The ways to improve the facade architecture of 1970s typical residential buildings

A significant part of the 1970s housing stock of large cities of the Russian Federation is in need of renovation. However, there is no renovation programme for the 9-storey panel housing stock, unlike the 5-storey housing stock, which is now being developed in Moscow. It is proposed to solve the problem of modernisation of facades of typical residential buildings without resettlement of tenants by minimal architectural means, which can contribute to the formation of a favourable modern urban environment in these old quarters. Possible solutions are offered on the basis of modern and historical world experience in panel house-building.

Lightweight Plastering Compound Using Volcanic Tuff

Lightweight reinforced plaster coatings include a group of special types of textile concrete, which also includes concrete sheets, reinforced plaster coatings, including lightweight and heat-insulating ones. The basis for any type of textile concrete is a modified binder, the formulation of which is currently being developed by foreign and domestic research centers. active mineral additives (both natural and by-products of other industries) can be used in the binder, and it is also possible to use construction waste prepared accordingly. Development of the scientific basis for selecting the composition and the formation of a methodology for selecting the composition of the modified binder as the main component of textile concrete, including the use of finely ground construction waste obtained during the dismantling of construction projects, including within the framework of the housing renovation program. The purpose of the research outlined in the article was to develop a methodology for selecting the composition of the binder, predicting the properties and optimizing light plaster coatings based on a modified hydraulic binder, volcanic tuff and construction waste. The use of a composite binder will expand the possibilities of using these materials, and the introduction of finely ground waste will reduce the consumption of Portland cement clinker, which also increases the energy efficiency of such materials.

The construction of the Gebrak Pakumis House is part of the commitment of the Tangerang Regency Government which is managed by the Tangerang Regency Housing and Settlement Service in the renovation program for uninhabitable houses belonging to poor residents. The Uninhabitable House Rehabilitation Activity involves builders who will carry out house construction activities. The builders still have high hopes that this Uninhabitable House Rehabilitation Activity can fully assist in renovating uninhabitable houses into habitable houses that meet the requirements. Location of outreach activities Providing information to builders about the implementation of Rehabilitation construction for Uninhabitable Houses. Preparation method, coordination, identification and verification of residents' houses included in the list of potential aid recipients (CPB), making planning drawings, socializing craftsmen, discussions. In socialization activities, more time is needed because many craftsmen still have minimal understanding of construction, although some craftsmen already have quite a lot of experience. As a result of this socialization, craftsmen understand more about implementation drawings, which in previous activities relied on experience. With the results obtained from this socialization, craftsmen need technical guidance to increase the knowledge and competence of craftsmen to ensure the implementation of Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1 of 2023

Calculation of the Deadlines for the Implementation of Key Measures of the Moscow Housing Stock Renovation Program

To ensure the deadlines for the implementation of the Moscow housing stock renovation program, it is fundamentally important to use an up-to-date model for the implementation of the program. The presented article is devoted to the development of methods for assessing the dynamics of the duration of the processes of resettlement of residents and demolition of evicted houses under the renovation program. As a solution to this problem, the use of a time series estimation method is proposed. The purpose of the study was to identify quantitative changes in the values of the average duration of the processes of resettlement and demolition of apartment buildings during the implementation of the renovation program, the development and approbation of algorithms for their calculation. In case of positive experience in the application of the developed methodology, it can be extended to use in the study of the dynamics of other processes in the renovation program. Including when assessing the duration of construction of new houses.

The authors’ study of the organizational and economic problems of the implementation of the State Housing Renovation Program revealed the relevance of the problem of accurately determining the level of budget financing in the presence of various series of mass-built buildings and renovation technologies (demolition, reconstruction or dismantling). The organizational and economic aspects of improving the efficiency of housing renovation processes are considered. The author analyzes modern approaches to the renovation of residential buildings. The main focus is on possible ways to optimize renovation processes in order to increase their efficiency. At the same time, there is no inclusion of measures for possible compensation of budget costs for renovation of the housing stock.

Pouring Vitality and Reconstructing Memory：Baosteel Industrial Heritage Landscape Renovation Design Study

[Objective]Taking the brownfield of Baosteel industrial site as an example, this study proposes a landscape renovation program based on the theoretical foundation of ecological restoration in response to the problems of soil destruction, water pollution, landscape fragmentation, and loss of field area memory. [Objective]Combine history and culture with ecological restoration in order to preserve special historical relics, so as to promote the reconstruction of the land ecosystem in the factory area and improve the utilization rate of the land in the field area. [Methods] 1. Soil was sampled by five-point sampling method to assess the degree and distribution of soil pollution. 2. Elemental content testing was carried out for Baosteel FGD wastewater. 3. Industrial landscape renovation cases were analyzed. 4. Landscape remediation measures at three levels: space, historical value of the plant, and biological level are proposed according to the soil and water conditions. [Conclusion] It will provide some references and lessons for industrial brownfield renovation, and help to improve the ecological quality and recreational value of brownfield sites of Baosteel industrial sites with multiple measures.

The large scale of demolition of buildings under the renovation program in Moscow is associated with the generation of a significant volume of construction waste that requires recycling. The strategic initiative "Circular Economy" developed by the Government of the Russian Federation provides for increasing the share of recycled resources by 2030. In the construction industry, it is expected to use up to 40% of raw materials from recycled materials. However, this condition determines the need to create a unified sustainable system for the management of construction waste, interconnected with the demolition of buildings and structures, which justifies the relevance of studying the processes of preparing construction waste for secondary use. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to develop recommendations for organizing processes for collecting and processing construction waste at the demolition site, taking into account urban density and compliance with safety requirements. An analytical review of legal requirements, as well as scientific research in the field of dismantling work, was carried out, organizational and technological solutions to ensure safety during the dismantling of buildings using the “smart demolition” technology were studied and systematized. The paper shows the results of a study of dismantling using the “smart demolition” technology of a 21-story frame hotel building in Moscow. The study is based on field observation methods with filming and photographic recording of work and subsequent description of the nomenclature of construction waste based on systems analysis methods. The relationship between the method of dismantling the building and the proportion of sorted waste suitable for recycling has been established. Schemes for organizing waste storage and processing points have been developed, taking into account urban density and compliance with safety requirements. The proposals can be recommended for use when creating a unified construction production system, including both dismantling work and construction waste management work.

Poverty causes families to be unable to meet the needs of adequate housing for themselves and their families. Not everyone is able to meet their housing needs for economic reasons. One of the basic human needs is a house in the context of decentralized housing provision. Currently, there is no housing provision system in the regions that is responsive to developing needs. This is due to the lack of developed understanding that housing is also a public matter apart from being an individual matter. The aim of implementing the House Renovation Program is targeting poor people who have uninhabitable houses. The house renovation program has had an impact on poverty alleviation in Gowa District, Makassar. Community Service Activities (PKM) by the Indonesian Teachers and Lecturers Association in collaboration with IKAT Japan South Sulawesi as a form of improving the problem of poverty for our underprivileged brothers and sisters with a house renovation program. Apart from alleviating the problem of poverty through this house renovation program, it is hoped that those who receive Mr. Ridwan's assistance will be helped by comfortable accessibility with their families.

Autocratic Policy and the Accumulation of Social Capital: The Moscow Housing Renovation Program

Can autocratic policy generate incentives for the accumulation of social capital and political engagement? This question is important to understand stability in authoritarian regimes that increasingly rely on governance to build legitimacy and social support. While existing research shows that the incentives for societal interaction embedded in policies can yield new forms of social capital and political engagement in democratic regimes, the top-down nature of policy and the corrupt and information-poor context of policy implementation could undermine this mechanism in authoritarian regimes. We explore this question by examining the effect of the Moscow Housing Renovation Program, a massive urban renewal project, that required residents to organize to obtain new housing. Comparing a matched sample of 1,300 residents living in buildings included and excluded from the program, we find that interactions induced by the program led to changes in the level of social capital among residents in included buildings. We also find spillover effects on political engagement and collective action against pension reform.

Analysis of the efficiency of interaction between participants in the implementation of projects under the renovation programme on the example of the city of Moscow

Одним из важнейших направлений социально-экономической политики каждого государства является обеспечение граждан безопасными и комфортными жилищными условиями, которые бы отвечали требованиям не только актуальных норм и правил, но и сложившимся требованиям современного общества. С целью улучшения жилищных условий и обновления ветхого и аварийного жилья ведется программа реновации жилой застройки. Одной из особенностей представленного во многих городах Российских Федерации жилого фонда является большое и, зачастую, преобладающее количество жилых домов, построенных в период с 1958 по 1967 гг., в период индустриального домостроения. В соответствии с действующими нормативными актами срок эксплуатации данных домов составляет до 70 лет при условии своевременного обслуживания. Это означает, что в ближайшие 10–15 лет общее состояние жилищного фонда может существенно ухудшиться и произойдет резкое увеличение ветхого и аварийного жилья. С целью не допустить массового появления аварийных зданий, для которых на данном этапе их жизненного цикла капитальный ремонт нецелесообразен, реализуется программа реновации жилой застройки. Главной задачей данной программы является модернизация существующего жилищного фонда и обновление среды жизнедеятельности с целью приведения его в соответствие со стандартами качества, обеспечивающими комфортные условия проживания.
 В реализации программы реновации жилой застройки задействованы многие участники: от государственных структур до локальных подрядных организаций. Такой широкий круг участников требует максимально слаженной взаимной работы для достижения всех поставленных задач. Но, как показала практика, не всегда участники действуют слаженно, что приводит к различным последствиям, выраженным в существенном увеличении стоимости или сроков строительства. Тем самым необходима тщательная проработка действующего порядка взаимодействия участников с целью выявления возможных проблем и анализа для совершенствования механизма управления и взаимодействия участников реализации программы.

Malacofauna of Bolków castle (Lower Silesia, SW Poland) – trends and perspectives

Bolków castle is located in the Lower Silesian voivodeship near the Kaczawskie Mountains. Malacological studies were carried out in 2006, 2010 and 2021. In 2006, specimens were collected only by hand, but in 2010 and 2021 samples were also made by litter sieving and from material taken from rock shelves and walls. Overall, 35 species were found, but the numbers declined over time: 28 species in 2006, 26 in 2010 and 20 in 2021. Two species recorded before our studies were not found again. Abundance declined greatly between 2010 and 2021. Over this period, open-country species declined the most, and shade-loving species increased as a proportion of the whole. In particular, the open-country Pupilla muscorum, eudominant in 2010, was absent in 2021, while the tolerant Alinda biplicata increased greatly over the same period. While more widespread environmental or climatic change may be involved, the castle has been subject to increased human pressure and a renovation programme in 2015. Castle faunas, here and elsewhere, are not only refugia for locally or nationally uncommon species, but provide a basis for regular monitoring of faunal change. Other castles in the region, most especially those at Stary Książ and Książ have similar faunas, and can be used in the same way.

Green Renovation and Retrofitting of Old Buildings: A Case Study of a Concrete Brick Apartment in Chengdu

With the progress of urbanization in China, the energy-saving renovation of a large number of existing buildings, especially old buildings, has become an important project for the green and low-carbon development of urban renewal. This paper takes the old brick school building in a university in Chengdu as an example. Through field research, the existing problems of the building are analyzed in detail in terms of building function, structure and appearance, and a detailed plan for functional upgrading, structural reinforcement and façade renovation is drawn up, taking into account the actual requirements and environmental status. In addition, solar photovoltaic technology is integrated into the renovation of the building’s pitched roof. Through modelling and analysis, the amount of solar energy captured by the photovoltaic roof is quantitatively simulated and the dynamic energy-saving potential of the renovation project under changing actual meteorological conditions is pre-evaluated. The preliminary results indicate that such green renovations can contribute to about 164,066 kWh annual solar energy collection and the self-use electricity from the PV roof accounts for 42–76% of total energy consumption, leading to about 60% building energy consumption conservation. The payback period of such a renovation program is assessed to be about 1.9 years, which is quite economically feasible considering the local energy tariff policy. This paper explores the feasibility and design direction of green and low-carbon renovation and upgrading of old buildings, which can provide a reference for the application of green and low-carbon renovation of local old buildings.

Reducing the Harmful Impact of Boiler Plants on the Environment

World production makes an ever-increasing harmful impact on the natural environment. As a matter of fact, mankind is facing the problem of saving the natural environment. As for the production branches the energy industry has the strongest harmful effect, and as for the production facilities the boiler plants that emit heat and harmful substances into the environment are the most environmentally aggressive. The global fleet of boiler plants is huge and complicated. As the boiler plant wears out, the levels of its environmental, economic and general technical efficiency are increasingly decreased, and the intensity of the harmful impact on the environment is increased worsening progressively its condition. The self-healing process of the natural environment lags behind the process of harmful effects on it. As a matter of fact, the problem of reducing the harmful effects of boiler plants on the environment has arisen. The purpose of this study was to analyze the phenomenon of interaction between the energy sector, primarily boiler plants and the natural environment and search for the ways to resolve the existing contradictions of this interaction. The task of improving the environmental friendliness of worn-out power equipment and, above all, boiler plants is an urgent issue. The purpose of this research paper was to analyze the possibilities of solving the problem of ecological interaction of boiler plants with the natural environment through their partial, full or redundant renovations. This research is relevant, because the boiler plants of the domestic fleet are extremely worn out. Full or redundant renovation is highly resource intensive and appropriate resources are currently unavailable. A realistic way to solve the problem of reducing the harmful effects of boiler plants on the environment is to increase the environmental friendliness of worn-out boiler equipment by partially upgrading it using relatively simple and affordable methods, such as normalizing the boiler air mode, reducing heat losses with exhaust gases, rationalizing and implementing daily and weekly schedules of the boiler operation in order to extend the full load carrying mode. Successful implementation of the forthcoming program of partial renovation of worn-out boiler plants will ensure a significant reduction of their harmful impact on the environment.

Peningkatan Keamanan Dan Kenyamanan Jamaah Masjid Al-Anwar Melalui Renovasi Halaman Masjid

Al Anwar Mosque is located in Sawahan Pendowoharjo Sewon Hamlet, Bantul. Currently, the mosque management is planning to renovate the mosque yard in the form of installing paving blocks as a pavement layer. The courtyard of the mosque is still dusty soil, so that in the rainy season it becomes muddy and disturbs the comfort of people who come to worship in the mosque. Funding and technical assistance are the main problems in the renovation program of the pavement layer of the mosque courtyard. On the basis of these problems, it is necessary to carry out community service in the form of funding and also technical assistance for the renovation of the pavement layer of the mosque courtyard. The results of community service activities increase the safety and comfort of Al Anwar mosque worshippers.

Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB): Developing religious harmony awareness village in Pesawaran District

The purpose of this community service is to foster harmony by forming a 'Religious Harmony Awareness Village'. The method used in this program refers to the Joint Ministerial Regulations Number 8 and 9 of 2006, namely (1) providing social assistance and socializing worship regulations; (2) forming a forum for communication of interfaith leaders; (3) socialization and understanding and implementation of PBM and harmony among interfaith communities; (4) certify waqf land and land for interfaith houses of worship; (5) implementing interfaith harmony and mutual cooperation through the house renovation program, and (6) facilitating the issuance of permits to construct houses of worship. The results of this program include an increase in indicators of inter-religious harmony such as tolerance, mutual respect, and kinship in community life in Poncokresno Village. Apart from that, a mosque was also built, 4 houses were renovated, and a building construction certificate (IMB) was issued for the church.

Implementasi Metode SAW Untuk Menentukan Program Bantuan Bedah Rumah Di Kabupaten Pandeglang

The home surgery assistance program is one of the programs of the Department of housing and settlements, where this program is intended to help ease the burden on the poor. Of the many peoply , there are still many resident whosw economic level is very low(poor). The problem in this study is that the housing and settlement office of Pandeglang regency in term of determining the house surgery assistance program is still subjective so that sometime it is not target , as well as the frequent exchange of application document and the lack of transparency of the result of grant recipients. Therefore, a decision support system is needed that ains to make I easier for the housing and settlement office to determine potential recipient of the this method works by finding the weight value for each alternative, then a calculation processs is carried out to obtain an optimal alternative, to determine to potential recipients of the home surgery program. The results of this study with the SAW method yielded a ranking of 0,654 rank 5 on behalf of Inik, rank 4 with a value of 0,7535 on behalf of Toton, rank 3 with a value of 0,886 on behalf of irman, rank 2 with a value of 0,911 on behalf of Tedi, rank 1 with a 1 point on behalf of Enong. Those who are entitled to receive a house renovation program grant in the name of Enong with a value of 1.

Urban Building Energy Modelling for the Renovation Wave: A Bespoke Approach Based on EPC Databases

In 2020, domestic buildings represented 27% of the energy consumption in the European Union. The EC Renovation Wave concluded that the annual renovation rate should be doubled, from 1% to 2%, over the next decade in order to meet the 2030 energy efficiency targets. Funding programs are being implemented at national and European levels to accelerate this process. These aim to prioritize large-scale interventions and the most efficient energy conservation measures by including strict performance targets as eligibility conditions. However, these programs are coordinated by local authorities, and they struggle to generate reliable energy estimates for large areas, not least predict potential savings at both aggregated and individual levels. This paper presents a bespoke energy retrofit analysis methodology based on urban building energy modelling, which is defined and calibrated with the Energy Performance Certificate Database. We apply this method to the case study Barrio das Flores. The model adopts a hybrid approach, defining and simulating representative typologies to extrapolate the results to the whole district according to each dwelling’s specific parameters. This methodology will be used to predict the potential energy savings in the study area and support the grant application for the funding renovation program.
