Peran Dinas Sosial Dalam Menangani Kekerasan Seksual Terhadap Anak Di Kabupaten Nagan Raya

This study aims to determine how the role of the Social Service in dealing with sexual violence against children in Nagan Raya district. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method. The informants in this study amounted to 3 (three) informants. The theory used in this research is role theory with indicators of providing assistance, recovering trauma, as a broker (liaison), as an advocate, as a motivator, and providing legal assistance. The results in this study indicate that the role of social services in dealing with sexual violence in Nagan Raya district has been carried out well. In this study, the obstacles faced by social services in dealing with sexual violence were the lack of budget and the unavailability of safe houses. The Social Service is able to reduce and overcome the negative impacts caused by acts of sexual violence experienced by children such as trauma, inferiority, depression.

Analysis of the Role of Social Services in Handling Homeless Beggars (GEPENG) in Medan City (Case Study of Medan City Social Service)

Poverty is generally caused by the powerlessness of a person at working age, as well as the difficulty of getting a job or termination of employment due to the economic crisis that results in unemployment. Positive and negative impacts seem to be increasingly difficult to avoid in development, so efforts are needed to further develop the positive impacts of development and reduce and anticipate the negative impacts. Homeless beggars are one of the negative impacts of development, especially urban development. Homeless urban beggars are a phenomenon that is starting to be seen as a serious problem, especially with the increasing number of social problems. The problem of homeless beggars is a social phenomenon that cannot be avoided, especially in the city of Medan. The social service is an element of government implementation that is authorized in activities in the social sector. The Social Service carries out the functions of administering government affairs and public services in the fields of social rehabilitation and social protection guarantees, social empowerment and handling the poor. With so many homeless and beggars circulating in the city of Medan, the role of the Social Service is very much needed in overcoming this problem. This study aims to find out how the role of social services in handling homeless and beggars (sprawl) in Medan City. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive method to describe and explain the role of the Social Service in handling homeless people and beggars in the city of Medan.

The Role of Social Services in Poverty Reduction in Medan City

Poverty is one of the social problems that the social service program in Medan wants to overcome. Although poverty alleviation initiatives have been implemented, no evidence is available to explain their success. Regarding the research problem, this research was conducted with the aim of knowing more about the function of the social service of the city of Medan in poverty alleviation. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative focus. Structured interviews, documentation studies of previous studies, relevant papers and literature, and observations were used to collect data and information. As a source of information, social service officers and related sectoral agencies are used. The results of the study indicate that the function of the social service of Medan City in alleviating poverty has not been maximized. This is because the number and quality of human resources are still limited, the budget is still not supported, coordination is still lacking, and the facilities and infrastructure needed for program implementation are still limited. The social service agency must improve program coordination and synergy with relevant agencies in the regions, as well as increase the intensity of discussions with provincial and central social services, based on research findings.

The Role of Social Services in Overcoming Beggars in Medan City

The purpose of this study is to identify the efforts made by the social services agency in dealing with the increasing number of beggars in Medan, as well as the challenges faced in the process. Descriptive qualitative research method is used in this study. Researchers are looking for more information about the steps, problems, and assistance faced by the social service in an effort to curb beggars in the city of Medan. Participant observation, interviews, and documentation were used to collect data. Data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions are part of the data analysis stage. The findings indicate that the social service of the city of Medan has fulfilled the responsibilities of collecting data, monitoring, and fostering beggars. However, there are still some obstacles in its implementation, including the lack of cooperation and the law that prohibits beggars..

Analysis of the Role of Social Services in Improving Community Welfare in Islamic Economic Studies (Case Study at the Office of Social Protection and Social Security in Mandailing Natal Regency)

The Social Service is the implementing element of government affairs in the social sector. The Social Service is led by a Head of Service who is under and responsible to the Regent through the Regional Secretary. The Social Service has the task of assisting in the social sector, including Social Rehabilitation, Social Empowerment, Social Security Protection and Handling the Poor. Along with the many natural and non-natural disasters that occurred in Mandailing Natal, the role of the Social Service is very much needed in order to improve the welfare of the people affected by natural and non-natural disasters. This study aims to determine the role of the Department of Social Affairs in the field of Social Security Protection in improving the welfare of people affected by disasters and non-natural disasters in Mandailing Natal Regency. This study uses qualitative methods and the data used are primary and secondary data. The subject of the research was carried out at the Social Service of Mandailing Natal Regency.

Удовлетворенность граждан пожилого возраста услугами в рамках социальных пакетов долговременного ухода

The purpose of the article is to assess the satisfaction of elderly citizens and people with disabilities in need of care with the services included in the social packages of long-term care. A questionnaire survey was carried out for elderly citizens and disabled people who receive services in outof-home social service departments of integrated social service centers for the population of five districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. The results showed that care services play a key role in social services for these categories of citizens, and should be provided free of charge. The directions for improving the provision of services included in the social packages of long-term care are formulated.

The role of social services in reunified custodial grandfamilies

Social services, including the child welfare system, are often heavily involved in situations where children are returned to the care of their parents, after being raised by their grandparents. While previous research has highlighted custodial grandparents’ service needs and the challenges they experience when accessing services and working with social service professionals, few studies have examined social services in the context of reunifying grandfamilies. Informed by bioecological theory, the aim of this qualitative study was to examine custodial grandmothers’ perceptions of the role of social services in the process of their grandchildren being reunified with a biological parent. Semi-structured, in-depth interviews were conducted with a purposeful sample of 16 custodial grandmothers whose grandchildren had experienced reunification. Findings from a grounded theory analysis revealed grandmothers’ perceptions that having a strong connection with a responsive caseworker facilitated successful reunification, as did ongoing efforts to address the parental issues that resulted in the grandmother assuming a custodial role. Unfortunately, grandmothers also perceived barriers to successful reunification. These included having their perspectives dismissed by caseworkers and judges as well as the child welfare system prioritizing reunification, often to the perceived detriment of their grandchildren. Implications for policy and practice with reunifying grandfamilies are addressed.

THE ROLE OF SOCIAL SERVICE IN CARING FOR THE ELDERLY : A FIELD STUDY IN THE NURSING HOME OF AIN TÉMOUCHENT, ALGERIA

Social service is one of the humanitarian professions, and an important topic, which carries in its folds, handling of many aspects, including, the elderly category and the reality of their livelihood in social care institutions and centers. This phenomenon has emerged in several societies, including the Algerian society. Through this study, we will try to know the role of social service in caring for the elderly residing in social shelters, or what is known as the home for elderly persons, in addition to identify the skills provided by social service owners for the elderly in the care center, and the reality of their life in these centers as well as most of the methods used by social service In helping the elderly, so that the forms were posed as follows: How can the social service play its effective role in caring for the elderly? What are the methods and methods used? From the aforementioned, it must be pointed out that any study cannot be scientific except on the basis of a specific and clear methodological method in order to complete the research. We have relied in our study on two important aspects, one that includes the origins and definitions, principles and characteristics, as well as the theories of social service The second part dealt with the field study, as well as presenting and analyzing the findings

Restrictions on Active Inclusion and the Role of Social Services: The Case of Lithuania

The use of active inclusion (AI) policies is steadily growing worldwide, especially among developed (OECD) countries. This concept is most consistently applied in EU countries, with some countries spending more than 1% of their GDP on the activation policies. This concept is also well-known in the countries of the American continent, where it stands as the basis of the workfare model. The concept of AI is linked to the promotion of social inclusion and participation in the labour market for people of working age experiencing poverty or social exclusion. This article is the second work of the authors analysing the concept of AI and its implementation in Lithuania. The article analyses the content of AI concept, placing more emphasis on the limitations of AI and criticism from the right-wing and the left-wing politicians. The article also examines the issue of social services and their place in the concept of AI. The empirical part of the article analyses different dimensions of social services in Lithuania during the period from 2009 to 2018(9). On the basis of the performed analysis, it is concluded that the availability of enabling services in Lithuania is insufficient, despite the fact that positive changes in the availability and coverage of the above-mentioned services have been observed since 2009.

Modern characteristics of youth as an object and subject in the system of social services

The article highlights the problems that have led to a significant increase in social tension, namely to the population needs increase in social services. It has necessitated a rethinking of the role of social services in the people's lives and changes of the whole system of their providing. Trying to cover especially vulnerable people/groups of the population, such a social demographic group as a youth found itself outside the social services system.
 The purpose of our article is to analyse and characterize the problems, features and trends of modern youth, and the development of effective ways of improvement of the quality of social services of informing and counselling. We used a complex of methods to achieve the established goal: the analysis of scientific literature, normative legal documents to clarify the essence of key concepts of the research; the synthesis, comparison and generalization – for the development of effective ways of improvement of the quality of social services of informing and counselling; the systematic summarizing method – for the formulation of conclusions that are based on the results of the research; the predictive - for the determination of the prospects of improvement of the system of social services of young people in the community.The goal of the system of social services is solving the life problems of individuals or social groups; creating such conditions under which the specified groups will be able to solve their problems on their own, restore lost skills and functions, overcome or minimize the negative consequences of those circumstances that they are not able to overcome on their own through the use of their available resources.Priority is given to developing a strategy for the development of quality youth information policy in Ukraine to meet the information needs of youth.It is determined that youth is the subject of receiving counselling services, which are carried out during the period that is necessary to get out of a difficult life situation and adapt the person, family to the new conditions of the social environment, that are aimed at eliminating/adapting the limitations of livelihood, maintaining social independence, preserving and continuing the social activity of the individual, family.

Social Services in Ethnically Mixed Cities: Street-Level Bureaucracy at the Crossroads of Ethno-National Conflict

There is a paucity of research examining street-level bureaucracy in cities affected by ongoing ethnopolitical conflict. This study addresses this limitation by exploring the work of social workers in the public services of mixed cities in Israel. It shows the interconnection between ambiguous institutional policies, varying workers’ views of the role of social services, and changing discretion patterns. Findings also suggest that episodes of conflict escalation intensify staff ethnic sectarianism, as well as increase workers’ own ethnic biases, which affect the ways in which they act as a liaison between the welfare system and citizens through their use of discretion.

Juvenile Offenders: Suspension of Trial and “Probationary Period”. A Study on Re-Educational Role of Social Service in Italy

The aim of this study is to investigate the institution of the “probationary period” for juvenile offenders in Italy, after the suspension of criminal proceedings. The aim of this alternative measure to detention is to re-educate and resocialise minors who have entered the criminal circuit, avoiding traumatic contact with prison and the reiteration of criminal conduct. The data collection was carried out through the cooperation of the Italian Juvenile Service Offices and the Ministry of Justice. The statistical method used Mathlab R2020b made it possible to process data from 2010 to 2020 to quantify criminal conduct, types and specificity of offences committed by Italian and foreign minors (both male and female), as well as to verify the effectiveness of probation. The positive results exceed 80% and demonstrate the effectiveness of the “probationary period” instrument in the process of re-education and re-socia- lisation of juvenile offenders.

Implementasi Kebijakan Peraturan Bupati Kabupaten Garut No 50 Tahun 2016 Tentang Tupoksi Dinas Sosial Dalam Pembinaan Sosial (Pembinaan Anak Jalanan) di Kabupaten Garut

This research is motivated by the negative impact of street children who carry out their activities on the streets that are disturbing the community in terms of the comfort of life in Garut district, especially in urban areas. Here the role of social services in street children is by fostering street children that make street children be directed and have good creativity, planting life principles and training training that is embedded in the development of street children. The purpose of this study is to find data and information about the population of street children in the district of garut in 2018 amounted to 25 and in 2019 amounted to 65 and how the coaching was carried out by the Garut district social sevice. In addition, the social service that cooperates with the PP Garut regency Satpol always monitors the condition of the street children in the Garut regency, especially in the city, so that the data collection has not been done by the Garut regency office or it can be called street child supervision. Based on the research, it can be concluded that the social service in conducting tupoksi is based on the regent's regulation no 50/2016 on tupoksi on the social development of street children.

The purpose of this study: 1) to determine the Role of the Social Service in Shaping the Life Skill of Street Children in Serang City 2) to find out the Activities carried out by the Social Service in Shaping the Life Skill of street children in the City of Serang 3) to find out the Obstacles experienced by the Social Service in forming Life Skill of street children in Serang City. The method used: descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The instruments used: observation, interviews, and documentation. Research subjects: Serang City Social Service and Street Children in Serang City. The results of this study indicate that the Role of Social Services in Shaping the Life Skill of Street Children in Serang City through self-knowledge, rational thinking skills, social skills, academic skills, and vocational skills provided by social services in training program activities aimed at street children have the skills or abilities, able, and skilled to maintain the survival and development in the future. Activities undertaken by the Social Service in Forming Life Skills of street children: hindering activities and leadership training activities. Barriers experienced by the Social Service in forming Life Skills of street children: internal and external barriers which include internal obstacles in the submission of programs and target participants, external barriers include barriers to screening / blocking street children, it is difficult to change the mindset of street children and parents who are blocking follow-up process in handling street children.

Studying about the family's role in taking care of the elderly in Vietnam today - Through the research in elderly care homes in Ho Chi Minh city

Population aging is the most important trend of the 21st century in the world. Vietnam has officially entered the period of population aging since 2014 with the fastest aging rate. “Population aging” is a noticeable topic in Vietnam today. And in fact, according to many researchers, the number, especially the number of in-depth researches and applicable researches are still limited. Based on the inheriting of precedence researches and the result of my fieldwork study conducted in nursing homes in Ho Chi Minh city, from a new viewpoint, the paper aims to explore the traditional role of elderly care of the family in relationship with using nursing home today. Until now, the traditional family has played the main role in elderly care in Vietnam. In the context of changing society under the impact of urbanization and industrialization today, studying about the traditional role of elderly care of family, the relationship between family and the trend of "socialization" of elderly care, the changes and predicted future trend when compared with Japan, etc. would be necessary. The research result shows that the Vietnamese still have a strong negative attitude toward elderly care homes, and the traditional role of the family of elderly care is still deeply maintained. But at the same time, some basic changes have also confirmed, such as the change in traditional filial piety, the strengthening of the role of social services such as elderly care homes, etc. It can be said that this is the outstanding characteristic of the status of elderly care in Vietnam today. And based on comparing with other countries, the study also shows that in order to find an effective elderly care model in Vietnam, it is necessary to pay much attention to the relationship with the family.

Beyond a Bed: Supportive Connections Forged Between Youth Who Are Couch Hopping and Adult Hosts

“Couch hopping” is generally considered a form of housing instability. Prior research has highlighted the discomfort and, sometimes, dangers associated with couch hopping in late adolescence or young adulthood. However, we postulated that in some cases youth may develop positive longer-term housing arrangements with adults drawn from their existing network. Through in-depth interviews with a diverse group of nine youth (17–23 years) dealing with housing instability and ten adult hosts in rural, suburban and urban areas of a Midwestern state, we sought to explore how youth found adults to stay with, what kind of support they received, as well as the character of the hosting relationships. To our knowledge, this is the first study to interview hosts. Findings suggest that informal hosting arrangements can include support beyond provision of basic housing needs, that hosts sometimes play a social service role, and that youth and hosts often develop family-like ties. Also, youth do not typically initiate: more often peers or other third parties facilitate the arrangement, or the host issues an invitation. These findings challenge the existing narrative of couch hopping as uniformly negative, and suggest that expanding services for youth facing homelessness to support informal hosting arrangements may be warranted.

СОЦИАЛЬНЫЕ УСЛУГИ КАК ИНСТРУМЕНТ СОХРАНЕНИЯ ЧЕЛОВЕЧЕСКОГО КАПИТАЛА СЕЛЬСКИХ ТЕРРИТОРИЙ

The relevance of the study is due to the existence of the problem of excluding a significant proportion of the working-age population from the labor process for reasons of disability, the presence of chronic diseases, alcohol and drug addiction, and care for disabled family members. Losses of human capital for this reason exceed the indicators of migration of the working-age population to cities. The purpose of the article is to obtain a holistic view of the role of social services in preserving the human capital of rural areas. The analysis showed that the Standards and procedures for the provision of medical care and social services do not take into account the specifics of rural areas.
