Parents’ Participation and Learners’ Educational Achievement

Parents’ participation plays a great role in a child’s learning development. This study sought to determine the relationship between the parents’ participation and learners’ educational achievement. It also identified which independent variable/s singly or in combination influenced the educational achievement of learners. This study used descriptive-correlational and causal design with content analysis. It utilized an adapted and modified questionnaire which was validity and reliability tested. Mean, Standard Deviation, Pearson Product Moment Correlation and Multiple Linear Regression as the statistical tools. The study's respondents were the Grades 4,5 and 6 pupils from Naawan Elementary School, Naawan District of Misamis Oriental Division, who were elected though simple random sampling using Slovin’s Formula. Results reveal that parents are highly involved in all six dimensions namely, parenting, communicating, volunteering, learning at home, decision making and collaborating with community. Parenting as the highest and volunteering as the lowest. Pupils have the Very Satisfactory rating. Parents’ participation has low positive correlation between the pupils’ educational achievement while parenting and decision-making influence the pupils’ educational achievement. Thus, parents may continue to be involved in their children’s education and teachers may sustain parental participation by providing accessible avenues for parents to engage in their children’s academic journey

Admission Results and Ratings of Academic Performance of Professional Subjects of the Bachelor of Science in Midwifery Students at GSDMSFI

This study determined the correlation between the academic performance of Midwifery students in their professional subjects and the admission examination during the freshmen academic year. The study determines if there is a significant relationship between admission results and academic performance in different professional subjects. It determines recommendations and interventions that can be made based on the results gathered. The quantitative method was used to emphasize the descriptive-correlational design employed in the research project. The results of 23 students who took the admission test from AY 2017-2023 are the following: most students belong to Stanine 3 which is 11 out of 23. There were no students enrolled with Stanine 5 to Stanine 9. In the frequency distribution of academic performance ratings from AY 2017-2023 of the professional subject M100 course, most students' performance ratings were 2.25, 2.27, and 3.0 which is interpreted as satisfactory and passed. Hence, in the M 101 course most students also a satisfactory rating on the other hand 1 student got the highest grades of 1.5 and 1.75. Additionally, in M102 course had passing and least satisfactory ratings. Likewise in M103, PHC 1 , and PHC 11 wherein most of the students also had a satisfactory passing rate. Using the Spearman’s rank and the p-value , the correlation result between the admission and academic performance rating of BSM students indicates moderately significant.

Service Delivery of Hemodialysis Centers among Public Hospitals in Region III: An Evaluation

The affordability and accessibility of hemodialysis treatment in public hospitals have increased unlike decades before. While there is significant progress, constraining factors and problems exist in hemodialysis service delivery hindering this progress and health outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the level and identify the problems of service delivery of hemodialysis centres to create evidence-based proposed measures and recommendations. The study used a descriptive quantitative research design wherein data was collected by surveying 93 hemodialysis staff in three tertiary hospitals using a Likert scale survey and multiple-choice questionnaire. The study determined that overall level of service delivery has a very satisfactory rating of 3.71. Therefore, the hospitals have sufficient knowledgeable staff, necessary materials and equipment that can deliver quality care and service to an increasing volume of patients while ensuring the patient’s satisfaction; however, the hospitals can further improve the availability, the quality, and the maintenance of the materials and equipment. Moreover, respondents identified these seven service delivery indicators to be the common service delivery problems they encountered. These findings indicate the need for better resource allocation and interagency collaboration to further assess the identified problems, undertake possible interventions, and strengthen local and public healthcare system policymaking.

KUMPAS: A Filipino Sign Language Translator of Deaf and Hearing Individuals Utilizing Computer Vision Algorithm

This study elucidates how the Filipino “Kumpas” translator improves communication between signers and non-signers. Many Hearing people are likely familiar with American Sign Language (ASL), but many are still unaware that the Filipino Deaf have their own unique language called Filipino Sign Language (FSL). In this section, the programmers present a method for bridging the gap between signers and non-signers. Sign to text and speech to sign are the two modes of communication for the “Kumpas” translator. In order to translate using speech, the application would use a speech audio input and based from the words recognized, a 3D character will play a sequence of animations according to the translation. The OpenCV Python library, which is useful for computer vision and image processing tasks, was used by the programmers. MediaPipe has a number of features, including tracking, face recognition, and object detection. The system was tested using an ISO 25010 and based on the evaluation, an overall very satisfactory rating was obtained. Also, findings presented that the system is definitely a useful language translator for Filipinos.

External oblique intercostal block in open nephrectomy patients - A zenith in analgesia for anterolateral upper abdominal surgeries: A case series

Open nephrectomy is a common surgery usually performed for malignant and non-malignant renal pathologies. The external oblique intercostal block (EOIB) blocks the anterior and lateral cutaneous nerves from T6 to T10 and provides somatic analgesia. We present a case series of the use of EOIB in patients undergoing open nephrectomy by subcostal incision. Ten patients were given EOIB, which included patients undergoing simple nephrectomy for non-functioning kidneys and radical nephrectomy for renal mass. The patients had satisfactory numerical rating scale scores, mostly <4 for 24 h. Post-operative opioid consumption was minimal. The external oblique fascial plain block is a novel thoracic block that provides reliable upper thoracoabdominal somatic analgesia. It can certainly be considered a suitable option in surgeries such as nephrectomies that involve an upper lateral abdominal wall incision.

Assessment of Polyetheretherketone Crown in Patients: An Original Research

ABSTRACT Introduction: Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) has a long history of usage in implant abutments, but it has not seen much applications in tooth-supported prosthetics. The purpose of this research was to examine the clinical performance of PEEK crowns as well as the level of patient satisfaction with them. The pilot study was designed as an in vivo longitudinal examination. Material and Methods: Twenty patients each received a PEEK crown during the procedure. In total, 22 implants were inserted, with 11 going into the maxilla and 9 into the mandible. One operator was responsible for carrying out each phase of the procedure. The resin cement was used to lute the crowns that were produced. Baseline, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year after the crowns were placed, they were evaluated for various parameters using Modified Ryge’s Criteria. These evaluations were performed at intervals of 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year. In addition, a questionnaire was used at the same time to assess the level of satisfaction felt by patients. Fisher’s exact test was utilized in the process of analyzing the data that were gathered. Results: According to the findings, 92.5% of the crowns met the modified version of Ryge’s criterion for a satisfactory rating. Three crowns had a fracture recorded. There was some chipping off observed in five of the crowns. There was not any significant difference in the other factors that were examined. The periodontal health of these three patients showed a slight degree of variance (P = 0.02). Conclusion: The capacity of PEEK crowns to create high-quality prostheses that were deemed satisfactory with a reasonably low rate of fracture during the relative mean duration of 1 year was established by the application of Modified Ryge’s Criteria. The PEEK crowns demonstrated their ability to produce quality prostheses.

The Quality of The Translation by Instragam Account Abu Azzam (@abuazzamtv) of The Arabic Clips to Indonesian

The videos published on Instagram have a significant impact on changing society in this era. The current communication channels can influence society, especially Muslims, towards either good or evil, depending on what they see on these social media platforms. If the translation is accurate and understood by the viewers, where it suits the target language without distorting its meaning from the source language, using translation in video clips makes it easier for viewers to understand the intended message in Arabic videos. However, sometimes reading the translation does not enhance understanding but rather confuses the viewers, making it difficult for them to grasp the meaning. One contributing factor is that the translator faithfully presents the source text message, but viewers find it challenging to comprehend the translation. The objectives of this research are as follows: 1) To determine the method used by Abu Azam for translation. 2)To assess the quality of Abu Azam's Instagram account in translating Arabic lesson clips into Indonesian. The research methodology employed is qualitative, using content analysis. The findings indicate the following: 1) Out of 7 video clips, 4 utilize literal translation, 2 employ communicative translation, and 1 uses free translation. 2) In terms of translation accuracy among the 7 video clips, the researcher found that 6 video clips effectively convey the messages, while 1 video clip has some shortcomings in conveying the messages. Regarding acceptability, 4 video clips received a satisfactory rating, 2 received an unsatisfactory rating, and 1 video clip received an unacceptable rating. In terms of comprehension, all 7 video clips were highly understandable, with the viewers easily comprehending the translations.

Management of Anemia in Renal Palliative Care Clinic: A Patient-Centered Approach

BackgroundDespite the growing needs in nondialytic alternatives for conservative kidney management, few studies have examined the management of anemia in palliative care (PC) outpatient clinics, which represent the key point of entry for timely access to PC. ObjectiveA retrospective study to review for a patient-centered approach in anemia management and symptom control. ResultsOver the study period from July 2020 to March 2023, a total of 158 patients were seen at our renal PC clinic, 47 were included in data analysis. Patients had a mean age and glomerular filtration rate of 81.3 (9.5) years and 8.6 (5.3) mL/min/1.73 m2, and 68.1% and 44.7% were receiving erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs) and iron supplements respectively, with only 4.3% of patients required transfusion over past six months. Mean hemoglobin was maintained at 9.8 (1.4) g/dL, with a mean POS-S renal score of 4.7 (3.2). Majority of patients (93.6%) had satisfactory rating on “weakness and lack of energy” item. ConclusionA patient-centered approach in anemia management at renal PC outpatient clinics may alleviate symptom burden and minimize transfusion requirement.

Work-Related Stress and Teaching Performance of Public Elementary School Teachers of San Francisco Cluster IV

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between teachers’ work-related stress and their teaching performance in Public Elementary Schools of San Francisco, Cluster IV in Agusan del Sur Division, Agusan del Sur, Caraga Region. The research used a researcher-made questionnaire to rate teachers’ work-related stress, including workload, assessments and evaluation, time management, classroom behavior, resources, the role of ambiguity, emotional demand, support, and work-life balance. Teachers’ teaching performance was assessed based on the rating of teachers in the Individual Performance Commitment and Review Form (IPCRF). The study employed a descriptive-correlation research design with 53 sampled participants. The study indicated that work-related stress among the teachers was rated as moderate and interpreted as extensive. In terms of teaching performance, 46% of the teacher participants had an outstanding rating, while 54% had a very satisfactory rating, with none rated as satisfactory or poor. The study also found a significant difference in work-related stress among teachers when grouped according to age, teaching experience, and grade level currently teaching. Additionally, the data revealed that the study found no significant impact of the stress caused by workloads on the quality of teaching. Despite the lack of a significant relationship, schools should manage workloads to support educators and maintain optimal teaching quality, fostering a healthier environment and better outcomes for all.

Relationship of Instructional Leadership Practices among School Administrators and School Performance: Input Development of Annual Improvement Plan

This study determined the relationship between instructional leadership practices among school administrators and school performance: Input to the development of Annual Improvement Plan. A descriptive and correlational study type of research that is characterized as simply the attempt to determine, describe, or identify and correlational method will be used in determining the significance of the relationship between instructional leadership practices and school performance using an adopted survey questionnaire. A total of forty (40) respondents of school administrators from Dolores I and II Districts answered the questionnaires utilized in the study to get the data required. The statistical tools used the correlational method on instructional leadership practices and school performance. To test, the null hypothesis of the study was set at a 0.05 level of significance. Based on the findings of the study, the school administrators exhibit effective instructional leadership within the context of school and instructional leadership, the creation of a student-centered learning climate, and the management of human resources and professional development. However, school performance achieved a highly satisfactory rating, indicating a significant accomplishment in terms of fulfilling the mission and vision, achieving goals and objectives, and demonstrating innovation, creativity, and initiative in modular distance learning. There was no significant relationship between instructional leadership practices and school performance. The foregoing conclusions served as the basis for the following recommendations: DepEd should develop an assessment tool tailored for teachers to evaluate their school administrators regarding instructional leadership practices. And should establish and implement objective systems to assess the contribution of school administrators to the overall effectiveness of school performance.

Employing higher density lower reliability weather data from the Global Historical Climatology Network monitors to generate serially complete weather data for watershed modelling

AbstractHydrological models require complete and accurate weather data time series to represent watershed‐scale responses adequately. The Global Historical Climatology Network (GHCN) is the most comprehensive weather database used in hydrological modelling studies globally. Since higher‐density, lower‐reliability precipitation measurements from private citizens collected by the Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow (CoCoRaHS) network data were integrated into the GHCN, hydrological modellers in the United States have access to a much greater amount of weather data. However, the benefit of using CoCoRaHS data has not been assessed. The objectives of this work were to develop a method for generating a complete weather data time series based on the combination of data from multiple GHCN monitors and to assess several methods for the estimation of missing weather data. Weather data from GHCN monitors located within a specific radius of a watershed were obtained and interpolated using three estimation methods (Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW), Inverse Distance and Elevation Weighting (IDEW) and Closest Station), creating a seamless time series of weather observations. To evaluate the performance of the methodologies, weather data obtained from each estimation method was used to force the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) and Thornthwaite‐Mather models for 21 US Department of Agriculture‐Conservation Effects Assessment Project watersheds in different climate regions to simulate daily streamflow for 2010–2021. Except for three watersheds, all of the SWAT models had Nash‐Sutcliffe Efficiency above 0.5, the ratio of the root mean square error to the standard deviation of observations below 0.7, and percent bias from −25% to 25% with a satisfactory performance rating. IDEW and IDW performed similarly, and the Closest Station method resulted in the poorest streamflow simulation. A comparison with published SWAT model results further corroborated improved model performance using novel combined GHCN data with all Closest Station, IDW and IDEW methods.

Going Global or Staying Local: Determinants of Domestic and International Corporate Bond Issues in the Baltics

In the period 2017-2022, there has been a notable growth in international bond placements by Baltic companies, which is distinct from corporate bond issuance in the European Economic Area. While the Baltic governments have demonstrated an increased focus on the corporate bond market development – the pan-Baltic Capital Markets Union launched in 2017 and covered bond law as adopted in Latvia in 2021, those activities are not directly linked to the ongoing shift to international corporate borrowing. In the academic literature, the determinants affecting corporate bond issuance are getting certain attention while studying separately the country-level determinants and the firm-level determinants, which are further split into domestic and international corporate bond issuance. For the Baltic countries, rare academic research has focused on the corporate bond market development of an individual Baltic country. 
 This paper aims to discover the determinants for domestic and international corporate bond issuance of Baltic companies. While providing theoretical insight into corporate bond issuance rationale for both domestic and international placements, the paper focuses on factors that have contributed to firms choosing to issue bonds internationally. The methods applied in this study are scientific publication analysis, document analysis, expert survey, in-depth interviews, and statistical data analysis. For the statistical analysis, macroeconomic data was acquired from Cbonds, The World Bank, and International Monetary Fund databases in combination with company-specific data gathered from Nasdaq CSD, Orbis, Lursoft, Storybook, and Rekvizitai. The authors have employed a panel regression model for domestic and international bond issuance, and probit regression for all issued bonds in the Baltics from 2003-2022 to estimate the probability of pursuing bond financing internationally.
 The findings of this paper indicate that in the Baltics the main firm-level determinants for domestic corporate bond issuance are the company’s financial performance, its geographic exposure, documentation and listing costs, and access to alternative funding sources; on the country-level, the determinants are the share of sovereign international bonds of GDP, corruption perception, and exports as a share of GDP. For issuing international corporate bonds, the main determinants on the firm-level are bond placement size, company size, equity ratio, a satisfactory credit rating, and appropriate yields in the context of higher competition for international investor attention; on the country-level, GDP per capita, country’s export share, interest rate spread, regulatory quality, and political stability play an important role.

A green organic-inorganic PAbz@ZIF hybrid towards efficient flame-retardant and smoke-suppressive epoxy coatings with enhanced mechanical properties

Developing sustainable bio-based flame retardants for flammable polymers has been a research trend. However, applying bio-based flame retardants to confer excellent flame retardancy, smoke suppression, and mechanical properties to polymers remains a formidable challenge. Herein, a green organic-inorganic hybrid (PAbz@ZIF) was readily prepared through a simple neutralization reaction and in-situ generation method and applied to fabricate high-performance flame-retardant epoxy coatings (EP-PAbz@ZIF). It has been shown that PAbz@ZIF hybrids can enhance the curing activity of epoxy coatings in addition to their excellent dispersibility and interfacial compatibility. In addition, the epoxy coating containing 5.0 wt% PAbz@ZIF (EP-5%PAbz@ZIF) exhibits a higher char yield (from 25.1 wt% to 31.5 wt%) in comparison to pristine epoxy resin (EP). More importantly, the PAbz@ZIF-based epoxy coatings show more efficient flame retardancy and smoke suppression compared to pristine EP. For instance, the 5.0 wt% PAbz@ZIF enables EP-5%PAbz@ZIF to obtain a satisfactory UL-94 rating of V0. Meanwhile, the peak heat release rate, total smoke production, peak CO production rate, and peak CO2 production rate of EP-5%PAbz@ZIF are remarkably decreased by 48.6%, 20.5%, 38.6%, and 56.7%, respectively. Furthermore, EP-5%PAbz@ZIF exhibits enhanced heat insulation performance, flexural strength, and impact strength. This work offers a feasible idea for designing green organic-inorganic PAbz@ZIF hybrids and fabricating high-performance flame-retardant epoxy coatings.

Enhancing silk screen printing through potassium dichromate: A path to quality and competitiveness in the printing industry

Silkscreen printing, a cornerstone of the printing industry, is often considered one of the oldest printing processes, though debate exists regarding whether block printing predates it. In the face of economic challenges, the printing industry must embrace technological advancements to ensure financial stability and foster quality production. Recognizing its potential economic impact, the need for technological enhancement in this field becomes evident. The quest for global competitiveness necessitates achieving production goals. This study explores the viability of utilizing potassium dichromate as a key agent in photographic silk screen printing. The evaluation of finished products involved twenty-five academic practitioners and twenty professional practitioners from diverse institutions and industries in Region VI, Western Visayas, Philippines. The assessment employed a five-point Likert scale, and statistical analysis relied on a t-test for independent sample means with a significance level of 0.5. The findings affirm the acceptability of potassium dichromate in photographic silk screen printing, with a highly satisfactory rating. Notably, it yields high-quality print legibility on t-shirts. To ensure optimal results, this study recommends the use of quality stencils by academic and professional practitioners, screen entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts engaged in silk screen printing. This research opens new avenues for growth and prosperity within the printing industry.

Public Feedback on the Programs and Services of Municipal Health Office of Padada through Sentiment Analysis using Convolutional Neural Network

This project goal is to assist the Municipal Heath Office of Padada in its daily operation in terms of collecting and facilitating data through its client satisfactory survey forms. There are two systems deployed which is the Web portal and Mobile application. Web portal is the medium to assist municipal health office administrators in reviewing the submitted data and its results coming from the clients who are using the mobile application, modification of the existing details of the programs and services and posting important announcements. The mobile application is utilized by the clients, in medium of submission, the clients can receive announcements posted by the administrators for information dissemination, review the programs and services that is being offered in the health office and the easy access on giving its satisfactory rating and comments. The app was created with through Java (React Native Framework) and JavaScript(ReactS, NodeJS) and with Firebase product and its tools. To obtain final feedback and validate whether or not the desired output was successfully materialized, various testing methods were used. Test cases and results were made and disseminated. The findings indicate that the system passed the testing phase and met the users requirements. Moreover, using the Web portal and Mobile Application, these applications provide user with a quick, easy-to-use and efficiently facilitating results from the collected data coming from different users and automated sending of satisfactory rating and comments

Effects of subclinical Theileria orientalis Ikeda genotype infection on average daily gain ratios and a satisfactory rating in the breeding soundness exam in bull test stations in Virginia

Theileria orientalis Ikeda genotype is a tick borne hemoprotozo­an that typically causes economic losses in dairy and beef cattle in Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Acute clinical infections from T. orientalis Ikeda include anemia, icterus, ill-thrift and death. The acute phase of the infection has been associated with decreased libido in dairy bulls, decreased live weight gain in beef bulls and increased mortality in naïve adults and calves. A sequela to acute infections within a herd is persistent sub­clinical infections, which have been associated with decreased mean daily gain in suckling beef calves. In late 2017, T. orienta­lis Ikeda was detected in beef cattle from multiple counties in Virginia and was associated with anemia, weakness, late term abortions and death. As of 2022, T. orientalis Ikeda has been identified in beef cattle in 31 of 95 Virginia counties. Beef pro­duction, typically in naturally bred cow-calf operations, is the second largest agricultural commodity in Virginia. Central bull testing programs for performance evaluation and marketing of beef bulls has existed for over 60 years in Virginia. T. orienta­lis Ikeda was first detected at the Southwest bull test station in 2020 when screened at conclusion of the test. The objective of this study was to determine if subclinical infection with T. ori­entalis Ikeda affected the average daily gain (ADG) ratios of all bulls on test and the achievement of a satisfactory rating of the breeding soundness exam (BSE) for senior bulls.

Measuring the performance of higher education among state universities and colleges in SOX Region, Philippines

As state universities and colleges (SUCs) in the Philippines are confronted by tough competition for limited resources, and to show to government legislators that subsidy on tertiary education meaningfully produces significant returns; thus, they are pressed to undertake continuous improvement for optimum performance. Practically, measuring the performance of SUCs is essential to identify critical issues, make informed decisions, and enhance higher education policies. In this descriptive-evaluative study, the institutional performance was measured using the Fiscal Year 2016 SUC levelling instrument of department of budget management (DBM) and the commission on higher education (CHED), covering four key result areas (KRA): i) Relevance and quality of teaching; ii) Research productivity, iii) Community engagement; and iv) Resources management. Respondents included 217 faculty members and 24 deans from the four SUCs in SOX Region, Philippines. A combination of descriptive and inferential statistics was used in the data analysis. Results indicated that the SUCs fared randomly in the leveling scheme. SUC-Y got excellent performance, while SUC-X tailed at a very satisfactory rating in all areas. Statistical tests showed that SUC-Y was relatively superior to the other SUCs. Moreover, the performance of SUC-W and Z were comparable and found as the lowest in the group. The major issues and challenges affecting institutional performance include multi-tasking or designation of faculty to administrative positions, inadequate laboratory facilities, and limited online modality for laboratory subjects.

Algorithmic Approach to Management of Complications of Permanent Facial Filler: A Saudi Experience.

Twelve participants were presented to the service through emergency or as outpatient from November 2015 to May 2021. Demographic characteristics such as age, sex, date of injection, time of onset, and types of complications were collected. After examination, all cases were managed based on an algorithm established. FACE-Q was used to measure overall satisfaction and psychological well-being. An algorithm to diagnose and manage these patients effectively with high satisfaction rate was established in this study. All participants were non-smoking women, with no known medical comorbidities. The algorithm determined the treatment plan when faced with complications. Results revealed high appearance-related psychosocial distress before surgery, which significantly dropped after surgery. FACE-Q was able to establish evidence of satisfactory rating among patients before and after surgery. This treatment algorithm can guide the surgeon in formulating a suitable plan with less complications and high satisfaction rate.

Innovative marketing strategies had made a lot of improvements in different business industries. Utilization of the internet through various social media platforms and development of software applications have brought ease in promoting and selling products all over the world. However, not all merchants are able to conduct similar practice on due to technological and knowledge gaps. In the province of Romblon, where marble is famous, only few merchants use technology to market since few have resources and knowledge to manage such advancement. To address this, the study aimed to develop an online platform based on the Business-to-Consumers (B2C) hybrid market. Through this, marble marketers could advertise, sell, offer services, and earn profit using basic technological resources, in addition to the earnings in their physical shop. The online market features performance efficiency, functional feasibility, reliability, compatibility, usability, and portability of the system that ensure excellent functional operation and hassle-free services for the users. The system was launched and tested using the ISO/IEC 25010 that the overall result gives a satisfactory rating. Romblon Marble Shopping (RMS) system has been accepted and recommended to be of use by the municipal business marble industry sector as a step through in marble marketing for the province of Romblon.

A Real-world Study of a Calcium Alginate Dressing for Various Wound Etiologies on Clinical Performance, Usability, and Safety

Introduction. Complex wounds require a moist wound healing environment and exudate control. Alginate dressings are highly absorbable and available as sheets for superficial wounds and ropes for deeper wounds. Objective. This study evaluates the real-world performance of a conformable CAD containing mannuronic acid for various wound types. Materials and Methods. The usability and safety of the tested CAD were evaluated in adult patients with various wound types. Further endpoints were clinician satisfaction with dressing application and suitability for wound type and their opinion of the tested CAD compared with other dressings of this type. Results. The study included 83 patients with exuding wounds (42 male [51%]; 41 female [49%]) and a mean age of 74.54 years (SD ± 15.54 years). Thirteen clinicians (76%) (x = 1.24) rated the first CAD application as very easy, 4 (24%) as easy, and 1 (6%) as not easy. The time for dressing application was ranked as very good (x = 1.65) by 8 clinicians (47%), while 7 (41%) rated the time for application as good, and 2 (12%) gave a satisfactory rating. Conclusion. The CAD sheet and rope were safe to use and fit for purpose in wounds of various etiologies. In addition, the dressing was easy to handle and remove, formed a gel faster than other alginates, and outperformed other previous products.
