Implementation of the Ternatenese Language Revitalization Policy as an Identity of North Maluku Culture in Ternate City

This study aims to see how the Ternatenese language revitalization policy is implemented in Ternate City, especially 1). To identify what efforts have been and will be carried out by the Municipal Government of Ternate in revitalizing Ternate Language in Ternate City, and 2). To see how Ternatenese language revitalization occurs through Ternatenese teaching and learning in elementary schools in Ternate City. This study used qualitative research and involved 96 (ninety-six) participants, consisting of three (3) related officials, three (3) community leaders, 15 primary school heads, 15 elementary teachers, and 60 elementary students from four sub-districts in Ternate City. (North Ternate, Central Ternate, South Ternate, and Ternate Island. The research participants were selected by applying the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through face-to-face interviews and relevant documents. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis. Research findings indicate that some Ternatenese language revitalization programs in Ternate City have been and will be carried out by both relevant agencies and schools with several successes, obstacles, and hopes.

A Brief Analysis of the Influencing Factors and Practical Application of Educational Reform in Rural Revitalization -- Taking Rural Women's Political Participation as an Example

Empowering rural women through political participation and educational reform is not only key to revitalizing rural communities, but also unlocking a powerful force for positive change that has been long overlooked. This study aims to investigate the impact of educational reforms and rural revitalization on rural women's political participation barriers in five villages of Guiyang city, China. The research used a quantitative method, and 303 responses were collected. The study found that all of the hypotheses were accepted, except the moderation hypothesis. The study found that educational reforms have a significant impact on rural women's political participation barriers. The findings also indicated that rural revitalization significantly affects rural women's political participation barriers and acts as a mediator and moderator in the relationship between educational reforms and rural women's political participation barriers. The study used a PLS-SEM method to analyze the data, and the independent variable "educational reform" was divided into three sub-variables: education, personal, and governmental. The dependent variable "rural women's political participation barriers" was also divided into three sub-variables: social-cultural barriers, institutional barriers, and barriers related to tools, capacities, and resources. The results of this study have significant implications for policymakers and researchers in the field of rural development and women's political participation. The study highlights the need for continued efforts to improve educational reforms and rural revitalization programs to promote rural women's political participation.

Revitalisasi tongkonan sebagai daya tarik wisata dalam upaya peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat desa wisata Kole Sawangan

The purpose of this study is to analyze and identify strategies through the Tongkonan revitalization program in increasing tourist attractiveness in the Kole Sawangan Tourism Village in a sustainable manner. Sources of data in this study were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the research show that the determination of strategies based on the results of the SWOT analysis in the Kole Sawangan Tourism Village. Determining strategies as much as possible to be able to optimally increase and empower the tourism potential in the Kole Sawangan Tourism Village so that it will encourage an increase in the economic level of the community.

A Grounded Theory Study on the Experiences of University Students Participating in the Ego State Revitalization Program Using Picture Books

본 연구는 그림책을 이용한 자아상태 활성화 프로그램으로써 교류분석이론과 이고그램에 기초하여 대학생들에게 프로그램을 경험하게 한 후 그들의 변화 과정, 내용 그리고 재구성한 의미 등을 근거이론으로 분석하였다. 본 연구는 그림책을 이용하여 대학생들의 자아상태를 활성화한 연구라는 데 의의가 있다. 연구방법으로는 상담 및 심리교육 프로그램 개발 모형(김창대 외 2011)과 자아상태 활성화 기법(김종호, 2010; Dusay, 1977)을 응용하여 프로그램을 개발하였으며 본 프로그램에는 11명이 참여하였고 총 10회기로 구성되었다. 자료분석 결과, 개방코딩에서는 86개의 개념, 21개의 하위 범주, 10개의 범주를 도출하였다. 선택코딩에서는 핵심범주은 [잃어버린 희망을 복원하여 새로운 세계를 꿈꾸는 청춘의 초상]으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 근거하여 논의하였다 마지막으로 대학생들의 자아상태를 활성화할 수 있는 프로그램을 구성에 있어서 Deleuze와 Guattari(2003)가 제시한 되기(becoming), 공동 존재로써의 가능성과 훈련, 불안의 건설적인 응용에 대해 제언하였다.

How the analytical hierarchical process and revitalisation work together: A case study of Poland

Due to the multifaceted nature of the revitalisation process, its evaluation and monitoring, as well as possible comparisons, are complex and difficult to carry out. Evaluation of the revitalisation process currently poses a challenge for all municipalities. The article aims to compare the revitalisation process in the two Polish cities of Toruń and Bydgoszcz. The analysis was based on two financial perspectives: 2007–2015 and 2016–2023. The authors chose a multi-criteria analysis method based on the analytical hierarchical process (AHP) as the main research method. The results show that the Local Revitalisation Programme of the City of Toruń for the years 2007–2015 had the best impact on the revitalisation process. Using the AHP method, we could carry out a multidimensional evaluation of the revitalisation process. Moreover, it allowed us to combine different elements of the evaluation of the revitalisation process and transform them into one synthetic result, ranking each programme in a hierarchy. At the methodological level, the article presents a new approach to conduct research in socio-economic geography, using the tool of multi-criteria analysis derived from the disciplines of economics and management sciences. Until now, the AHP method has not been used in the analysis of the revitalisation process, which confirms the innovative character of the conducted research.

Problems and Challenges Involved in Using Integrated Urban Development Planning Tools. Example of a Development Strategy and Revitalisation Programmes

Polish cities are changing constantly and, in the age of intense socio-economic, environmental and political transformation, they have to cope with many problems and challenges. In order to successfully solve the problems and challenges facing cities, local government units should apply integrated strategic management tools. Development processes (including revitalisation) can be directed using a range of tools. Local authorities responsible for the monitoring of development in territorial self-government units, such as cities, have at their disposal a wide range of development policy instruments and can actively shape development processes. Urban development strategies and revitalisation programmes are among the key tools of integrated management and planning used in Polish cities. They are integrated development programmes covering all aspects of city operations (social, economic, spatial-environmental, and technical). However, putting them in place faces a number of problems and challenges when they are drafted and implemented. Problems and challenges can be divided into three key groups of barriers: systemic barriers, social capital barriers, and information and communication barriers. The purpose of this article is to identify and characterize two key instruments of integrated urban development planning and management (namely, the city development strategy and revitalization program). This paper also attempts to identify the key issues and challenges involved in using tools such as the integrated development strategy and revitalisation programme in urban development management by local authorities.

Gentrifying Force or a Force for Environmental Justice? A National Assessment of Brownfield Redevelopment and Gentrification in the United States from 2006 to 2015

Cities in the United States (U.S.) are increasingly developing sustainability initiatives to improve local economies while addressing environmental concerns. Since 1990, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Brownfield Revitalization Program has encouraged the remediation of postindustrial sites to create new areas for real estate development. However, previous research demonstrates that industrial areas are more likely to be in predominantly poor and racial/ethnic minority communities. A central argument favoring redevelopment is that remediation helps mitigate environmental inequality and achieve environmental justice for aggrieved communities. Still, very little research examines if and how these communities benefit from these changes. This article examines this question by reviewing the related literature and applying insights to a quasi-experimental analysis of brownfield redevelopment’s impact on racial/ethnic composition and income levels of neighborhoods. Publicly available data were acquired from the EPA Cleanups in My Community data portal and the 5-Year American Community Survey—released annually from 2006 to 2015—to examine demographic changes in neighborhoods where brownfield redevelopment occurred. The study implements a difference-in-differences model using two-way fixed effects regression models on a panel data set of 4,740 census tracts in 48 contiguous U.S. states (or Lower 48 states). This study’s findings suggest that wealthier White and Latino populations are more likely to benefit from brownfield redevelopment than Black populations in affected neighborhoods.

Appropriation of Public Space: The case of two distinct squares in Cuiabá-MT

Between 2017 and 2020, the city of Cuiabá-MT carried out a revitalization and construction program for approximately 100 (one hundred) squares. Using it as a temporal and thematic cut, the present study aimed to understand to what extent these squares, through their physical attributes, contributed to their appropriation as a public space. With this intention, the research was placed in a practical nature through a single case study in multiple units of analysis, choosing the city of Cuiabá as a case study, and two squares as distinct units of analysis. Issues such as the meaning of public space and its role in appropriation were addressed in the theoretical review. To this end, an inventory survey of the squares in Cuiabá was carried out before and after the aforementioned intervention program, with subsequent selection of a sample for the two squares. Finally, by carrying out visits to these units, it was observed that the physical attributes and the more centralized insertion in the neighborhoods proved to be appropriation inducers. In addition, the design qualification more suited to the needs of local users revealed higher levels of appropriation, with a greater variety of users.

Evaluation of The Revitalization of Small Medium Industry Centers in Shopping Tourism in Tanggulangin, Kabupaten Sidoarjo

This article aims to analyze the Small and Medium Industry Center Revitalization Program for ICM on Shopping Tourism. The problem with the results of the revitalization program on shopping tourism that has been carried out by the Industry Service Office of Sidoarjo Regency. In order to approach this problem, the theory of Stufflebeam CIPP is used, namely Context, Input, Process, Product. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation techniques and analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study indicate; The context of planning for the ICM Center Revitalization for Shopping Tourism is based on the roadmaps of the Ministry of Industry by revitalizing the ICM Center Area for Shopping Tourism with eight indicators. The implementation input is assisted by the stakeholders; Public Works and Resources originating from the Special Allocation Fund. The evaluation process for the ICM Center Revitalization program on shopping tourism went well and smoothly, although there were several indicators that had not been implemented. Product achievements in the evaluation of the ICM center revitalization program on Shopping Tourism have an impact on the physical changes of the center but the increase in sales is still not felt. This study concludes that there are several indicators that have not been realized.

Pollution Load Capacity in the Downstream Citarum Watershed: 4 years after Citarum Harum Program

Citarum River is one of the strategically valuable rivers in Indonesia, especially on Java Island. Since 2018, the central government has carried out the "Citarum Harum" program to revitalize the river while improving its reputation of Citarum as one of the dirtiest rivers in the world. This study aimed to see the pollution load capacity of the downstream Citarum River 4 years after the revitalization program was implemented. Downstream Citarum Watershed (Karawang Regency) was chosen as the focus of the study site because of the very high risk of contamination. This research was comparing the pollution load capacity of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) in 2022 using Qual2Kw software and 2017 based on the data analyzed by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. River revitalization over the last 4 years has significantly reduced the BOD value in the downstream Citarum Watershed. The success of this revitalization program can be a reference for other watershed management toward environmental improvement using the same scheme. This study is expected to provide updated information on water quality in the downstream Citarum watershed several years after revitalization and provide an overview of the important functions of river revitalization

Collaborative Governance In Implementation Of Sustainable Mangrove Area Revitalization And Conservation Program In Pangkalan Jambi Village, Bukit Batu Distric

Mangrove ecosystems provide many benefits for human life, both directly and indirectly. Mangrove areas have a very vital function because they can hold water from entering the land and also as a barrier to coastal abrasion. The lack of community understanding about mangroves makes them not take care of mangrove forests which have various benefits for coastal ecosystems. The main objective of the Mangrove Area Revitalization and Conservation Program is the preservation of the coastal environment. The risk of environmental damage in coastal areas, namely the abrasion disaster, is a scourge for the residents of Pangkalan Jambi Village. The implementation of the Mangrove Area Conservation and Revitalization program refers to the results of the 2017 Pangkalan Jambi Village Social Mapping, so it is necessary to see how the role of each actor is. Based on these important issues, this study aims to determine how governance collaboration is in implementing the revitalization and conservation program for sustainable mangrove areas. This research uses a qualitative approach. Primary and secondary data were collected using in-depth interviews, observation and documentation techniques. Interviews were conducted with key informants using purposive sampling method. After that, the data were analyzed using N-Vivo 12 to describe, explain and place the data in their respective contexts which will be explained in words through the stages of data reduction. The results show that collaborative governance in the implementation of the revitalization and conservation program of the Bengkalis mangrove area is optimal, which can be seen from the dynamics of collaboration, Collaborative actions, and impacts and adaptations on the collaboration process.

Upscaling Kemampuan Siswa/i untuk Menjadi Wirausahawan Sukses di Era Digital

The facts show that currently the ratio of acceptance of vocational graduates in the industry is still quite low. This is due to the large gap between the skills taught in university and the needs of the industry. For this reason, the Directorate General of Higher Education is promoting the Vocational High School Revitalization program. Yogyakarta State University which has the obligation to organize Community Service as one of the Tri Dharma College welcomes the program and cooperates with SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. The focus of this service is to improve the skills of students at SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta to become entrepreneurs in the digitalization era. For this reason, the author provides training on Positive Mental in Entrepreneurship, Basic Business Marketing, Basic Business Finance, and Content Marketing. The stages of this service activity are carried out through four stages, namely the collaboration stage, the preparation stage, the training implementation stage, and the activity evaluation stage. Evaluation is carried out in two ways, namely (1) evaluation of activities, this is when training activities are carried out; and (2) final evaluation, this is at the end of program implementation.

Transformation of public space utilization by online motorcycle taxi

This study aims to see the transformation of the use of public space by online motorcycle taxi. The use of technology in the concept of online motorcycle taxi makes it different from earlier concept of conventional ojek. Therefore, online motorcycle taxi does not have a designated place to wait for service requests. It makes online motorcycle taxi to make use of pre-existing public spaces as their places to wait or seek for service requests. This case can be seen on one of the main roads in South Jakarta, named St. Prof. DR. Satrio, which is one of the roads included in the revitalization program by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to become a pedestrian public space. This research uses qualitative method with ethnographic approach which data collection process consisted of participatory observation and direct interviews with onsite online motorcycle taxi drivers. The results show the transformation in functional form, which was changed from a green open space as a road divider into pelican sidewalk and public recreation areas. However, the purpose of revitalization is not in line with real condition where the space is used on by certain community (online motorcycle taxi drivers) that do not have designated places.

Lingua Nullius: Indigenous Language Learning and Revitalization as Sites for Settler-Colonial Violence

This article examines the role that Indigenous language learning and use can play in the establishment of false or spurious claims to Indigeneity. These acts of “race shifting” are situated within the political discourse of “Truth and Reconciliation” and serve to enable settlers to situate themselves in positions where, both materially and symbolically, they rely on their claims to “Indigeneity” to take up resources dedicated to Indigenous people. Indigenous language use and language revitalization programs provide tools that can enable these performances of Indigenous identity to become more widely accepted among predominantly settler audiences. We argue that increasing consciousness of the inherently political nature of Indigenous language work – often framed as a move toward language reclamation – must be pushed even further, to consider the possibility that some users are not reclaiming but in fact claiming. These acts of claiming the language function in much the same way as claims to land have within settler colonialism – to dispossess Indigenous people and to disrupt Indigenous sovereignty.

Behavior of Flow of Channel Network of Dadahup Swampy Irrigation Area

Dadahup is a swampy irrigation area that belongs to the Indonesian national development program, namely the food estate project. The food estate project is a revitalization program for the former peatland development to increase national food security. Peatlands located in lowlands (less than +2.00 m above mean sea level) were a significant problem in their land development activities; besides, the land is generally infertile. The peatland development has been discontinuing, and farmers shifted the jobs to another job for a living. In terms of the water-related problems, The Dadahup swampy irrigation area development faces various challenges, some of which are flood inundation during the rainy season and difficulty in irrigating the land during the dry season. This paper evaluates the behavior flow of the channel network using the HEC-RAS software. The irrigation area has a channel network comprising a primary channel, a perimeter channel, and several secondary channels. It also has connections with three main rivers, i.e., the Barito, Mangkatip, and Kapuas Murung Rivers. The simulation results with several scenarios have contributed better understanding of the flow behavior. Further discussion has promoted a proper water management implementation strategy to overcome the inundation issue.

The Digital Conservation and Revitalization of Regional Languages in Nusantara

The purpose of this research is the digitization of regional languages. The form of technology that will be developed is a digital conservation and revitalization program. There are 2 stages in this program: 1) the development stage, namely the development of language learning applications. Inspired by the Duolingo application, the application for learning international languages, the application is the local version by prioritizing the values ​​of local wisdom of the local language being studied. The basic concept of this application is to document regional languages ​​by teaching them. This application is designed to be accessible to anyone who wants to know or learn a certain regional language through a smartphone. The features in this application product will focus on four language skills with tiered levels, each of which is presented in different themes. There will be several choices of regional languages ​​that can be learned, the final target of developing this application is to document all regional languages ​​​​of the archipelago. As an initial project, this program will digitize two regional languages ​​in East Java, namely Javanese and Madurese. 2) socialization, education, and promotion that will be carried out in several forms of activities targeting all communities at all levels. On campus, the target is to form a community that cares about the preservation of regional languages ​​among academics; Among students to grow the importance of preserving regional languages ​​and make applications that will be developed as a reference to support the teaching of regional languages ​​in schools; and society.

Implementation of corporate governance principles to support sustainable development goals in Yogyakarta’s traditional markets

PurposeTraditional market revitalisation is an important policy designed to reduce unfair competition between traditional markets and modern businesses. This study aims to determine, analyse and illustrate the implementation of corporate governance principles so that traditional markets can be revived in accordance with the United Nations’ sustainable development goals (SDGs) program, with specific reference to the Yogyakarta Special Region.Design/methodology/approachThe study relied on primary and secondary data sources. Data were collected through interviews, observations, analysis of documentation and review of the literature. The research was conducted in Yogyakarta Special Region, specifically Bantul Regency, Kranggan Market in Yogyakarta City, Sentolo Market in Kulonprogo Regency, Gentan Market in Sleman Regency and Argosari Market in Gunungkidul Regency. The data were analysed using the qualitative research method and a descriptive approach.FindingsTraditional markets play a vital role in strengthening the national economy and preserving an old culture that reflects local traditions. Good collaboration between parties in the implementation of corporate governance is evident, despite market revitalisation proving to be highly costly. In some places market development has simply resulted in marginalising the old traders who cannot improve their livelihoods. Therefore, the revitalisation program of traditional markets must not only improve the facilities but all aspects of traditional markets.Originality/valueTo the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is an original study based on primary observation, and it has implications for all emerging economies where traditional markets are being replaced by modern markets.

Dynamics between Direct Industrial Real Estate and the Macroeconomy: An Empirical Study of Hong Kong

Pricing of direct industrial real estate (DIRE) has long been under-researched due to the paucity of analysable data. Compared to other types of real estate, DIRE has often been regarded as more inefficient because of information asymmetry amongst market players stemming from a lack of market transparency. Therefore, pricing of DIRE usually does not follow a random walk and should be more predictable than other types of real estate. Along this line of reasoning, this study empirically investigates the causal relationships between the price-to-rent ratio of DIRE and macroeconomic attributes using cointegration and causality techniques. More specifically, we employ data on the market of Hong Kong to investigate the lead-lag relationships between the price-to-rent ratio of DIRE and a wide spectrum of macroeconomic and financial indicators, including inflation, money supply, national income, exchange rates, performance of housing market and other economic indicators specific to the industrial sector. The results of our statistical tests reveal significant evidence that DIRE is generally moving in syncs with other segments of the economy over time in terms of long-term cointegration. Further, DIRE tends to lag behind the overall macroeconomy in terms of Granger causation with the price-to-rent ratio exhibiting varying lengths of time lag with the macroeconomic determinants. The findings of the study carry important implications for informing property valuation practices and industrial land policy, particularly in designing urban revitalization programmes aimed at optimising industrial land use.

This study aims to analyze and describe the effectiveness of the INTAKO Small and Medium Industry revitalization program in Kedensari Village, Tanggulangin District. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Informants are determined by purposive sampling, including the Head of Industry and Industrial Extension Staff, INTAKO Supervisors and Staff, as well as Small and Medium Industry Actors and INTAKO Visitors. Data analysis comes from Miles and Huberman data, namely through data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate the effectiveness of the INTAKO Small and Medium Industry revitalization program in Kedensari Village, Tanggulangin District seen from three indicators, namely the achievement of goals seen from the period of completion of the program in line with the legal basis, namely the Regulation of the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia Number 09/M-IND/PER/2/ 2016 concerning Technical Guidelines for the Use of Special Allocation Funds for the Development of Industrial Facilities for the 2016 Fiscal Year, however, it is necessary to realize the program in accordance with the action plans that have been made previously. The target of the revitalization program is Tanggulangin integrated tourism or 3 in 1 tourism. Integration is seen from the communication ability of the program seen with the Industry and Trade Office of Sidoarjo Regency socializing the program in 2017 and the ability to understand the program is seen from the people who understand the program by maintaining the existing infrastructure facilities. revitalized. Adaptation is done by increasing human resources through workshops and online sales training and the need for online marketing training. Then the adaptation of infrastructure is seen from the improvement of infrastructure facilities in the revitalization program but the need to improve infrastructure specifically in the INTAKO Cooperative showroom in Kedensari Village.
