Готовность будущих учителей к работе в технопарке универсальных педагогических компетенций

<p style="text-align: justify;">The article considers the problem of future teachers’ readiness to work in the technopark of universal pedagogical competencies. The professional standard of a teacher, the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education is analyzed and the requirements for the activity of a physics teacher organizing the educational process in a technopark are highlighted. The article analyzes the importance and readiness of future teachers to organize the educational process when teaching physics by means of the technopark. The obtained results of experimental work based on the technopark of universal pedagogical competencies of the South Ural State Humanitarian and Pedagogical University among undergraduate students in the field of training “Pedagogical education” profile “Physics. Mathematics” and “Technology. Additional education” when introducing practice-oriented tasks. As a result of work in the conditions of the technopark, difficulties are highlighted, recommendations are given and a general conclusion is made about the readiness of students of a pedagogical university and future teachers to work in the technopark of universal pedagogical competencies.</p>

Improving the complex therapy of dysphonia in respiratory infections and SARS-COV-2

Significantly aggravating the clinical course and negatively affecting the quality of life of patients, voice disorders in acute respiratory viral infection (ARVI) and SARS-CoV-2 require correction of treatment. Aim. To determine the effectiveness of Homeovox® in the complex therapy of dysfunctions in patients with respiratory infections and SARS-CoV-2 Materials and methods. The clinical study was conducted by a single-stage observational method, without intervention, at the clinical base of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of the South Ural State Medical University in the period 2022–2023. The results of a study of 45 patients who suffered from acute respiratory and coronavirus infection SARS-CoV-2, accompanied by dysphonia, are presented. Results. There was a significant difference in the results of conservative treatment of patients previously divided into 2 groups according to the study design. Thus, in the second group (n=22), in addition to medical and economic standards, who received a multicomponent homeopathic medicine in accordance with the instructions, earlier recovery periods and statistically reliable restoration of vocal function were established until complete restoration of vocal function. Standard medical and economical therapy of patients of the first (n=23) and second groups included: administration of antiviral and antihistamines, local decongestants, irrigation therapy, symptomatic treatment. Conclusion. The assessment of dysphonia on three scales: the VASH scale, the Wilson Yanagihara scale and the GRBAS classification of voice disorders confirmed the restoration of voice function and recovery at an earlier date in patients who additionally took a homeopathic drug

Copper for the early oxhide ingots traced to the South Urals

Oxhide ingots are flat, rectangular slabs of metal, most commonly of copper, with protruding corners of varying styles. These Late Bronze Age artifacts were widespread across the Mediterranean for approximately half a millennium between the 16th and 11th centuries BC. Although they are generally known as essentially a Cypriot “commodity brand” by the late 15th century BCE, the origin of this ingot’s distinct shape has remained unknown. With the expansion of the lead-isotope database of Eurasian copper ores, the origin of the oldest chemically characterized oxide ingots may now be defined. The bimodal lead isotope compositions of 15 early, pillow-shaped oxhide ingots excavated in Crete are consistent with those of copper ores from the Southern Urals, which are known to have been actively mined in the Bronze Age. Together, Pb isotope and trace element compositions indicate that the majority of the ingots were cast from copper derived from Ural-type Cu-Zn volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits. However, two ingots enriched in Ni, As, and Co match Main Ural Fault-type ores that are hosted by ultramafic rocks.The characteristic design of the pillow-shaped ingot was likely related to the particulars of overland transport, facilitating their long-distance conveyance on pack animals. There is further support of a non-Cypriot origin of this form in the possible association between the words for “ingot”, “copper” and “hide” across languages of Western Asia and the Mediterranean. Thus, an eastern origin of the oxhide form for ingots is likely.

Melatonin Level and Activity of Nucleolar Organizer Regions in the Prognosis of Infertility in Women with Ovarian Endometriosis

Introduction. Endometriosis is a multifactorial disease, affecting about 10 % of women of reproductive age. The purpose of the work is predicting the development of infertility in women with ovarian endometriosis by determining urine melatonin levels and activity indicators of nucleolar organizer regions in endometrioid ovarian heterotopias.Materials and methods. In the Clinic of South Ural State Medical University from 2018 to 2020, 2 groups of women with ovarian endometriosis were studied: group 1 — with infertility (n = 22); group 2 — without it (n = 27). The level of urinary 6-SMT and the activity of ribosomal synthesis were determined.Results. The level of 6-SMT is reduced in patients with stage I ovarian endometriosis. At stagesII and III, the level of 6-SMTis lower in women with infertility than without it: Stage II — (38.82±1.49) ng/ml and (93.04±3.64) ng/ml (p < 0.001); Stage III — (42.84±1.85) ng/ml and (58.06±1.65) ng/ml (p = 0.340). The activity of ribosomal synthesis in epithelial cells of endometrioid heterotopias increases at stage III. In fibroblasts of the stroma of endometrioid heterotopias, the activity of ribosomal synthesis is higherin women with stage III infertility, and in histiocytes— in women with stage II infertility. A logistic stepwise regression analysis was carried out and the most important predictors influencing the development of infertility were identified.Discussion. The decrease in melatonin in women with ovarian endometriosis, suffering from infertility, as well as in stage I ovarian endometriosis is consistent with the research of M. I. Yarmolinskaya et al. (2019). In the presence of infertility, activation of connective tissue histiocytes begins in the early stages. The results obtained may reflect the immunomodulatory effect of melatonin, which is expressed inincreased functional activity of connective tissue histiocytes and fibroblasts.Conclusion. Using mathematical analysis, the most important indicators that influence the reproductive prognosis in women with ovarian endometriosis (activity of nucleolar organizer regions, urine 6-SMT level) were determined, which makes it possible to create a model for calculating an individual reproductive prognosis.

New productive pear variety Favoritka

The results of the selection and variety study of pears in the conditions of the Southern Urals are considered. At the South Ural Research Institute of Horticulture and Potato Growing, a branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Urfanits Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, breeding work was carried out to improve the assortment of pears for the Ural region. As a result of many years of breeding work, the range of fruit and berry plants was replenished with a new pear variety, Favoritka, which in 2022 was included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements approved for use. In the process of breeding work, the winter hardiness of pear varieties in the harsh climatic conditions of the Chelyabinsk region was studied, as a result it was noted that infield conditions when the temperature dropped to -40 ° C, freezing of trees of local varieties did not exceed 1 point. An assessment was made of the yield of local varieties, among which the following varieties stand out: Vekovaya, Myth, Favoritka, and Zolotoy Shar, with an average yield of 24 - 28 kg per tree. The economic indicators of the Favoritka pear variety (profitability level of 253.5%) indicate its suitability for cultivation in both industrial and amateur gardening in the Ural region. A pomological description and assessment of the economic usefulness of the new Favoritka pear variety are presented, which combines large fruit (fruit weight can reach 340 g), high winter hardiness, productivity, resistance to abiotic and biotic stressors (not affected by scab, resistant to pear gall mite), has fruits of excellent taste, suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for processing (preparing jams, preserves, compotes, etc.). The variety is in demand among the population and is of interest as a source of giant fruit in further breeding work.

The subject of the stated research is conditioned by the need to develop modern methods and technologies of information support of the tourism industry of the regional profile taking into account its specifics and features. Awareness and comfortable conditions of tourist service are the key factors of successful promotion and sustainable development of this sphere. In the near future, domestic tourism has great prospects, it concerns many territories of the country, and the Southern Urals is no exception. The article is a continuation of research work related to the collection and analysis of geodata, as well as the visualization of the information environment. This study shows how to graphically visualize information on the basis of the development of an interactive scheme project with the possibility of overlaying it on a scalable satellite map in the field of industrial, scientific-cognitive tourism and architectural tourism on the example of a separate layer "Country of Cities" for the objects located in the South Urals. In the research on the basis of the program utility "Grid cartogram of reference archaeological objects" the design concept of the interface functionality of utility "KROT-1.0" ("Cartogram of reference objects of tourism. Version 1.0") is developed and tested as an interactive cartogram on Internet platforms. Methodology wise, the research process consists of 2 stages: pre-project or data collection with the formation of a database catalog and design and research, with the implementation of results, consisting in the development of the design concept of the utility and its integration with a web resource developed on the platform of non-commercial CMS; analysis and comparison of the results obtained on different platforms, publication or placement of the developed interactive schemes on internal servers and Internet platforms with further prospects for the development of mobile applications for the provision of information environment in different spheres of regional tourism.

Nature of Perovskite Mineralization of Silicate-Carbonate Veins in the Margins of Kusinsko-Kopanskaya Layered Intrusion (South Urals, Russia)

This study presents the first comprehensive investigation of perovskite from its type locality (Mineral Mines of Southern Urals, Russia), where this mineral was first described by Gustav Rose in 1839. The new data includes results from precise chemical analyses (electron-probe microanalyzer, LA-ICP-MS) and U-Pb ages (SHRIMP-II) of perovskite. Perovskite occurs in silicate-carbonate veins that transect the marginal parts of the Middle Riphaean Kusinsko-Kopanskaya layered intrusion, previously thought to be skarns. The perovskite crystals range from micrometer-scale grains to up to 11 cm in size. Chemical investigations revealed a low content of trace elements (rare earth elements, Y, Nd, U, Th) compared to perovskites from alkaline ultramafic rocks, silica-undersaturated basic rocks, carbonatites, and kimberlites. The determined age of the perovskite, 535 ± 43 Ma, significantly differs from the 1379 ± 8 Ma age of the Kusinsko-Kopanskaya intrusion, challenging the skarn-origin hypothesis for perovskite. Instead, the findings suggest a carbonatite origin for the perovskite mineralization. This timing indicates a previously unknown stage of endogenic activity on the Western Slope of the Southern Urals.

Typomorphic and Technological Characteristics of Quartz of the Mica-Pegmatite Formation on the Example of the Berkutinskaya Vein (South Urals)

Abstract ––Understanding the origin of quartz veins of the mica-pegmatite formation is of great importance for deciphering the emplacement conditions for the of commercially prospective quartz targets. On the example of the Berkutinskaya vein, which is the typical metamorphogenic quartz deposit of the mica-pegmatite formation of the South Urals, we study the source and origin of the mineral-forming fluid, temperatures of quartz formation, the structure of intergranular boundaries, their morphometric feature, the fractal dimension of quartz grains and commercial characteristics of quartz grit. An integrated approach to the study of the typomorphic features of quartz allowed us to assess their impact on the technological characteristics of quartz concentrates. Comparison of data on the content of impurity elements in the Berkutinskaya quartz vein with quartz of the vein No. 175 of OOO Russian Quartz and IOTA-std (Sibelco) showed that the Berkutinskaya quartz vein is promising for commercial development.

Analysis of central pontine myelinolysis in HIV-infected patients

Aim: to conduct a clinical and epidemiological analysis of cases of central pontine myelinolysis (CPM) in HIV-infected patients. Materials and methods. Four patients hospitalized in the infectious diseases department of No. 1 Clinic of the South Ural State Medical University were under dynamic observation. Results and its discussion. Patient management was carried out in accordance with current clinical recommendations for the provision of medical care to patients with HIV infection with a set of clinical and laboratory methods, including examination of lumbar puncture, its cytological and biochemical composition, determination of DNA of cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Epstein-Barr viruses (EBV) herpes simplex types 1 and 2, T. gondii, Cr. Neoformans, M. Tuberculosis, Cryptococcus neoformans, the presence of pathogens of bacterial infections. All patients underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain. Conclusion. The process of demyelination of the central nervous system develops regardless of the level of CD4 lymphocytes and HIV viral load. The main method for verifying the diagnosis is MRI of the brain

Soil Bacterial and Archaeal Communities of the Periodic Flooding Zone of Three Main Reservoirs in the South Ural Region (Russia)

Studying the soils in the periodical flood zone of three reservoirs is of promising importance for their subsequent return to economic activities. Research on the bacterial and archaeal communities of soils that are periodically or continuously flooded by reservoirs is still insufficient. To evaluate the chemical status of soils and their microbiota, the study was conducted in the Yumaguzino, Nugush, and Slak reservoir sites in the South Ural area (Russian Federation). The bacterial and archaeal communities of periodically flooded and non-flooded soils were investigated after a comparative investigation of chemical, hydrological, and climatic factors. It was discovered that flooded soils had anoxic conditions during the whole of the year, with brief drying intervals of limited length and low levels of effective temperatures. In terms of chemistry, flooded soils are distinguished by increased acidity, a fall in organic matter, and an increase in alkali-hydrolysable nitrogen. Compared to their counterparts in non-flooded soils, bacterial and archaeal communities in flooded soils are significantly different. Generally speaking, the biodiversity of flooded soils rises with the duration and depth of floods. Significant variations at the phylum level are mostly caused by a decline in the relative presence of Thaumarchaeota and an increase in Proteobacteria and Chloroflexi representation. It was discovered that the Euryarchaeota phylum was either absent or had a significantly decreased relative prevalence at the sites of intermittently flooding soils.

On the issue of the formation temperatures of sellaite and fluorite in the Suran deposit (South Urals)

For the sellaite-fluorite Suran deposit, the currently available data on the temperatures of homogenization and decompression of fluid inclusions are summarized and critically reviewed. It is shown that the conclusions of previous researchers on fluorite formation temperatures based on these data are contradictory. Possible causes of the current situation are discussed. The results of studying sellaite, various fluorite and quartz generations by vacuum decompression are presented. It is concluded that the initial temperatures of mineral-forming fluids could reach 360–400°C.

The mineralogy of the historical Mochalin Log REE deposit, South Urals, Russia. Part V. Zilbermintsite-(La), (CaLa5)(Fe3+Al3Fe2+)[Si2O7][SiO4]5O(OH)3, a new mineral with ET2 type structure and a definition of the radekškodaite group

Abstract The new mineral zilbermintsite-(La), ideally (CaLa5)(Fe3+Al3Fe2+)[Si2O7][SiO4]5O(OH)3, was found in a single polymineralic nodule from the Mochalin Log REE deposit, Chelyabinsk Oblast, South Urals, Russia. Zilbermintsite-(La) forms anhedral grains up to 0.65 × 0.20 mm at the contact of ferriperbøeite-(La), törnebohmite-(La) and ferriallanite-(Ce). Other associated minerals include bastnäsite-(La), biraite-(La), ferriallanite-(La), ferriperbøeite-(Ce), fluorbritholite-(Ce), monazite-(La), perbøeite-(La), percleveite-(Ce), percleveite-(La), perrierite-(Ce), perrierite-(La), thorianite, thorite and quartz. The new mineral is light brown, translucent in thin fragments with a vitreous lustre. It is brittle, with good {100} cleavage. Mohs hardness is ca. 6. Dcalc = 4.684 g cm–3. Optically, zilbermintsite-(La) is biaxial (+), α = 1.805(7), β = 1.812(7) and γ = 1.867(8) (589 nm); 2Vmeas = 40(15)° and 2Vcalc = 40°. The empirical formula based on O28(OH,F)3 apfu is (Ca0.94La2.56Ce2.18Nd0.20Pr0.10Th0.02)Σ6.00(Al2.96Fe3+0.90Fe2+0.64Mg0.34Mn0.13Ti0.03)Σ5.00Si7.00O28[(OH)2.42F0.58]. Zilbermintsite-(La) is monoclinic, P21/m; the unit-cell parameters are: a = 8.9605(5), b = 5.7295(2), c = 25.1033(13) Å, β = 116.616(7), V = 1152.21(12) Å3 and Z = 2. The crystal structure of zilbermintsite-(La) is solved from the single-crystal X-ray diffraction data [R = 0.0757 for 2857 unique reflections with I > 2σ(I)]. The new mineral is isotypic to radekškodaite-(La) and radekškodaite-(Ce) and together with them forms the newly defined radekškodaite group. All members of this group possess the ET2 type structure where one epidote-type module (E) regularly alternates with two törnebohmite-type modules (T). The new mineral honours Professor Veniamin A. Zilbermints (1887–1939) who was a pioneer of the study of the Mochalin Log deposit. The Levinson suffix-modifier -(La) indicates the predominance of La among rare-earth elements in the mineral.

Water-Containing Defects in Variously Deformed Milky-White Vein Quartz of the Larino Deposit (South Urals)

Abstract ––The methods of Infrared (IR) and Raman spectroscopy, as well as gas chromatography, were used to assess the distribution, content and composition of water-containing defects in variously deformed milky-white vein quartz of the Larino deposit. Weakly deformed quartz and quartz with intensive polygonization and recrystallization, in which water is present in molecular form, in fractures, channels, intergranular space, as well as in the composition of fluid inclusions, are analyzed. The content of water-containing defects, according to IR spectroscopy and gas chromatography, decreases in a series from weakly deformed primary granular coarse-grained quartz to blocked and recrystallized. The obtained results indicate the release of water during recrystallization, along the newly formed grain boundaries by diffusion and further homogenization to achieve an equilibrium state. Gas content also depends on the degree of deformation changes in samples and decreases from large coarse-grained differences to intensely deformed quartz with a high content of recrystallized grains.

Genetic Variability of Bovine Leukemia Virus: Evidence of Dual Infection, Recombination and Quasi-Species.

We have characterized the intrahost genetic variation in the bovine leukemia virus (BLV) by examining 16 BLV isolates originating from the Western Siberia-Tyumen and South Ural-Chelyabinsk regions of Russia. Our research focused on determining the genetic composition of an 804 bp fragment of the BLV env gene, encoding for the entire gp51 protein. The results provide the first indication of the quasi-species genetic nature of BLV infection and its relevance for genome-level variation. Furthermore, this is the first phylogenetic evidence for the existence of a dual infection with BLV strains belonging to different genotypes within the same host: G4 and G7. We identified eight cases of recombination between these two BLV genotypes. The detection of quasi-species with cases of dual infection and recombination indicated a higher potential of BLV for genetic variability at the intra-host level than was previously considered.

Options for integrating psychological resources into the structure of social identity

The article discusses options for integrating psychological resources (the level of satisfaction of needs and the choice of values) into the structure of social identity. The study sample consisted of managers in the field of education who carry out management activities and are students in the correspondence department of the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education «South Ural State University (National Research University)», improving the level of their own qualifications. A total of 80 managers aged from 20 to 35 took part in the study. The presented research was carried out in two stages: at the first stage of the study, the level of expression of psychological resources of managers was studied, at the second stage, the structure of the social identity of managers with different levels of expression of psychological resources was studied. The psychological resources of managers (level of satisfaction of needs and choice of values) were studied using the test «Satisfaction of needs at work» by V.N. Skvortsova, E.A. Maklakova and the «Reflective Choice» technique by V.A. Petrovsky. To study the social identity of managers, the method «Role Relationships of Social Subjects to Creative Individuals» (ROSSTL) by V.G. Gryazeva-Dobshinskaya, N.Yu. Bakunchik, V.A. Glukhova. A.S. Maltseva. As a result of the study, three options for integrating psychological resources (level of satisfaction of needs and choice of values) into the structure of social identity in three subgroups of managers were identified: among managers with a high level of satisfaction of social needs; managers who choose the values of freedom and development; and among managers who choose the value of freedom. The factor structure of social identity was called «Male boss ↔ Accepted by the company», «Rescuer in crisis ↔ Choosing development», «Creator ↔ Choosing freedom», respectively. The identified unique factors are demonstrated by the fact of integration of psychological resources that determine the specifics of the structure of social identity.

Dynamics of Seed Productivity of the Endemic Species Anemonastrum biarmiense (Juz.) Holub (Ranunculaceae) in the South Ural Reserve

Five-year dynamics of seed productivity of the high-mountain endemic species Anemonastrum biarmiense (Juz.) Holub in the territory of the South Ural Reserve is presented. The collection of seed material was carried out in three cenopopulations (Dunan-Sungan, Yusha and Naratash), two of which are associated with tall grass communities of the Polygonion krascheninnikovii Kashapov 1985 union, the third cenopopulation is part of the tundra-like communities of the spruce-birch crooked forest of the Calamagrostion arundinaceae (Luquet 1926) Oberdorfer 1957 union. A brief description of the weather conditions of the growing year is given with a graph of minimum temperatures from May to July 2015–2021, where the largest number of days with frost was noted for 2017 (9 days), and not noted at all for 2021. A description of the morphological heterogeneity is given. Seeds of A.biarmiense, while it was found that the seeds of plants are most often characterized by an ellipsoidal shape, less often an ellipsoidal one with a base narrowed into a stem. The spherical shape of the seeds is more common in forest cenopopulations, and the ellipsoidal shape is more common in meadow ones. Seeds with a wavy and even edge are observed equally often. The metric and quantitative parameters of A. biarmiense seed productivity in natural cenopopulations from 2015 to 2021 are given. Most of the metrics increase in 2016, 2018 and decrease in 2015, 2017 with worsening weather conditions. Among the quantitative indicators, the largest number of ovules and seeds per seedling, fl ower-bearing shoot and individual were found in the meadow cenopopulations of Yusha, Dunan-sungan of the forest belt, and in the Naratash CP of the subalpine belt, their number is reduced. Accordingly, a higher seed productivity coeffi cient was found in the open meadow communities of the forest belt, and a lower one in the crooked forest belt. Characterizing the weather conditions of the growing year, most of the maximum values were found in 2016, when the climatic conditions were the most favorable during the growing season. The minimum values of seed productivity indicators were noted in 2017 and 2021, characterized by the least favorable weather conditions throughout the growing season. The lowest variability of seed productivity traits was found for the length and width of the seed, the highest – for the weight of seeds and the number of unfulfilled seeds per seed, flowering shoot and plant. The amplitude of variability for all studied parameters of seed productivity varies in a wide range among the observed cenopopulations in the belt of spruce crooked forests on the ridge. Naratash, while in the narrowest range, variation of signs in the Yusha and Dunan-sungan CP was revealed.

To the biology of Ligularia sibirica in the South Ural Reserve

The article presents the results of studying the life and reproductive characteristics of plants of the relict for Europe Eurasian polymorphic species Ligularia sibirica (L.) Cass. in three coenopopulations in the conditions of the South Ural Nature Reserve. The plant is little studied in the Ural region, medicinal and very effective, therefore in many ways promising for study in introduction purposes. In natural coenopopulations it grows in fairly moist areas, occurs sparsely in meadows, and in dense clusters under the forest canopy. In forest cenoses, Ligularia sibirica plants are tall and look much larger than in meadow cenoses. In different ecotopes, the variability of morphometric characters is not the same and is specific to a particular habitat. The characteristics of the generative sphere vary to a greater extent relative to the vegetative one. Analysis of variance revealed the dependence of the height of the generative shoot on the plant habitat (56.8%), as well as the length and width of the stem leaves on the ecotope conditions (51.3-69.2%). The age structure of the CP has a right-sided single-vertex type of spectrum with a predominance of young generative plants and a low proportion of mature ones. The superiority of generative plants in the spectra is due to the seed renewal of this species. Ligularia sibirica is distinguished by high reproductive rates with a fairly high coefficient of seed productivity (91%). However, the germination rate of its seeds is quite low, since the seeds are characterized by shallow organic dormancy, from which the seeds can be removed by short stratification or by storing the seeds in dry conditions. In the Southern Urals, this species requires further study.

Taxonomic inventory and distributions of Chenopodiaceae (Amaranthaceae s.l.) in Orenburg Region, Russia.

Orenburg Region is located in the South Urals, mostly in the steppe zone and is characterised by various landscapes suitable for many Chenopodiaceae. The species of Chenopodiaceae are present in all major plant communities (saline vegetation, steppes, on limestone, chalk and sand, and as degraded or ruderal communities). In the steppe zone, many native subshrubby species (Atriplexcana, Caroxylonlaricinum, Suaedaphysophora) playing a crucial role in semi-deserts (known as southern steppes in the recent Russian literature) located southwards of Orenburg Region are locally found, and several annuals (Salicorniaperennans, Suaeda spp.) are most common dominants in plant communities. Some typical semi-desert species (Kalidiumfoliatum, Bassiahyssopifolia, Sodafoliosa, Spirobassiahirsuta) are found in the easternmost part of the region. We compiled a checklist of Chenopodiaceae in Orenburg Region, with two new records (Chenopodiumvirgatum, Corispermumlaxiflorum), based on our critical revision, comprehensive inventory of herbarium specimens and documented observations and field research. In total, we report 76 species in the Region, which is the third-highest number of the Chenopodiaceae species compared with other administrative territories of European Russia, North Caucasus and West Siberia. Alien and native taxa are distinguished. Zonal patterns of species distributions are confirmed. A preliminary conservation status is proposed for each native species. Three species are recommended for exclusion from the Red Data Book of Orenburg Region: Petrosimoniatriandra (because of its extensive distribution), Kalidiumfoliatum and Anabasissalsa (because of the lack of actual threat to their populations). Arthrophytumlehmannianum and Salsolarosacea are considered threatened (Vulnerable) because of their restricted occurrence and population size and because their localities are under anthropogenic pressure. Atriplexhortensis, Atriplexrosea, Chenopodiumacuminatum, C.karoi, C.praetericola, C.vulvaria, Climacopteraaffinis, C.crassa, Halimocnemiskarelinii, Salsolapaulsenii and Xylosalsolaarbuscula are excluded from the checklist, based on various reasons as discussed in the paper. Point distribution maps are provided for each species. Agriophyllumpungens (Vahl) Link is accepted as the correct authorship instead of "M.Bieb. ex C.A.Mey."
