively and efficient.

Peningkatan Higher Order Thinking Skill dan Kemampuan Kognitif pada Mahasiswa melalui Pendekatan Science, Environment, Technology and Society Berbantuan Modul Pembelajaran

The background is the Higher order thinking skills of students that have not been developed to the maximum, the learning approaches used have not varied, and the lack of learning media. The cognitive abilities of students are also not yet developed. This study aims to: (1) Improve Higher Order Thinking Skills of Science Education students, (2) Increase Student Cognitive Ability. The research method used was Classroom Action Research with the Kurt Lewin model and the Collaborative Model with more than one cycle. Every cycle there are stages that must be passed systematically, namely the preparation phase, the implementation phase, observation, evaluation, and reflection. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative techniques. The results of this study concluded that the HOTS of Science Education students in a fluid course increased with the module-assisted SETS approach with the results of the first cycle with an increase of 46% of the target, and the second cycle increased by 65% of the target. Fluid cognitive abilities can be improved through the application of the module-assisted SETS learning approach with a cognitive increase of 72%.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Jigsaw Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Otomatisasi Tata Kelola Kepegawaian Kelas XI OTKP di SMKN 1 Surabaya

AbstractThis study aims to determine the influence of Jigsaw learning to students learning outcomes on the subjects of the governance Automation class XI OTKP at SMKN 1 Surabaya. This type of research is experimental research by using the research design of quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. This study was conducted on students of XI OTKP 1 class as an experimental class and a grade XI class students. This research instrument uses a double-choice test to measure students cognitive abilities. Then, the data obtained analyzed test-t with independent test sample test, test-t, and score gain. The results showed that the Jigsaw learning model had a significant effect on student learning outcomes that could be demonstrated by the acquisition of test-t results with a level of significance 0,000 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that the learning model of Jigsaw has an influence on the outcome of learning outcomes of XI OTKP class in SMKN 1 Surabaya. The experiment class also has higher learning outcomes than the proven control class with an experimental class average value of 82.83 and a control class of 75.06.Keywords: jigsaw learning model; learning outcomes.

Development of Geometry Analysis Using Geogebra Scripting in terms of Student Cognitive Capabilities

Geometry is a part of mathematics related to points, lines, planes, flat buildings, and building spaces. And their thought processes must be discussed by students and mastered for geometry analysis. Students must have good analytical skills dealing with geometric questions based on cognitive abilities, namely understanding, connection, communication, reasoning, critical and creative, each of which has indicators as references using the Geogebra help software by Geogebra Script. The method used is a learning development model, and before using ICT media from 41 students, 85.36% participation in mastering vectors and 78.05% not mastering transformation geometry, and after using the inability of media to connect vectors and convert vectors to 48, 78% and 41.47%. And there was a significant increase before and after using media supported by GeoGebra scripts, namely the average grade from 29.88 to 58.29. Based on these results because there is an increase in the cognitive abilities of students who use Scripting Geogebra, however, there is a need to consider evaluating especially reasoning ability, problem-solving, and critical because the increase is below 50%.

The Implementation of Team Assisted Individualization Learning Model by Blended Learning in Vocational High School

The emergence of the Covid-19 virus in Indonesia has caused in the learning process in schools to be changed into learning at home. The learning process is conducted by distance learning that makes use of technological developments. This study aims to determine the effect of the team assisted individualization (TAI) learning model by blended learning using Schoology on student learning results. This study uses a quantitative approach with a method of quasi-experimental design. Class X of Multimedia students in SMK Negeri 6 Surakarta were selected as the research sample. The experimental group was given a blended learning model using Schoology and team assisted individualization (TAI), and the control class was given a blended learning model using Schoology. The collected data in the form of learning test outcomes were used to find out the student cognitive ability, and observations were used to define the affective and psychomotor ability. The hypothesis t-test used independent-sample assessment with a 0.05 error level, showing the posttest learning results for both classes with a score of 0.002<0.05, which means that there are differences in learning outcomes between the two classes. Moreover, there was an improvement in student learning outcomes with the experiment class, gaining a total score of 0.3125, higher than 0.1354 of the control class.

PROGRAM PEMBIASAAN HARIAN DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER SISWA DITINJAU DARI PERSPEKTIF PSIKOLOGI BELAJAR

This study aims to determine the program of daily habituation activities in shaping the character of students of SMP Negeri 6 Pekalongan City, looking for what characters are to be formed in each daily habituation activity program, and concepts in psychological learning theory in explaining the process of habituation activities in shaping student character. This research is included in the field research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the study of daily habituation programs in SMP Negeri 6 Pekalongan City are scheduled and conditional, namely tadarus and prayers before KBM (religious and disciplinary), duha prayer (religious and responsibility), dzhuhur prayers (religious and responsibility), canteen honesty (honesty), orderly coming and going home (discipline and responsibility), orderly appearance (discipline and responsibility), respectful flags singing the national anthem, and folk songs (love of the motherland and national spirit), group class picket (care about the environment and responsibility), conditioning the cleanliness (care for the environment), separation of organic and non-organic waste (care for the environment and responsibility). From the daily habituation program can be explained psychological approach, especially with learning theories, including (1) changes in student behavior with habituation activities and carried out repeatedly will be a reinforcer in student behavior in addition to reward and punishment as a reminder process for students, (2 ) students' self-awareness in behaving because of changes in student behavior needs to be seen from the cognitive development of students. Some students are still in the level of concrete operations and most have entered the formal operational stage so students are able to think more mature and able to think logically and logically. In addition, changes in student behavior are formed due to the process of imitation and demonstration from teachers in particular, and friends at school in general. So the role of the teacher, the school environment and the cognitive abilities of students is an important key in shaping behavior.

Student characteristics affecting the recognition of high cognitive ability by teachers and peers

Accurate teacher judgments of student cognitive ability are crucial to effective instruction. Building on a large survey among 7th graders and their teachers, this study considers which student characteristics affect teacher and peer recognition of high ability students. High ability judgments by teachers were found to depend more on everyday school achievement (GPA) than on cognitive ability (IQ) itself, even when teachers were urged to distinguish between achievement and ability. Girls were less likely to be perceived as highly able than boys with similar levels of ability. Parental educational level affected high ability judgment, but only through its relation with school achievement. Both the most engaged and the most bored students were more frequently selected as highly able students. Similarly, peer judgments of highly able classmates depended, net of cognitive ability, on everyday school achievement, perceived engagement and disengagement, and gender, with girls being less likely to be judged as highly able.

Использование игровых технологий в педагогических практиках музея и школы

The article deals with the analysis of games and game technology in teaching history. The author defines the definition of the game, the principles and functions of the game activity and reveals its pedagogical nature. Game technology both in school and in a modern museum is implemented in two types of cognitive activity: educational and extracurricular (leisure). The article considers the features of the organization of game classes on history in school and museum educational practice. In the context of identifying the common game basis and the specifics of the two spaces, the author draws attention to the theoretical aspects of the problem, and also gives the most striking examples of the organization of history classes using game technologies. The article contains various approaches to the classification of games, an author’s view on the ranking of game classes, analyzes the influence of various types of games on the content of historical education, the cognitive abilities of students, a modern lesson and learning outcomes. The author also cites possible risks of the teacher when organizing game classes.

Assessment of the pedagogical and psychological criteria for aesthetic education of middle and high school students

The purpose of the present study is to test and determine the effectiveness of the unique method for quantifying the aesthetic and psychological criteria of aesthetic education of middle and senior school-age students. This method allows conducting a group study on the criteria of aesthetic education of students for a limited time (one academic hour). The results allow performing a comparative analysis of the level of aesthetic education of individual students on certain criteria of aesthetic education in general (as well as on the components of these criteria), and conducting a comparative analysis of the aesthetic education between individual groups. The method is based on the use of some already known technics of psychological diagnosis of teenagers and young persons, developed by R.S. Nemov, as well as methods for researching the activity of thinking by I.M. Lushikhina. The new interpretive schemes of well-known methods proposed by the authors allow quantifying not only the cognitive abilities of students, but also assessing the level of development of their visual skills. The latter is particularly important because, when combined with a quantitative assessment of the social criterion of aesthetic upbringing, it provides the most complete picture of the level of aesthetic development of students at a certain period.

The Implementation Of Discovery Learning Model To Improve Students’ Learning Activities and Cognitive Abilities Of SMP Negeri 1 Wakorumba Utara

This study aims to improve student learning activities and cognitive abilities through discovery learning model on the material characteristics and classifications of living creatures in class VII 1 of SMP Negeri 1 Wakorumba Utara. This research was conducted in the 2nd semester of the academic year 2015/2016. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with three learning cycles. Each cycle goes through four stages: (1) planning; (2) implementing actions; (3) observation and (4) reflection. The data source of this study was an assessment using observation sheets of student learning activities, evaluation questions as tests of cognitive abilities and observation sheets of teacher activities in cycle I, cycle II and cycle III. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis. The success of the learning activities of the students in cycle I achieved a mean score of 3.1, cycle II 3.5 and cycle III 3.5. The average achievement of the cognitive abilities of students in the first cycle was 66.36. Cycle II was 79.09 and Cycle III was 78.18. The mean achievement of teacher activity in the first cycle was 3.2, the second cycle was 3.6 and the third cycle was 3.7. Based on the results of the study concluded that the application of discovery learning models can improve learning activities and cognitive abilities of students on the subject matter of the characteristics and classifications of living creatures of class VII1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Wakorumba Utara. Intelligence, Income and Their Relation to Nutrition

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of intelligence and income on nutrition in Brazil, by means of large-scale secondary data. The cognitive abilities of students were used as a measure of intelligence. In order to evaluate the nutritional quality of the population, the state hunger and undernutrition index (SHUI) was created. The intelligence explained 34% of the SHUI variation in the country. The development of the population’s intelligence influences the decrease in the rates of hunger and undernutrition.

The influence of scientific creativity and critical worksheets (SCCW) on creative thinking skills and critical scientific as well as students’ cognitive abilities on project-based learning work and energy concepts

This study describes the influence of scientific creativity and critical worksheet (SCCW) to the creative thinking and scientific critical as well as students’ cognitive ability of Work and Energy concept. The aim of this study was to find out the improvement of cognitive ability, creative thinking skill and critically scientific students with applied model of project-based learning integrated with SCCW and conventional student worksheet (CSW). This study is based on one of the 21st Century Partnership Learning Framework which contains the skills that must be possessed by learners in the 21st century, which is focused on scientific creative thinking skills and critical scientific thinking skills. The research method used is pre-experimental research with randomized control group pretest-postest design. Implementation of SCCW on project-based learning can improve creative thinking skills and critical scientific and cognitive abilities of students with greater improvement than the application of SCW on project-based learning.

The influence of scientific creativity and critical worksheet (SCCW) on project based learning to increase cognitive ability, scientific creative skills and scientific critical skills senior high school students on sound wave problem

The aims of this study to determine the effect of SSCW on project based learning in improving the cognitive abilities, students’ scientific and scientific creative thinking skills on sound wave problem. The research method used is pre-experimental research with randomized control group. The research phase involves preparation, execution, and final stage. At the preparatory stage is a preliminary study, RPP preparation, and instrument validation by 4 expert validators. At the implementation stage is done in one high school in Bandung with pretest, the implementation of learning using project based learning with conventional student worksheet (CSW) and SSCW, then given the final test (posttest). The study participants were 22 students of both control class and experimental class in one of high school in Bandung. The instrument used is the instrument of cognitive ability and scientific thinking as well as scientific critical thinking skills. Implementation of SCCW on project-based learning can improve creative thinking skills and critical scientific and cognitive abilities of students with greater improvement than the application of SCW on project-based learning.

Promoting students self determination theory skill in merills first principle of instruction

The self determination theory is the ability that allows an individual to choose and have several choices to determine an action. The problems experienced by the students related to SDT are the decreasing motivation of students to develop themselves, students are unable to be responsible and not sensitive to the feelings of others. The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in SDT achievement of MPK student self determination theory (high, medium and low). This research method was quasi experiment with Post-test Only Control Design. Subjects in the study were 124 students. The learning process was carried out through Merrill’s First Principles of Instruction and ordinary learning. The results shows that the average achievement of high, medium and low MPK on the self determination skill theory of students who received MFPI learning are better than those who received regular learning. In SDT indicator, autonomy and students relatedness who have high MPK are superior in comparison to medium and low MPK. The low MPK category is better on competence indicators compared to high MPK and medium MPK. MFPI learning should be an alternative learning for teachers in mathematics because in addition to improving student cognitive abilities.

ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KOGNITIF DAN SIKAP SISWA PADA MATERI SISTEM SARAF DI KELAS XI SMA NEGERI 2 PERCUT SEI TUAN

The purpose of this study was to determine the cognitive abilities and attitudes of students in the nervous system material in class XI of SMA Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan Learning Year 2017/2018. The type of research used is descriptive correlational. The population in this study were students of class XI of State Senior High School 2 Percut Sei Tuan 2017/2018 Learning Year totaling 166 people. The sample in this study were 2 classes as many as 84 people in class XI Mia 3 and Mia 4 who were taken by Random sampling. Sources of data from this study are 30 multiple choice tests and 30 question attitude questionnaires. The results showed that the cognitive abilities of students about the nervous system were very good 21.42%, both 51.19%, good enough 13.09%, less good 13.09% and very less 1.09%. The results of the cognitive abilities test of students is good with an average value of 69.87, while the cognitive abilities of students based on indicators on the material of the nervous system (1) 68.45%, (2) 67.52%, (3) 74, 52% good category and (4) 64.28% good enough and the results of the attitude questionnaire showed students' ability both on the indicator received 71.31%, valued 75.49%, organized 71.32%, characteristics 68.92% and sufficient both on the indicator responded to 57.93%. The results of the analysis of testing the hypothesis in this study found that the cognitive abilities and attitudes of students in the nervous system material have a positive and moderate categorical relationship with r count> r table (0.562> 0.214) and t count> t table (6.149> 1.663).Keywords: cognitive ability, attitude, nervous system.
