INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION AS A MULTIDIMENSIONAL INTERETHNIC INTERACTION (SIMILARITIES AND DIFFERENCES)

The article discusses the problems that arise in the process of intercultural interaction with Russian speakers. The research focuses on the influence of cultural values, stereotypes and ethnocentrism on sociopragmatic aspects of communication. Special attention is paid to how understanding these factors contributes to the successful resolution of intercultural conflicts and the establishment of effective interaction between cultural groups. In the context of globalization and international interdependence, such knowledge is becoming especially important. Challenges faced by participants in the dialogue between Russian speakers and representatives of other cultures. This is due to the norms of behavior and ways of expressing thoughts and emotions, which can lead to misunderstandings. Knowing and understanding these differences is the key to successful intercultural interaction. Successful intercultural interaction requires not only knowledge and understanding of other cultures, but also the ability to adapt one's communication style to different cultural contexts. The purpose of the article is to identify and reflect the features of intercultural communication that can help reduce tension in the process of interethnic and interpersonal communication. Such an analysis and description of the problem under study and the use of methods of theoretical description, comparison, etc. They contributed to the identification of the theoretical significance and practical value of the topic of scientific research. The paper focuses on the need for continuous training and improvement of intercultural communication skills for successful interaction in a global community, which is possible primarily with the psycholinguistic flexibility of the communicants, their tolerance and openness, which forms knowledge, skills and linguistic communication skills.

Ethnic culture in urban space: a theoretical review

Relevance. Cities are centers of attraction for people of different nationalities and cultures. In the context of urbanization and globalization, various ethnic cultures interact, which leads to their transformation. The study of ethnic culture in urban space makes it possible to understand how culture changes under the influence of new living conditions, which is especially important for the formation of intercultural relations and tolerant attitude towards representatives of other cultures and nationalities.The purpose is to analyze theoretical studies of ethnic culture in urban space, including issues of tolerance, identity, and urban mentality.Objectives: to consider the elements of ethnic culture; to analyze the connection between ethnic culture and urban space; to determine how identity manifests itself in urban space; to characterize cultural ethnic practices in urban space; to characterize the visual artifacts of ethnicity in urban space.Methodology. The socio-cultural paradigm of studying urban space was used as the methodological basis of the study. The authors also applied general scientific methods: analysis, comparison, generalization.Results. A theoretical analysis of the developments of domestic authors on the topic of manifestations of ethnic culture in urban space, including aspects of national symbols, architecture, mentality, identity, tolerance, is carried out.Conclusions. Ethnic culture in urban space is a complex phenomenon encompassing socio-cultural and ethnodemographic aspects of urban community life. It finds expression in architecture, cultural practices of events, ornaments, everyday life, and the media. Today, despite the unification of everyday life and lifestyle, there are trends towards strengthening national identity, preserving national identity and cultural traditions, in particular through elements of urban public spaces.

Emotional and psychological aspect of cross-cultural communication with the Japanese

This article is devoted to the problem of developing communicative competencies to create an emotional atmosphere of communication with the Japanese based on the understanding of mentality and socio-psychological intelligence corresponding to specific goals and situations. The purpose of the article is to systematize the intra-communicative features of communication in Japanese society, the consideration and study of which are important from the point of view of regulating inter-communication at the intercultural level. The novelty of the study lies in determining the influence of the emotional and psychological aspects of the extralinguistic component of communicative competence on the overall effectiveness of business communication with the Japanese. Changes in the socio-economic situation inside and outside Japan have a direct impact on the transformation of the system of relationships between the Japanese and representatives of other cultures, which is reflected in the linguistic sphere. The relevance of the material lies in the need to expand the knowledge base in the field of the Japanese language and culture (hard skill) through the ability to build adequate relationships in dialogue with a partner (soft skills), based on the understanding of the peculiarities of his mentality and allowing to increase the effectiveness of contacts with representatives of the Japanese side. When working on the article, general scientific methods were used − analysis and synthesis of scientific and educational literature, as well as media resources on this topic, synthesis and classification of the results obtained. The main objectives of the article were to highlight the emotional and psychological components of extralinguistic competence that influence positive communication with the Japanese; determine which factors may be regarded negatively and slow down the communication process; find out what the Japanese understand by communicative distancing and how important it is to observe it in Japanese society. As a result of working with the material, the main emotional and psychological fields of interaction during intra-communicative communication of the Japanese were identified and analyzed and conclusions were drawn about the spread of these fields in the conditions of a changing socio-economic situation to the inter-communicative sphere. The article concludes that for effective communication in Japanese, in addition to language skills, speech skills and knowledge of cultural traditions, it is necessary to take into account the features of emotional and psychological concepts that influence the creation of positive intentions for dialogue: 共感 stimulating communication, 違和感 making communication difficult, 距離感 amenable to regulation for communicative purposes. The results and conclusions of the article can be practically used in the educational process when developing situational exercises and conducting role-playing games based on textbooks and teaching aids on oral communication in Japanese.

FEATURES OF THE FORMATION FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF MASTER'S STUDENTS OF A LANGUAGE UNIVERSITY

This article discusses the methodology for developing foreign language professional competence of under-graduates in the educational program ―Training of teachers in a foreign language.‖ At the present stage, with the entry of the Republic of Kazakhstan into the global educational space, there is a need for highly trained personnel and specialists of the 21st century. The formation of foreign language professional competence contributes to the development of intercultural communicative competence among undergraduates, adapting them to different cultural contexts. The implementation of the competency-based approach, as one of the relevant approaches in education of the 21st century, and the cognitive approach, as the leading one in foreign language education, lead tohigh-quality final results and the formation of foreign language professional competence of future foreign language teachers. This article describes the results of applying the course ―Modern methodology of foreign language education in higher institutions‖.The aim of the course is to provide the necessary qualitative training of future foreign language teachers so that they can successfully realize in their pedagogical practice the main goal of foreign language teaching -the development of interculturalcommunicative competence of individuals. This is based on the principles and methods of foreign language education, which contribute to the formation of graduate students' ability to effectively communicate and interact with representatives of other cultures.

Inclusive management in a diversified cultural environment

The aim of this article is to diagnose the level of inclusion in the management of representatives of other cultures. This article introduces the idea of inclusive management, develops a model of inclusive management of an organisation in a cultural aspect, and applies the Inclusive Management Scale – an original research tool which can be used to diagnose the level of inclusion in management in the following dimensions: cognitive, affective and behavioural, and enables precise indication of strengths and weaknesses in a given area. The results of research conducted in 452 organisations based in Poland are presented. The research shows that Polish managers, with regard to the behavioural and affective dimensions, are at the first level of ethnorelativism. It should be noted that they tend to accept representatives of other cultures and undertake cooperation in spite of differences but do not have sufficient knowledge and determination on how to manage in a fully inclusive manner. Their knowledge of how to adapt and integrate foreigners should be improved. On a cognitive level, they are in a transitional phase between ethnocentric and ethnorelativist approaches to managing culturally different people. It has also been observed that managers of large organisations are more willing and better prepared to manage inclusively than managers of smaller entities.

Emotional-value experience of Russian, Chinese and Armenian Students in conditions of cultural diversity

The relevance of the research is due to the expanding migration flows including academic ones and the problem of adaptation in a new cultural environment. The purpose of the article is to determine the emotional and value attitude of students from Russia, China and Armenia towards representatives of other cultures. The problem of intercultural relationships is one of the important in higher education didactics and should be included in programs developing soft skills. The research hypothesis is that intercultural relationships may vary depending on the dominant culture. The methodological basis of the research is the provisions of the economy of experience. The data obtained are based on a survey of students and subsequent statistical processing. The results of the research can be used in the formation of adaptation programs, content, in particular, in such subjects as “Foreign language” and “Intercultural Communication”, contributing to the development of intercultural communicative sensitivity y(competence) towards representatives of other cultures.

Development of communicative competence of students studying ecology

In the context of modernisation of national education and the priority of professional competences possession, a high level of communicative skills of future environmental engineers ensures the graduate’s readiness to adapt to practical engineering activities in constantly changing conditions. An important component of the future environmental engineer’s professional readiness is their foreign language professionally oriented communicative competence, which implies the graduate’s communication skills in oral and written forms in a foreign language to solve professionally oriented tasks. The urgent necessity of forming this competence in the structure of engineers’ professional competence is conditioned by the integration of the national technological sector into the world economy, the need to meet modern requirements to the quality of engineers’ training and the level of their foreign-language professionally orientated communicative competence. The article substantiates the necessity of formation of future engineers’ foreign-language professionally orientated communicative competence. The aspects of formation of engineers’ foreign language communicative competence as a necessary component in the structure of integrative characteristic of professional competence of a specialist, which allows communication with representatives of other cultures at the international level, are considered. The practical significance of the research lies in the fact that the methods of enhancing communicative competence in foreign language classes described in the article can be used in pedagogical activities to improve the educational process in the field of linguistics and in the field of theory and methodology of teaching foreign language to environmental students.

Wanting the Unwanted

Cultural heritage is one of the most important aspects of our history and identity. It is a treasure passed down from generation to generation that shapes our view of the world and influences our daily lives. We admire with pride what our ancestors built, we observe with curiosity what the representatives of other cultures have built – we try to understand each other, sometimes fascinated we find our origins in the elements of our own heritage so we begin to understand some of the emotions, the reflexes, the sense of beauty. All these elements breathe goodness, set us creatively and positively towards our surroundings, and yet they do not exhaust the forms in which we come into contact with the past we have come to share. There are also elements that we would not like to see, that our compatriots or fellow citizens did not want to see either. Objects which became traces of a tragedy inflicted on a supra-individual scale – on communities or nation. We treat unwanted heritage as ‘ballast’ or ‘burden’ that represents a unique challenge for many communities. This heritage, which arose from circumstances beyond our control, can affect our lives in a variety of ways. While many of its elements are in material form, visible in space, its impact manifests itself primarily on an emotional level. This kind of legacy may require time and effort to understand and work through, in order to avoid transmitting these problems to future generations (Schulberg 1997, 324). It is also possible to adopt an attitude that tells us to get rid of forcibly imposed elements that remind us of a past marked by suffering or freedom deprivation. To remove and build anew, without the burden of trauma, without complexes and thorns. However, this is not always possible. For many people, struggling with such a legacy can be difficult, but at the same time it can be an opportunity for learning and personal growth. It is worth emphasising that whatever unwanted legacy we inherit, we are in control of how we react to it and the steps we take to influence our lives and the lives of future generations.

DEVELOPMENT OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE IN BUSINESS ENGLISH CLASSES

To successfully function in international business environments, students should be equipped with knowledge and skills of how to efficiently cooperate with representatives of other cultures. The present study aims to address the development of intercultural communicative competence in foreign language classes. The authors assert that the definition of «intercultural communicative competence» requires a more standard approach. This research is relevant since the literature review revealed a need for more research to explain the ways of developing intercultural communicative competence in Business English classes. The paper elaborates on the issue of developing intercultural communicative competence among non‐language major students in Business English classes. The paper's primary focus is the course program of The Business English elective course targeting fourth‐year students majoring in international relations, social communications, and regional studies at West Ukrainian National University. The course seeks to integrate the development of intercultural communicative competence into foreign language classes by employing interactive activities, such as role‐playing games, group projects, problem‐solving, group discussions, presentations, and participation in a final training session. The authors emphasize the importance of individual work for effective mastery of the material and developing intercultural communicative competence in classes. The authors apply the elements of the «flipped classroom» teaching principle, wherein students are expected to study a significant part of the material outside of class to apply the knowledge and develop intercultural communicative competence in the classroom. The prospects for further research include studying students' perceptions of the efficiency of various intercultural communicative competence development activities and investigating the impact of intercultural communicative competence on graduates` employment.

Interaction of Cultural Components in the Musical Art of China in the Context of Globalisation Influences

The purpose of the article is to analyse the interaction of Chinese and global elements in music and to highlight how Chinese actively construct their identity through musical discourse. The research employs methods of literary source analysis, conceptual analysis, and methods of cultural analysis to reveal the role of music in the construction of cultural identity. Special attention is given to the analysis of cultural transformations, dynamics of interaction between Chinese and global cultural elements in the field of musical art. The scientific novelty lies in studying the interaction of different cultural components in the musical context of China in the conditions of globalisation. Conclusions. The research results allow us to define the role of music in the formation and preservation of cultural identity in the conditions of variability and cultural interaction. Understanding the essence of music and studying the achievements of their predecessors, the Chinese community employs historically and culturally rooted ideologies and practices to guide their musical discourse. It is argued that Chinese music can acoustically express their national identity, even if the sounds include elements that have external origins or are associated with other cultures. Music emerges as a platform where different nationalities can effectively communicate both among themselves and with representatives of other cultures, expressing their personal and authentic identity.

VALUABLE ASPECTS OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION IN THE PROCESS OF LEARNING FOREIGN LANGUAGES

This article considers an important aspect of modern education – intercultural competence and its influence on the formation of the professional orientation of future foreign language specialists. In the context of growing globalization and cultural diversity, knowledge of foreign languages has ceased to be just a skill but has become a necessary tool for successful communication and work in an international environment.
 Intercultural competence is defined as the ability to understand and interact with representatives of other cultures. It involves not only knowing the language, but also understanding the cultural features, values, norms and traditions of other peoples. This article examines the influence of intercultural competence on the professional orientation of future foreign language specialists.
 We will consider aspects such as cultural understanding, tolerance, the ability to adapt to different cultural contexts and to communicate effectively with representatives of different nationalities. It is noted that intercultural competence plays an important role in building successful intercultural relations, promotes the development of creativity and innovation.
 The relevance of the study of the valuable aspects of intercultural communication in the process of learning foreign languages is that in the modern globalized world, interaction with representatives of other cultures becomes a necessity. The study of foreign languages is becoming an important component of education, and foreign language professionals have a great responsibility in promoting effective communication between cultures. Value orientations influence perception, way of thinking, communication strategies and behavior. Understanding and awareness of values help foreign language specialists establish mutual understanding, avoid conflicts, and create a favorable atmosphere for interaction. The study of this problem helps to improve approaches to teaching foreign languages and to develop effective strategies for the formation of intercultural competence in students and future foreign language specialists.
 The growth of international relations brings with it various challenges, but also opens up many new opportunities for future foreign language specialists. Thanks to intercultural competence, they will be able to expand their horizons, build a successful career in a global environment and contribute to the development of global cooperation.

CULTURAL DIFFERENCES INFLUENCE ON LITERARY TRANSLATION

Objective. The objective of the article is to study the components of the influence of cultural differences on literary translation; analyze the problems that arise when translating culturally specific elements and propose methods and strategies used to achieve accuracy and adequacy of literary translation. Methods. The main scientific results are obtained with the help of such methods as the analysis and generalization of scientific and educational and methodological literature on the problems of literary translation; system analysis; combination of cultural and logical methods in research; separation of subsystems of complex objects and their systematic analysis, an integral approach to the study of linguistic phenomena. Results. Based on the latest research, the article provides new ideas and approaches to solving problems related to the rendering of cultural differences in the process of fiction texts translation. The authors emphasize the importance of the dissemination of literary works among the representatives of other cultures, namely: transfer of cultural heritage; increasing the level of intercultural understanding; expanding the audience of recipients; preservation of literary value. Cultural differences require a translator to have a deep understanding and sensitivity to different aspects of culture. This allows us to preserve and transmit not only the linguistic content, but also the wealth of cultural heritage, which is an integral part of artistic works. Therefore, understanding cultural characteristics and context is important for accurate and adequate translation of literary works. The following requirements for this type of translation are noted: accuracy of the transfer of values; adaptation of the cultural context; transfer of nuances and styles; respect for cultural identity. Considerable attention is paid to methods and strategies used to convey cultural information in translation: selection of equivalent cultural elements; explanation and adaptation; specification and generalization; localization; contextual translation. The authors conclude that modern trends and challenges in literary translation require translators to take into account cultural differences, intercultural collaboration, use of new media and the development of cultural sensitivity.

Teaching intercultural communication to medical undergraduate students: a pilot study

Introduction. The globalization influences the education system, and medical education is not an exception. Along with general communication skills medical undergraduate students should demonstrate their competence in intercultural communication. The aim of the study was to implement an elective course “Intercultural Communication” in the Russian medical school and validate an adapted questionnaire to evaluate the effectiveness of teaching the course for the development of cultural awareness of students as a component of the intercultural competence. Materials and Methods. The course “Intercultural Communication” developed and implemented in the medical school included four major topics: the basics of intercultural communication; the culture and communication; the language and culture; the intercultural communication in Medicine. The adapted questionnaire to evaluate the changes in cultural awareness of students was filled in by them before and after the course studying. The questionnaire included the following parts: demographics; questions to assess attitudes towards cultural diversity; Bogardus-type questions; feedback on the questionnaire. The study results were evaluated using the descriptive and statistical analysis methods. Results. Out of 149 students, 125 (83,9%) completed the questionnaire both before and after studying the course. Statistically significant changes in students’ responses were attributed to three questions devoted to attitudes towards cultural diversity. No statistically significant changes were identified in responses to Bogardus-type questions. The majority of students (84%) commented that the questionnaire had made them think about cultural diversity and intercultural differences. Conclusion. The study showed that students’ cultural awareness changed to more positive attitude towards representatives of other cultures taking into account cultural diversity in the society including the healthcare field. However, further development of objective tools to assess the intercultural competence of students and improvement of methods to teach intercultural communication to medical and pharmaceutical undergraduate students are needed.

INTERDISCIPLINARY ANALYSIS OF THE AGE CHARACTERISTICS OF TEENAGERS IN THE CONTEXT OF INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION

The article substantiates the relevance of the problem of forming teenagers' readiness for intercultural communication in the age context from the point of view of interdisciplinary analysis. The reasons for the relevance of studying such issues are indicated: communication with representatives of other cultures, implementation of academic, professional or personal mobility. The purpose of the presented research is to do the interdisciplinary analysis of the age characteristics of teenagers` in the context of intercultural communication from pedagogical, social, psychological, physiological and axiological aspects. Analysis and systematization of scientific literature, classification, generalization were chosen as the leading methods. Positions are presented that are fundamental in the context of the research problem, namely: 1) the process of their socialization has a strong influence on teenagers, primarily in their own environment; 2) a person's life motivation begins to form at the teenager`s age; 3) taking into account the capabilities of the teenager`s body and giving feasible tasks. It was found that in order to engage all students at the lesson, it is desirable to use interactive collective learning methods that allow the teacher to establish emotional and intellectual relationships with teenagers aimed at achieving joint success. The variability of modern methods and technologies, which involve the use of technological, software and technical means, is revealed, namely: training methods, interactive collective learning methods, web quests, project methods, role-playing games, dialogue technologies, simulation and interactive modeling methods. It is noted that the indicated methods and technologies of forming teenagers' readiness for intercultural communication ensure awareness of their own cultural identity, interest and respect for universal and national cultural values.

INTERLINGUAL AND INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION IN THE EDUCATION OF MODERN GERMANISTS

The article is devoted to interlingual and intercultural communication in the training of specialists in Germanic philology. The relevance of the research is conditioned by the search for effective ways of training modern professionals in the field of Germanic Studies. The aim of the article is to substantiate the necessity of revising the content of foreign language education with a focus on linguistics and intercultural communication. Intercultural communication is interpreted as a complete mutual understanding between two participants in a communication act who belong to different national cultures. The authors point out that in intercultural communication, it is not the culture that comes into contact, but the person who is the representative and mediator of intercultural interaction, i.e. intercultural communication is the relationship that develops between people from different cultures in situations of language interaction. Cultural competence is considered to be the most important element of communicative competence necessary for cultural dialogue, which means tolerance in all situations of communication, the ability to choose the right tone in communicating with representatives of other cultures, appropriate communication strategies and forms of self-presentation. The authors considered the condition of effective intercultural communication from linguistic and extralinguistic points of view. The article concludes that it is necessary to jointly study language as a system of symbols and a tool for communication and culture as a system of values, worldview and behavior of native speakers. The authors of the article suggest introducing such disciplines as «Linguocultural studies» and «Ethnolinguistics» into the curriculum of Germanist training. It is proposed to use macrosociological, microsociological, anthropological, tourism, and educational approaches in the teaching of these disciplines.

THEORETICAL PREREQUISITES FOR FORMING INTERCULTURAL COMPETENCE OF FUTURE OFFICERS OF COMBAT AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

The article defines the essence of the concepts of language and culture, which are important for the process of intercultural communication of combat and operational support specialists, as well as for the process of forming their intercultural competence. Language performs an expressive function and is a universal means for expressing the inner world of a person. Culture preserves certain values and depends on the interpretation of the environment by the participants of communication. Based on the studies of prominent scientists an analysis of theories of language communication, speech acts (the operations that provide them and their main classes) and speech genres (in particular, its linguistic essence and nature). The theory of linguistic personality (its main varieties) and the theory of dialogue of cultures are reflected. The totality of these theories forms the basis for the process of forming intercultural competence in the mentioned specialists. Intercultural competence of future combat and operational support specialists is defined as a set of knowledge abilities and skills that help future military specialists to effectively conduct their professional activities and freely communicate with partners of other cultures under conditions of international integration and mutual understanding and respect. The components of intercultural competence of future specialists of combat operational support appropriate knowledge, abilities, skills, namely: language knowledge: a)lexical, grammar, spelling; multicultural knowledge; knowledge of verbal and nonverbal, communicative rules of behavior; cognitive knowledge and skills; ability to dialogue with representatives of other cultures; ability to control their actions in communication, in particular, the ability to overcome fear; the ability to observe the rules of etiquette.

Peculiarities of Intercultural Interaction in the Early Iron Age in the Surgut Ob River Region (by materials of the ceramics of the settlement Barsova Gora III/66)

The article presents the results of technical and technological analysis of ceramics from the settlement of the Beloyarka culture Barsova Gora III/66. There are three groups of pottery. Group 1 includes ceramics of the Beloyarka culture. It is characterized by the use of low-sand ferruginous natural clays, possibly pre-treated. The main forming mass recipe is unmixed: clay + chamotte. Group 2 includes pottery of a mixed appearance with an admixture of grit. It could have been made in the settlement by potters with mixed pottery skills, which were formed as a result of integration (possibly marriage) contacts between the bearers of the Beloyarka culture and the bearers of other pottery traditions, probably the Kulma and Itkul cultures. Group 3 includes an imported vessel with an artificial addition of metallurgical slag. It reflects the contacts of the Beloyarka population of Barsova Gora with groups of other cultures, from whom a metal could be imported for the production of various items. The selected groups may reflect active integration processes and intercultural contacts between the bearers of the Beloyarka culture on Barsova Gora and representatives of other cultures. These links could be both trade and exchange in nature, when the Beloyarka people imported metal for the production of items, and marriage, when some carriers of pottery traditions found their way to the Beloyarka settlements, as a result of which there was a mixture of skills in technology, shaping and ornamentation of ceramics.

Formation of Tolerance in Foreign Language Learning through the Study of Media Texts

The article is devoted to a topical issue in modern methods of foreign language teaching at university, i.e. the development of critical thinking among students within the framework of the subject “Media Languageˮ. The authors present an analysis of the views of Russian and foreign researchers on such concepts as critical tolerance, cultural identity, cross-cultural competence, etc. Students of linguistic areas of training today experience particular difficulties in overcoming language and cultural barriers when analyzing information from foreign-language media. The study substantiates the ways in which the teacher organizes the student's cognitive activity in practical foreign language classes, which helps to gain experience in working with a foreign-language journalistic text in the conditions of intolerant behavior of foreign-language media in relation to Russia. The article summarizes the practical experience of teachers and proposes an algorithm of text analysis, consisting of several steps. This type of work involves the analysis of the text in accordance with certain tactical guidelines, which allows you to formulate your own point of view according to a given speech situation. The authors give proof of the educational value of this algorithm of work, underlining that such approach to learning helps to form a tolerant position towards representatives of other cultures and the skill of respectful dialogue within a multicultural community.

The article presents the author’s vision of the problem of forming the civic identity of students of higher pedagogical education in the process of practical psychological and pedagogical training. The stated problem is considered in the context of globalization challenges. The research was carried out based on systemic, synergistic and technological approaches at the interdisciplinary level. Scientific research was conducted based on the principles of: comprehensiveness, mutual responsibility of the state and participants in the educational process. The methods of analysis (historical-pedagogical, systemic, survey-analytical), generalization were applied – to determine the state of scientific development of the problem, substantiation of the theoretical basis of the research, content analysis is of current regulatory documents, comparison and heuristic forecasting – to substantiate the conclusions. The key concept in this study is considered by the author to be a permanent awareness by a citizen of Ukraine of his political and legal connection with the Ukrainian people and civil society. Indicators of civic identity, based on the research materials, can be: a sense of pride for one’s Motherland, readiness and desire to live and work in a certain political and legal field, understanding of national and European values. Among such values, state symbols are identified as primary. Also, indicators of civic identity include active social and political life, in-depth understanding of legal education and legal awareness, ecology of thinking and life, tolerant attitude to the values and beliefs of representatives of other cultures, as well as to regional and national-linguistic features, readiness to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. The article defines the globalization challenge of the formation of civic identity as follows: prevention of situations of viewing the world only through the eyes of one’s own culture. This multifaceted challenge can be overcome with the resources of cultural socialization of youth, in particular in network communication, support and continuation of national traditions, personalization of educational influences. The prospect of further development of the topic is the disclosure of the practices of cooperation of institutions of higher pedagogical education of Ukraine and other countries of the world in the direction of the formation of active citizenship, the development of a system of common traditions and activities.

REFLECTION OF THE CULTURAL-NATIONAL SPECIFICITY ANTHROPONYMS AND TOPONYMS OF KAZAKHSTAN IN THE CONTEXT OF FORMATION OF A MULTICULTURAL PERSONALITY

The article examines the role of national specificity of anthroponyms and toponyms in the formation of a multicultural personality. It is known that language preserves culture and passes it on from generation to generation, therefore it plays a significant role in the formation of personality, national character, ethnic community, people, nation. The purpose of the article is to identify the reflection of culture in gaps: using the example of Kazakh anthroponyms and toponyms, which have great potential in the formation of a multicultural (secondary) linguistic personality. Knowledge of the lacunae of a linguistic personality allows you to expand your understanding of the world and better understand the behavior of representatives of other cultures. According to scientists, the culture of the people is clearly reflected in anthroponyms and toponyms that represent the linguistic picture of the world, as well as preserving ethnocultural information in their foundations, which is evidence It’s about the peculiarities of the worldview, worldview, and worldview of the people. In the theoretical part of the article, the research of Yu.N. Karaylov, L.P. Klobukova, V.V. Krasnykh, A.I. Izotov on the formation of a linguistic personality is examined in detail; in the practical part, an analysis is made of the works of the Kazakh scientist T. Dzhanuzakov on the role of names own in cultural and national specifics. The article makes an analysis, compares previously expressed opinions about the meaning of proper names in national-cultural specifics, that the names of people and toponyms are a large component of the ethnic group, representing the way of life, beliefs, historical events, culture of the people, which are an integral part linguistic picture of the world, more Moreover, they directly reflect the historical course of events.
