Construction and variants of the modernization of the condensing hot water boiler

In this article are considered the main problems facing mankind, which are related with production, transformation and use of energy and fuel resources. For purposes of fuel saving and improve environmental safety of the heat supply systems of various consumers the use of decentralized heat supply systems with the installation of a condensing hot water boilers in heat source, is proposed. The substantiation of application of these heat supply systems is made. There are considered appointment, relevance of use, design features and principle of action of the fuel-saving condensing hot water boiler, developed by the employees of the Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov, proposed for installation as a heat generator in the heat sources of autonomous heating systems. There are considered the variants of construction of various units of the proposed boiler and the conditions of use of a particular design variant. Also, the advantages and disadvantages of various versions of the boiler design and its main components were critically evaluated, the comparison was made and the advantages of these or other design variants in front of others for different conditions were indicated.

The studied systems are complex and requires management of large systems and integration of knowledge. Отношение молодежи к проэкологическим практикам раздельного сбора твердых коммунальных отходов

The study discusses the views of young people on the Municipal Solid Waste Separation Program launched in Krasnodar Territory in 2017. Based on statistical methods, the author identifies the possible social and psychological prerequisites and barriers to the implementation of this program. The students of Kuban State Technological University have been questioned. The survey reveals that young people have a positive attitude to the environmental reforms in the public utility sector in general. The lack of confidence of respondents in the feasibility of the program and their reluctance to pay additional charges for the new waste management system are the internal barriers to daily household waste separation. Survey results indicate gender differences in the attitude of young people to the garbage reform in Krasnodar Territory. In particular, more women than men consider the waste separation program in the context of biosphere values and regard it as a preventive measure of environmental disasters in the future.

Mempelajari Tegangan pada Balok dengan Bantuan Software Berbasis Perhitungan Matematis dan Visualisasi 3 Dimensi

Penelitian pada mahasiswa Jurusan Teknik Sipil U.K.Maranatha menunjukkan sebagian besarkecenderungan gaya belajar mahasiswa adalah active–sensing (41,38%) serta visual (68,97%), kondisiini rupanya sejalan dengan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Richard Felder sebagai pengembang ILS(Index Learning Style) terhadap mahasiswa teknik Iowa State University yang menyatakan bahwa63% mahasiswa adalah active learners, 67 % sensing learner dan 85% visual learners, kemudianpenelitian terhadap mahasiswa Michigan Tech. menunjukkan bahwa 56% active leaners, 63% sensingleaners, dan 74% visual leaners. Secara umum hasil penelitian Felder menunjukkan bahwa 64%active leaners, 63% sensing leaners, dan 82% visual leaners. Penemuan ini setidaknya bisa memberigambaran yang cukup umum bahwa mahasiswa teknik memiliki kecenderungan gaya belajar yanghampir sama dibeberapa perguruan tinggi.Mahasiswa dengan gaya belajar active-sensing-visual learners memiliki kecenderungan belajarmelalui metode praktis problem-solving, penggunaan banyak gambar, grafik, sketsa sederhana sertaaktivitas kelompok dimana mereka diberi kesempatan untuk bertukar pikiran dan bereksperimen.Hambatan pemahaman akan materi yang disampaikan terjadi ketika para mahasiswa dengankecenderungan gaya belajar seperti ini menghadapi materi mekanika rekayasa yang sulit untukdibayangkan perilakunya, bahkan untuk materi yang didalamnya terdapat persamaan-persamaanmatematis yang sederhana.Salah satu materi dasar yang diberikan pada matakuliah mekanika bahan adalah tegangan pada balokatau kolom (lentur, aksial, geser, dsb) akibat beban merata, terpusat sentris, terpusat eksentris yangmengakibatkan lentur biaksial, dsb. Penggunaan suatu software komputer berbasis perhitunganmatematis dan mampu memvisualisasikan persamaan-persamaan matematik dalam bentuk grafik baik2D atau 3D seperti MatCad atau MatLab akan sangat membantu mahasiswa memahami konsep danperilaku tegangan pada balok/kolom.Beberapa keuntungan penggunaan alat bantu ini adalah secara umum mahasiswa dapat memahamidasar teori, penurunan rumus, perilaku tegangan pada balok dengan lebih baik. Kedua, mahasiswadapat melihat suatu eksperimen sederhana mengenai perilaku tegangan pada balok dengan visualisasiyang menarik karena kemampuan software ini untuk mengupdate hasil serta tampilan grafiknya secara3 dimensi secara langsung. Ketiga, seluruh proses mulai dari dasar teori, penurunan rumus sertalatihan soal serta visualisasi grafik dapat terdokumentasi dengan baik. Keuntungan-keuntungan diatassangat membantu mahasiswa dengan gaya belajar active-sensing-visual learners yang mayoritasdimiliki oleh mahasiswa teknik sipil untuk memahami pelajaran mekanika bahan.

Социологическая оценка эффективности системы непрерывного образования

Based on the 2015-2018 sociological study conducted as a part of the school-university-company combination, an innovative lifelong learning system designed and implemented at Shukhov Belgorod State Technological University, the author assesses the efficiency of this system. A set of efficiency criteria includes the effectiveness of lifelong learning, satisfaction of trainees, school students’ awareness about the system, their interest in it, professional self-determination, optimal career choice, adaptation, self-fulfillment, self-efficacy, relationship style, psychological climate, prospects. In addition, the research discusses the ways to enhance the effectiveness of the lifelong learning system based on data obtained. It is concluded that the innovative lifelong learning system introduced by Shukhov Belgorod State Technological University is fairly effective and allows one to build a talent pool for high-tech industries.

Влияние импульсного электрического поля на реологию масличного материала

Treatment with pulse electric field is a promising method of preliminary preparation of oil-bearing material before further treatment. Experimental data was obtained in Kuban State Technological University (“Food and Chemical Technologies Research Center”) (Krasnodar). The author studied oil-bearing material rheological properties and assessed the influence of preliminary treatment with pulse electric field. Using mathematical tools and an experiment the author found out that plastic viscosity of pulp corresponds to oil viscosity which confirms the assumption about Bingham rheology made in the paper. Experimental works have shown that there is structure formation in the material that enters conveyor auger feeder. The author determined that there is an effect after treatment with pulse electric field as the structure of the material changed and critical shear stress decreased from 24.36 to 22.89 Pa for the samples which were treated with field having field intensity E = 8 kV/cm and number of pulses n = 300 during three seconds. Critical shear stress decrease due to the treatment with pulse electric field allows to use less energy for oil-bearing material transportation and crushing in case of pressing process. That factor is a positive complement to the existing effect of oil yield increase after preliminary preparation. The obtained parameters of the engineering model make it possible to forecast rheology of viscoplastic flow in wide range of shear strain rates in conveyor auger feeder as well as during treatment with pulse electric field.

Effect of Lifestyle, Quality Products, Price, and Halal Labelling to Buying Decisions

This research was conducted in Indonesia with samples from the University of Jakarta. Data analysis was performed using SEM since the goal of this study was to test the theory, the technique SEM analysis conducted is based (Covariance-based SEM), the SEM approach that uses tools PLS. Tools that are used to perform analysis with the PLS approach in this study is SmartPLS 3.0. The data used are primary data for the independent variables (Lifestyle, Product Quality, Price, and labelling Halal) and Y (Decision Purchase) to see whether or not the influence of variables X (Lifestyle, Product Quality, Price, and labelling of Halal) to variable Y (Purchase Decision). This study aims to determine the effect of Lifestyle, Product Quality, Price, and Halal labelling of the Purchase Decision on vending machine BlueMart Jakarta State University. The population in this study are all users in the region the BlueMart Engineering State University of Jakarta. The data used are primary data collection method of data using questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple regression with moderating variables. The results show that: 1) product attributes a significant direct effect on purchasing decisions. 2) The halal label can strengthen a direct relationship between product attributes influence on purchase decisions. Kako motivacija za postignuće utiče na odnos učenika i studenata prema samostalnom bavljenju sportskom aktivnošću

Purpose: to determine the relationship between achievement motivation and the attitudes of schoolchildren of 11-17 years old and students of 18-21 years old to independent sports and passing control standards in the discipline \"Physical Education\". Material: 1576 schoolchildren (boys n = 780 and girls n = 796) of comprehensive schools of Belgorod, Stary Oskol, Stroitel and Shebekino (Belgorod region, Russian Federation) and 246 students (men n = 127) were surveyed. and women n = 119) Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov (Belgorod, Russian Federation). The questionnaire consisted of three blocks of questions: the 1st block of questions - questions aimed at determining the age, sex, place of study of the respondent; 2nd block of questions - 8 questions, allowing to assess the attitude of the respondent to independent sports activities and the desire to take control standards of the discipline \"Physical Education\"; 3rd block of questions is a test of 20 questions, developed by A.A. Rean, to assess the motivation to achieve success and avoid failures. Results: the motivation for avoiding failures was diagnosed in 5% male students and 10% female students. A direct correlation between achievement motivation and the attitude of schoolchildren and students towards independent sports activities and passing control standards has been revealed. Conclusions: there are no differences in the correlation between the relationship between achievement motivation and attitudes toward independent sports by gender. Schoolchildren and students with motivation to achieve regular self-exercise. Schoolchildren and students with a pronounced motivation for avoiding failures prefer a passive way of life. They do not want to pass standards on the discipline \"Physical Education\" and do not go in for sports on their own.

A Pilot Study of Post Combustion Carbon Capture & Sequestration Pilot Plant Aimed at Feasibility Analysis of Installation of a Carbon Capture, Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS) Plant on a Large Thermal Unit in India

CO2 Capture, Sequestration and Production of Multi-purpose fuels – Hydrogen, Methane and Biodiesel through Algae route through Post combustion CCS on a fossil fuel fired Plant has been successfully demonstrated at the DST sponsored CO2 sequestration Pilot Plant at the State Technological University of MP, the ‘RGPV’ at Bhopal in Central India. A CO2 Capture efficiency of over 93% has been achieved using MEA solvent of 18 % concentration and the required heat for stripping captured CO2 in the regeneration tower has been worked out at the level of 3.88 MJ per kg of recovered carbon dioxide, which is provided by the low pressure steam of about 150°C and 2 bar pressure @ 1.5-1.6 tons of steam per ton of CO2. Exergy analysis was carried out to optimize this regeneration energy requirement with multiple fuels including bituminous coal, fuel oil and also bio-mass aiming towards negative emission strategy. Production of multipurpose fuels like hydrogen and bio-diesel have been demonstrated in the pilot plant through lignite gasifier via CO and Algae routes respectively. Hydrogen to the tune of 21.92% by volume has been produced, while selected species of Algae grown in open pond with CO2 and Solar flux input provided Algal oil by using Soxhlet extraction process using petroleum ether. Parallel efforts are made in a Solar Thermal Pilot Unit, a MNRE sponsored project, in collaboration with Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), NY, USA at the State Private University, RKDF in near vicinity of RGPV’s CCS pilot plant under joint collaboration. Based on above two pilot studies a feasibility analysis is carried out for installation of Carbon Capture, Utilization & Storage plant on a 500 MW Anpara Thermal Power Plant in Northern Coal Fields of India. The Feasibility Study has revealed that it is possible to implement Carbon Utilization by growing selected species of Algae culture in the Ash pond of the plant for almost doubling the Algae growth for bio-diesel production. The feasibility analysis has further revealed that energy penalty for a 30% CO2 capture for a 500 MW Unit would be around 25% including 10% for compression and pumping in an Enhanced Coal Bed Methane (ECBM) technique in proximity to the CO2 source. In any case, the energy penalty in Indian context, when our power planners are targeting at no-storage options for CCS like Carbon sequestration for conversion to multi-purpose fuels rather than CO2 storage, the energy penalty still remains at level of 15-20%. This can be further reduced to a level of 5-10 % if solar thermal device is used for production of steam for solvent regeneration and stripping of CO2. A specially designed Alkali Halide Salt developed by RPI, USA is used as 24x7 heat storage- materials in the pilot plant and the same is integrated with the CCS pilot plant for solvent regeneration and stripping of CO2. Test results of Solar Thermal pilot plant for Steam production with thermal storage, using solid pathway is given which may pave way for development of the technology of Post Combustion Carbon Capture with least energy penalty in regeneration of solvents used in the CCS process.

Durability of cutter assemblies and its causative factors

Cutter assemblies operate under stressful conditions: the knives are subjected to high dynamic loads, the cutter shaft rotates at a frequency of 5–100 s-1, the electric driving motor of the cutter shaft overcomes high starting moments, the bed is subjected to significant static and dynamic loads, the food raw materials and humid atmospheric air in the production room is corrosive to the structural elements, etc. Under the influence of these factors, the cutter assemblies break down, which causes unregulated pauses in food raw materials processing and also requires high expenses for equipment repair. The aim of the paper was to study the durability of the main cutter assemblies and to establish its main determining factors. The presented numerical values of durability of cutter assemblies have been obtained as a result of the planned, warranty and post-warranty practical maintenance of cutters by the engineering team of GEA FOOD SOLUTIONS UKRAINE, LLC, the mechanical supervisor staff of Cherkassk Food Company, LLC and also as a result of scientific research of the processes that provide the operation of these machines and that were carried out at the Cherkassy State Technological University (the Ukraine). The components that operate under the most stressful conditions are knives, a cutter shaft and its bearing assemblies, and the electric driving motor of the cutter shaft. At the same time, the durability of most cutter assemblies is limited by the quality of operation of the cutter head and the durability of the knives. The expenses for the repair or replacement of cutter assemblies can amount to tens of thousands of euros (not including the losses caused by equipment downtime). By applying the appropriate technical solutions and cutter system operating rules, it is possible to significantly improve the durability of a cutter and reduce these expenses.

The correlation of parameters and characteristics of the axial two-input electric machine-generator

The article considers axial two-input contactless electric machine-generator designed for simultaneous conversion of solar energy (using a photoelectric converter) and wind into electrical energy that meets consumer properties. The work is performed within the framework of the research at federal state budgetary educational institution of higher education “Kuban State Technological University” on the theme of renewable energy sources under the supervision of the Honored worker of science and technology of the Russian Federation Professor B. Kh. Gaytov. The aim of this paper is to study the relationship between parameters and characteristics of axial two-input contactless electric machine-generator. The results of this study show characteristics taking into account the relationship of output parameters of the axial two-input contactless electric machine-generator with parameters of winding of the machine’s main components.

Adsorption Activity of Thermally Modified Shell Hazelnut in Relation to Ions Ni<sup>2+</sup>

The aim of this work is to establish the specific features of the adsorption capacity of thermally modified hazelnut shells with respect to Ni2+ ions at different temperatures. Titrimetric, spectrophotometric, atomic-adsorption methods of investigation, optical microscopy, X-ray analysis were used in the work. It is established that the sorption process is endothermic; the time for achieving sorption equilibrium reaches 40 minutes. The article may be of interest to specialists in the field of obtaining new adsorbents using vegetable production waste. The article was prepared within development program of the Flagship Regional University on the basis of Belgorod State Technological University named after V.G. Shukhov, using equipment of High Technology Center at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov.

FEATURES OF THE STRUCTURE OF NEW GENERATION CONCRETE WITH THE USAGE OF ARTIFICIALLY-PRODUCED MATERIALS

Introduction. The important national economic task is to provide the modern construction industry with high-strength and effective materials made using new technological approaches and artificiallyproduced materials. These materials differ from the usual one by high content of cement stone, smaller grain size, multicomponent composition, increased specific surface of the filler. Therefore, the research of such problem would be always relevant according to the constant growth of requirements for the building materials and structures quality.Materials and methods. Experimental studies were conducted in the laboratories of the Department of Construction Materials, Products and Structures. The literary sources’ analysis was made in the scientific and technical library of the Belgorod State Technological University named after V. G. Shukhov. At the same time, standard test procedures and the provisions of the operating instructions for individual devices and equipment were used in the research.Discussion and conclusions. As a result, the models of structure formation in high-strength hardening compositions, in which the principle of structure optimization consisting in creation of the high degree ordering of its constituent elements and tumors, as well as in increasing the adhesion of cement stone particles, are implemented. In addition, the usage of artificially-produced materials and organic additives produces the possibility of reducing the consumption of raw materials and consumption of energy and resources. The mechanism and principles of structure formation management are intensively studied and would be explained later on the basis of synergetic concepts.

Ensuring the shear resistance of asphalt mixtures in the pavement of highways

Studying the state of the issue on the shear resistance of asphalt concrete mixtures in the pavement, the authors reviewed the currently available technical reference literature. The state of the streets of the city of Bryansk and the highways of the Bryansk region by measuring the depth of the tracks and flows was also examined. The asphalt concrete samples were tested in laboratory conditions taking into account the rate of deformation, temperature and stress-strain state using the device manufactured at the Department of «Highways» of the Bryansk state engineering and technological University. As additives in asphalt concrete mix introduced: rubber crumb from used car tyres, wheels automobiles, carbon black (powder form) and definiltely thermoplastics. The conducted researches on samples of asphalt concrete mix with use of divinyl-styrene thermoplastics (DST) showed that at increase in the polymer content from 2 to 5 % there was some increase in durability of asphalt concrete on tension in 1,06…1,16 times at 0 °C (smaller value corresponds to the smaller number of DST). Compressive strength at a temperature of «plus» 50 °C increased by 1.04…1.08 times and the module of residual deformation at «plus» 50 °C increased by 1.18…1.23 times. In General, with an increase in the content of DST from 2 to 5 %, the shear resistance increased almost 1.27 times (with the introduction of 5 % DST over the mass of bitumen). The conducted research allows to conclude that to reduce the impact of shear stresses in asphalt concrete mixtures it is necessary to introduce modifying additives, the properties of asphalt concrete depend on the presence of additives, as well as on the quality of the stone aggregate, bitumen and other materials. With the introduction of certain additives (DST, carbon black, rubber c hips), the shear resistance of asphalt concrete increases.

ИННОВАЦИОННАЯ СОСТАВЛЯЮЩАЯ В СТРАТЕГИЧЕСКОМ РАЗВИТИИ ВУЗОВ РФ

The article analyzes the issues of introduction of innovative component in the work of Russian universities. The concept of "innovation in education" is studied, so there is no consensus on this issue among scientists. The article analyzes several approaches to this concept. It is noted that the main strategic objective of the innovative approach in higher education, in addition to direct training, is to acquire practical skills from students through the mandatory use in the educational process of industrial practices in modern enterprises, as well as participation in the scientific process of universities, including writing articles. A generalized model of innovation process in universities is proposed, which can be transformed for each specific University if necessary. The models of transformation of Russian universities into educational, scientific and innovative University complexes (UNIC) are also analyzed. The model of innovative University and stages of introduction of innovations in education are considered. An example of two universities is given: St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and Volga state technological University, which initiated the introduction of an innovative component in education. Conclusions are drawn about the need to competently and consistently implement innovative components in higher education using the processes of digitalization.

Особливості росту сосни кедрової сибірської різного географічного походження у культурах 17-46-річного віку

Охарактеризовано особливості інтенсивності росту сосни кедрової сибірської 17-46-річного віку в загущених посадках залежно від місця збору насіння. Дослідження проведено у Караульному дільничному лісництві Навчально-дослідного лісгоспу Сибірського державного технічного університету (зелена зона м. Красноярська), 56°00` пн.ш., 92°30` сх.д., висота над рівнем моря становить 300 м. Дослідну ділянку створено садінням шестирічних сіянців за схемою 2 х 1 м. Сіянці вирощено з насіння, зібраного в популяціях Алтаю, Хакасії, Красноярського краю, Іркутської і Читинської областей. Середня висота дерев у 17-річному біологічному віці становила 2,2 м, у 28-річному – 7,1 м, у 46-річному – 15,9 м. Встановлено, що лідерські позиції за висотою і діаметром стовбура дерев змінюються залежно від віку. Так, 17-річні деревні рослини відрізнялися найбільшими показниками в шуміхінскому (місцевому) і північно-єнісейському варіантах. Дерева 28-46-річного віку мали перевищення за висотою та діаметром стовбура в шуміхінскому, алтайському, черемхівському, читинському варіантах (висота над рівнем моря становить 500-1000 м, пн.ш. – від 50°22` до 56°00`, сх.д. – 86°54`-108°43`). Відношення висоти дерева до діаметра стовбура змінювалося від 0,83 у 17-річному віці до 1,16 – у 46-річному. Відзначено збільшення співвідношення між висотою дерева і діаметром стовбура з віком, що свідчить про підвищену конкуренцію дерев. Кореляція між висотою, діаметром стовбура насіннєвого потомства і показниками материнських популяцій в перші роки вирощування відсутня; у 46-річному віці тіснота зв’язку між висотою, діаметром дерев і класом бонітету материнських популяцій помірна. До 46-річного віку в дослідних посадках відбувався природний відбір і збережені екземпляри, незалежно від географічного походження, відрізнялися кращими біометричними показниками. Проведено відбір кращих дерев для вирощування селекційного садивного матеріалу.
 До групи швидкорослих віднесено дерева читинського, алтайського, черемхівського і шумихінського походжень. Відсталі в рості дерева представляють північно-єнісейське, слюдянське і сонське походження. Відмінності підтверджуються показником достовірності (tф > t05).

Graphic image of high quality wines

The objects of the research were samples of high quality wines of various types produced by the enterprises of the Krasnodar Territory, the Rostov Region and foreign producers of different grape varieties. The method of automatic titration of acids in wines was applied by coulometric generation of the base with the recording of the results of potentiometric indication on the computer. The influence of the grape variety and the duration of aging of table wine on the appearance of the titration curves was carried out using 77 technical grades and clones of grapes (44 red grapes and 33 white grapes) from the Anapsko-Tamanskaya zone of the Krasnodar Territory from 2001 to 2016. Grapes of the studied varieties were processed under the micro nodulation conditions according to two schemes. Dry table red wines were obtained by fermentation on the mash. Dry table white wines were produced using the high quality low-oxidized wines. The experimental studies confirming the individuality of the titration curves and the absorption spectra of wine samples for specific brands have been carried out. The principal possibility was shown of using the coordinates of the titration curve of a wine sample for establishing a relationship with the grape variety and the authenticity of the production of wines with the protected geographical indication and appellation of origin. To confirm the authenticity of the wine products, it was suggested to compare the data matrix with the coordinates describing the average titration curve of a specific wine product obtained by the manufacturer with a similar matrix obtained by the controlling party under the reproducibility conditions. When the appearance of the titration curves of red wines obtained from different grape varieties was identical, it was suggested to additionally apply a matrix of data describing the absorption spectrum in the visible region. The objectives of the research project (2015-2017) included analyzing professional engineering dynasties as a resource for its members’ social mobility and the prospects of the entire group. Students at technical institutes and universities were the object of study for this proj ect — that part which this article is dedicated to. The study was organized in December 2015 in 2 regions (Moscow, Samara). Universities which include specializations such as training engineers in different fields were selected for survey — Moscow Aviation Institute, Moscow state University ofmechanical engineering, Russian state technological University named after K.E. Tsiolkovsky, Moscow Polytechnic University, Samara state technical University. 290 students’ questionnaires were selected for analysis. The article considers the influence of a student belonging to an engineering dynasty on their choice of profession after graduating from an engineering university. Belonging to dynasties is also considered in comparison to other factors that may affect the professional career of students. Despite the fact that the family ceases to be the leading institution for the formation, preservation and transfer of professional roles, its current importance to an employee and to professional groups should not be underestimated. This article shows that professional and career advancement is facilitated by all resources that an employee can accumulate — social capital ofthe family, gender aspects of professional culture and accumulated competencies. It is clear that dynasties cannot and should not be the only resource for forming such a statistically vast professional group as engineers, which also bears such importance for the economy. The degree of open access to a certain profession is important, at least in terms of equality of opportunity for including the most promising “newcomers”. The article presents the following conclusions on the importance of engineering dynasties for the development of the engineer profession and the labor market. Dynasties are a serious personnel reserve for a profession and a resource for maintaining high standards of corporate culture. Meanwhile a profession’s prestige, as well as interest towards engineering activity and entrepreneurship, bear great significant for all students. The payback received by professional dynasties is also important. Accumulated social capital gives some freedom to an engineer as an employee in the labor market, and the inability for “newcomers” to use the family resource creates a demand for stability and social guarantees in labor relations with the employer.
