A theoretical method is given for formulating the geometrical shape of the cavity interface and the lubricant-film pressure in the regions of film rupture and film reformation for a short journal bearing with central circumferential feeding, using Jakobsson-Floberg's boundary conditions. Bearing performance is studied, and is compared with that obtained under other boundary conditions.
