Implementasi Kurikulum Pesantren pada Sekolah Formal (Studi Kasus: SMP Muhammadiyah Plus Klaten Utara)

The purpose of this study is to examine how the implementation of the pesantren curriculum is integrated into formal educational institutions, especially in the Muhammadiyah Plus North Klaten Junior High School in designing the curriculum as a form of process of fostering, educating and encouraging students to underlie every behavior with good moral values or character. Formal School Education Curriculum to the Islamic Boarding School Curriculum In strengthening character education, data collection is carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. After data processing, the findings are presented in a descriptive form, and conclusions are formed from the data using source triangulation and methods. The results of the study show that there is an implementation of a formal education curriculum development model by collaborating with the values of the pesantren education curriculum which can be a solution in strengthening the morals of students. Thus, the curriculum becomes a tool in education that contains systematic and dynamic planning to achieve educational goals that have an impact on the social environment and society and are able to answer the challenges of the times.

Implementasi Kegiatan Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab Pada Boarding School SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo

This research discusses the implementation of Arabic language learning using the boarding school system at SMA Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo, which discusses learning planning, namely an Arabic learning plan including activities to develop learning objectives and planning the flow of lessons for learning Arabic, implementation of learning, namely learning plans. that have been developed, as well as a continuous process of teaching and learning activities that focus on school activities to achieve educational goals, learning evaluation is one of the important stage activities that educators must carry out to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of learning. In the Arabic language learning planning at Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo High School, currently there is a learning curriculum, learning tools and an Arabic language competency skills upgrading program implemented for teachers and students. In the learning implementation there is formal and non-formal learning. Evening diniyah formal learning. Meanwhile, non-formal learning takes the form of giving mufrodat, muhadoroh, and language drama. In learning evaluation there are 3 assessment components, namely daily assessment, daily test assessment and final pre-school assessment which are test and non-test based.

Teachers as Catalysts for Shaping Religious Character in Youth

General Background: The youth are pivotal for national development and are increasingly required to navigate the complexities of a technologically advanced world. Specific Background: Despite this necessity, many young individuals are ill-prepared for technological engagement and often misuse these tools, which adversely affects their character. Character education is critical and must be integrated into both formal and non-formal educational systems. Knowledge Gap: While the role of Islamic boarding schools in character education is acknowledged, the specific contributions of teachers within this context remain underexplored. Aims: This research aims to elucidate the role of teachers in fostering a generation of religious professionals at the Wali Barokah Islamic Boarding School in Kediri, East Java. Results: Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, revealing that teachers serve as facilitators, motivators, and role models. Findings indicated that teachers received a high observation score of 91%, highlighting their effectiveness in character formation. Novelty: This study provides a comprehensive examination of how teacher involvement directly influences the development of religious character among students, emphasizing the multifaceted role teachers play in Islamic education. Implications: The results underscore the necessity for enhanced teacher training and support to strengthen character education in Islamic boarding schools, thereby equipping the next generation with the moral framework needed to successfully navigate contemporary challenges and contribute positively to society. Geophysical archaeology for the study of complex historical-period burial spaces: An example from the Fort Lewis military cemetery, Colorado

Geophysical methods have long been used to locate and map unmarked graves in cemeteries and burial spaces. Despite their prevalence, geophysical cemetery surveys can be extremely complex, particularly when dealing with historical-period cemeteries. Not only are there interpretive challenges from site formation processes and noncultural features, but there are also cultural challenges when seeking to study a cemetery within its historical context. Geophysical archaeology is a specialization that can guide this type of work by underscoring the cultural context for geophysical data. Beyond simply locating unmarked graves or other “anomalies,” geophysical archaeology emphasizes increasing the interpretive ability of geophysical data by situating these surveys in cultural theory. Using the example of the Fort Lewis military cemetery, which also served the Fort Lewis Indian Boarding School, in southwest Colorado, this paper highlights how geophysical archaeology was used to identify specific features about the cemetery, including the original fence line, number of likely graves, and two different burial contexts (casketed burials and exhumed graves).

Penerapan Metode Syawir untuk Mengembangkan Pemahaman Materi Fiqih Santri di Pondok Pesantren Bani Alawiyah Probolinggo

This study aims to examine the application of the Syawir method in a pesantren institution among the students (santri). The students at Bani Alawiyah Islamic Boarding School are highly enthusiastic about mastering the study of fiqh, which sparked the researcher’s interest in further investigating the method used in fiqh learning. This research is a field study, specifically descriptive qualitative research, designed to describe the implementation of the Syawir method in fiqh learning using the *Fathul Qorib* book at Bani Alawiyah Islamic Boarding School. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of the head, administrators, class supervisors, teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that the students at Bani Alawiyah Islamic Boarding School in Probolinggo have applied the Syawir method in learning fiqh from the *Fathul Qorib* book. This method has improved the students' understanding of the fiqh material, which they initially struggled with. The method not only enhances their comprehension of the material but also fosters their social and critical thinking skills, helping them to solve complex problems. This method is implemented to achieve the goal of engaging in effective discussions (musyawarah) before progressing to the next level.

The implementation of English and Arabic practices at an Islamic bilingual boarding school

The study aims to identify challenges teachers and students face in this process at an Islamic bilingual middle boarding school in Aceh, Indonesia. The participants included 27 boarding school students, one English teacher, and one Arabic teacher. The collected data underwent analysis using the interactive analysis model, which involves data reduction, display, and verification. The analysis focuses on specific activities within five categories: (1) mufradat (vocabulary), (2) controlling language use, (3) muhadasah (conversational activities), (4) competition, and (5) cooperation. The findings revealed that not all specified activities were consistently carried out, with each category featuring three implemented activities: daily vocabulary memorization, language festivals, and the application of punishments. The interviews brought forth challenges such as teachers’ language proficiency limitations, students’ low motivation, and a tendency to use the Indonesian language when unsupervised. These insights provide valuable guidance for similar boarding institutions that implement comparable language programs.

Analisis Pencegahan Kekerasan dan Pendekatan Adil Gender pada Sekolah Muhammadiyah Berbasis Pesantren di Jawa Timur

Nowadays, it has become a trust issue, about violence and sexual harassment in the Islamic boarding school environment. In addition to parenting patterns, a gender-fair approach is also an aspect that needs to be studied. This study aims to analyze the prevention of violence and a gender-equality approach in Muhammadiyah boarding schools in East Java. This research is a qualitative study. The subjects of the study were selected using a purposive method, they are the chief and caregivers of the boarding school in two Islamic boarding schools located in Sidoarjo Regency and Lamongan Regency, East Java. The research data collection technique was carried out using 3 (three) methods, observation, documentation, and interviews. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. The study showed that in terms of preventing violence, Muhammadiyah Islamic boarding schools use a parenting pattern strategy that prioritizes child-friendly principles, and minimizes physical punishment, with the concept of rahmatan lil alamin. Meanwhile, in terms of preventing sexual abuse, education is considered less massive and has not touched on the substantive realm across genders. Furthermore, a gender-fair approach is shown by equality in access to opportunities for male and female students in organizational leadership, as well as in the practice of preaching.

TAHFIDZ AL-QUR’AN DI PONDOK PESANTREN

This paper discusses the meaning, methods, and virtues of Qur'an memorization in Islamic boarding schools. This paper will first include the definition of Qur'anic memorization, its methods, and its virtues. The second section examines Islamic boarding schools and their virtues. The third section discusses Qur'an memorization in Islamic boarding schools and its virtues. The tahfidz program aims to produce hafidz (memorizers) who can memorize all 30 juz of the Qur'an properly and correctly according to the rules in the Qur'an, the implementation of which will be maximized if carried out in boarding schools. This paper is a literature study by collecting data from various literature and information from available sources such as books, journals, reports, and other documents

The Biopolitics of Disability

This article investigates the biopolitics of disability in the ablenationalist England of Kazuo Ishiguro’s novel Never Let Me Go and examines how a neoliberal society urges its citizens to depend on market-based private medical management to be able-bodied individuals in order to fully participate in society. It also analyses the lives of clones who reside at Hailsham, a boarding school, as well as those of the non-cloned human beings living in the community outside Hailsham to illustrate the Agambenian ideologies of zoē and bios. The less explored and less debated sections of the novel, such as the fictional state of England, the institutions that produce and raise human clones like Hailsham, and the society of non-cloned human beings who are waiting for organ transplantation, are examined to exemplify how ablenationalism and able-disabled become strategies for inclusion in a neoliberal society of Ishiguro’s fictional England, thus problematising the ableist notion of inclusion as presented in Never Let Me Go.

Resisting racialized organizational practices: A case study of Black community-centered engagement

ABSTRACT Black community members often express frustrations with engagement within school board meetings through continuous advocacy for systemic change. While scholarship has identified the racial tensions between Black community members and school board members, few studies have explored how school board meeting spaces and their practices influence Black community members’ participation and the possibilities for authentic engagement. Drawing from work on authentic participation and theory of racialized organizations, I examine how organizational practices associated with engagement in school board meetings are racialized and therefore impact where authentic engagement is possible. I identify that it is through both Black community members’ resistance to racialized organizational practices within decision-making spaces, and the community-centered approaches they take despite the racialized practices encountered, that authentic engagement exists. The study offers implications for how education leaders can acknowledge and support community-centered approaches to engagement.

Pengaruh Lingkungan Pondok Pesantren Terhadap Mutu Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam

This research discusses the influence of the Pondok Pesantrena environment on the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning in the MA X Nurul Khoir Surabaya class. This research uses a quantitative approach and a qualitative approach at the same time. The results of the research show that the environmental intensity of the Islamic Boarding School in the MA X Nurul Khoir Surabaya class is included in the good level category. The influence between the Pondok Pesantrena environment and the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning in the Calss X MA X Nurul Khoir Surabaya can be concluded that there is a correlation. In general, the Islamic boarding school environment in class X MA Nurul Khoir Surabaya is in good condition. The quality of Islamic Religious Education learning is included in the good level category. Therefore, the quality of Islamic religious education learning will also have a good impact as long as the Islamic boarding school environment is in the good category.

Tahfidz Al-Qur'an Learning Management

This research examines the learning planning management process and the mechanisms, systems and strategies needed so that tahfiz al-Qur'an learning can be achieved effectively and efficiently. The Tahfiz Al Qur'an and Hadist Al Faiz Islamic boarding school is a tahfiz institution that holds formal programs in the form of MIS, MTs, MAS, and Takhossus Tahfiz Al Faiz with the main aim of producing a cadre of imams, preachers and teachers to be able to restore the glory of Islam through al Qur'an and sunnah. This research is a type of field research using a qualitative phenomenological approach regarding the management of Al-Quran tahfiz learning for students at the Al Faiz Islamic boarding school in Deli Serdang. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation techniques from schools. Data analysis starts from data collection, reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions using a deductive method that starts from general events and then reduces them to specific parts. Based on the data findings, it can be concluded that the learning planning process carried out for the students includes annual programs, semester programs and daily learning plans, as well as the mechanism and system for organizing tahfiz learning for all students, implemented within a maximum of 4 months, trained with tahsin in the form of memorizing Matan Al-Jazari and Tuhfatul Atfal as well as talaqqi reading starting from Surah Al-Fatihah to completing Juz 30, all of which of course must start with good planning, good communication, and must also be supported by strategic learning development that is able to teach the students. so that it is hoped that a superior generation of Muslims will be created (khaira ummah).

Dissemination of Digital Marketing and Branding Products at Mia Coffee Managers at Ma'had Ihya' Al Ahmadi, Kampung Sungai Kelambu, Selangor, Malaysia

MIA Coffee is a business venture owned by Maahad Ihya Al Ahmadi in Kampung Sungai, Kelambu, Selangor, Malaysia. The management of MIA Coffee comes from staff and teachers at the same school. However, this business wants to be developed so that people outside the Islamic boarding school can enjoy it. Therefore, it is necessary to have skills in digital marketing and branding of Islamic products. The method used in this service uses service learning activities, where students of the International KKM UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang provide training related to courses taught by lecturers who are experts related to this. The result of this service is the understanding of the administrators and the opening of MIA Coffee for the community around the Islamic boarding school. The limitation of this community service is that it has not been included in creating social media and marketplaces to implement the results of digital marketing and Islamic product branding dissemination.

Development of E-Based Learning Modules Problem Based Learning (PBL) in improving students' critical thinking abilities

This research aims to determine the feasibility of problem-based learning (PBL) e-Modules in improving students' critical thinking skills. The research carried out is a type of R&D (Research and Development) research that follows the 4D development model. This research was carried out at the Al-Ikhlas Taliwang Islamic Boarding School for class XI students. This research will last for three months, starting from December to February 2023/2024. Determination of the sample in this research was carried out using purposive sampling technique. The number of samples in this study was 26 students from class XI. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The research instrument consists of a material expert validity test questionnaire, a media expert validity test questionnaire, and an e-module readability test questionnaire by students. The data analysis technique uses the average percentage score formula from the validation results of material experts and media experts, and the results of e-module readability tests by students. From the results of the material expert validation, a score of 3.3 was obtained from validator 1 and 3.6 from validator 2, an average score of 3.45 with good criteria. Then the media expert validation results obtained a score of 3.5 from validator 1 and 3.4 from validator 2 with an average score of 3.45 with good criteria. Based on the results of the e-module readability test assessment by students, it shows that the results of the class . So it can be said that the e-module that is being developed is practical for use in learning.

The level of knowledge about dental malocclusion in students at Islamic boarding schools

Introduction: Malocclusions often found daily include crowding of teeth, open bites, cross bites, protrusion, and maxillary or mandibular teeth. This proves that the community's need for orthodontic treatment is very high. Knowledge results from human knowledge, which occurs after people sense certain objects. A person's knowledge of an object contains two aspects, namely positive aspects and negative aspects. Purpose: To identify the level of knowledge about dental malocclusion in students at Islamic boarding schools. Methods: The questionnaire was prepared for pre and post-tests. The questionnaire contains 12 questions using the Guttman scale which has two answer choices "yes" or "no", where positive answers are given a score of 1 and negative answers are scored 0. Results: There was a significant increase of understanding in the mean of subject matter from the post-test mean was higher (14,4%) than the pre-test rate (12,1%) with a significant difference (P=0.000) Conclusion: The goal of this community service was to successfully provide counseling about the importance of awareness of dental malocclusion at the Islamic Boarding School in Karangmojo, Ponorogo, East Java by conducting a questionnaire of pretest and posttest to understand the level of knowledge of dental malocclusion. The level of knowledge was increased by the result of the post-test mean was higher (14,4%) than the pre-test rate (12,1%) with a significant difference (P=0.000).

Efforts to Improve RA Learners' Understanding of the Solar System Through Interactive Learning Media at Sholawat Islamic Boarding School

This community service aims to improve the understanding of students at RA Pondok Sholawat, Caruban, Madiun, East Java, about the Solar System through interactive learning media. Based on the initial observations, it was found that traditional learning methods cannot attract interest and improve students' understanding optimally. To overcome this problem, an intervention was carried out in the form of a grant for a set of touchscreen laptops and training teachers on using interactive learning media. The results showed an increase in the enthusiasm and involvement of students in the learning process and an increase in teacher competence in utilizing technology as a learning tool. This program created a more pleasant and effective learning atmosphere and positively impacted the quality of learning at RA Pondok Sholawat. Interactive learning media is expected to be an innovative model that can be applied in other educational institutions to improve students' understanding of scientific concepts from an early age.

Analisis Kelayakan Pengembangan Bisnis Sayuran Hidroponik (Studi Kasus Kebun Gizi Hidroponik Pondok Pesantren Hidayatullah Depok)

Hydroponic Nutrition Garden at Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School Depok is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of Kimia Farma that utilizes the potential of Islamic boarding schools to support the development of economic independence at Hidayatullah Islamic Boarding School Depok. The demand for hydroponic vegetables in this nutrition garden continues to increase, but the amount of production has not met this demand, therefore it needs development. The results of the analysis on non-financial aspects state that the development of a hydroponic vegetable business is feasible based on market, technical, management, legal, social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects. Results of financial aspect analysis based on NPV with a value of Rp. 140,052,675 and Rp. 205,508,544, IRR with a value of 57% and 68%, Net B/C with a value of 6.43 and 6.96, Payback Period with a period of 1 year 8 months and 1 year 6 months, and Incremental Net Benefit with a value of Rp. 65,455,869 show that the business is feasible to run either without or with development.

PENGARUH PEMBIASAAN MEMBACA RATIB AL-HADDAD TERHADAP KEDISIPLINAN SANTRI

Discipline is an attitude that shows a willingness to comply with and obey the provisions, rules and regulations that apply. To achieve life goals, especially in terms of worship and morals. Discipline will be formed by getting used to doing something good and doing it consistently and continuously. Therefore, instilling a disciplined attitude is very necessary for every educational institution. As-Sholchah Islamic Boarding School for Girls implements the habit of activities that are arranged in a fixed schedule and carried out consistently. The purpose of this study was to identify whether there is an influence of the habit of reading Ratib Al-Haddad on the discipline of students and to determine how much influence the habit of reading Ratib Al-Haddad has on the discipline of students. The type of research used is quantitative research. Hypothesis testing uses a simple linear regression test. The results of this study reveal the influence of the habit of reading Ratib Al-Haddad on discipline. The large influence of the habit of reading Ratib al-Haddad on the discipline of students at the As-Sholchah female Islamic boarding school based on simple linear regression analysis guided by R Square is 46%.

MANAJEMEN KEUANGAN DALAM MEMBANGUN KEMANDIRIAN PESANTREN DI PESANTREN DARUNNAJAH 2 CIPINING

Abstract. Educational institutions that are classified as having independence to a certain extent are Islamic boarding schools, both in terms of funding and in providing education. Not a few Islamic boarding schools have been able to properly implement the al-itimad principle a la alnafs, the al-najah principle, namely relying on oneself and optimizing one's potential as the basis for success, there are even some Islamic boarding schools that are able to empower the local economy. In this research, the researcher tries to take an approach that is closely related to what will be researched, where the approach is used as a reference in the research process. The method in this research is that the researcher uses qualitative data collection techniques with descriptive methods to provide a systematic description of the situation, facts and phenomena found in the location to be studied. The research results show that in its efforts to build the independence of Islamic boarding schools. To build the independence of Islamic boarding schools, not only with a vision and mission, it is necessary to have funds to support the Islamic boarding school. keywords: Management, financing and independence
