Abstract

The relevance of the research is due to the expanding migration flows including academic ones and the problem of adaptation in a new cultural environment. The purpose of the article is to determine the emotional and value attitude of students from Russia, China and Armenia towards representatives of other cultures. The problem of intercultural relationships is one of the important in higher education didactics and should be included in programs developing soft skills. The research hypothesis is that intercultural relationships may vary depending on the dominant culture. The methodological basis of the research is the provisions of the economy of experience. The data obtained are based on a survey of students and subsequent statistical processing. The results of the research can be used in the formation of adaptation programs, content, in particular, in such subjects as “Foreign language” and “Intercultural Communication”, contributing to the development of intercultural communicative sensitivity y(competence) towards representatives of other cultures.
