Analysis of teachers' problems in the implementation of the independent curriculum in PAI subjects

Many students experience obstacles in learning Islamic Religious Education, coupled with the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum which is still relatively new in its implementation. The implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum certainly requires time for adjustment, so this affects student learning outcomes and the achievement of appropriate learning objectives. This study aims to examine the problems that occur at SMA Daarul Qur'an Bandung related to the implementation of the Independent Learning curriculum in learning Islamic Religious Education subjects. The research method used is a qualitative case study approach with data collection through observation, interviews and document studies. The results of the study show that in the implementation of the Independent Learning Curriculum in schools there are still various problems, especially in the teacher aspect. It can be concluded that the Independent Curriculum in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SMA Darul Quran Bandung shows a number of challenges that need to be overcome. By continuing to evaluate and adjust, it is hoped that schools can overcome the challenges faced and improve the quality of learning for students as a whole.

The instructional and learning quality: The effect of four teacher competencies

Teacher competence is directly proportional to student learning quality. The purpose of this study was to prove whether teacher competence positively impacts the quality of learning. The study was conducted on 127 state madrasah teachers in Malang Regency and Batu City. Data was collected using a questionnaire via Google Form with a semantic differential scale (1-10). The instrument was developed in accordance with the teacher competence law and has met the quality requirements of content testing by experts and obtained empirical evidence in the SEM analysis with CFI (Comparative Fit Index) results, 0.926, RMSEA 0.110, CI (Confidence interval) 0.0937-0.126, and Reliability 0,95. The test of the influence of teacher competence on the quality of learning was carried out using linear regression analysis. The results of the data analysis obtained in the study showed a positive influence of teacher competence on the quality of learning by 90.8%. The results of measurements with the instrument used by the researcher can be a reference in measuring teacher competence;; the better the teacher's competence is, the more directly proportional it is to the quality of learning.

Hubungan Manajemen Kelas dan Motivasi Belajar dengan Mutu Pembelajaran di UPT SDN 238 Ujung Tanah Kecamatan Mare Kabupaten Bone

The formulation of the problem in this study is how is the description of class management, learning motivation, and learning quality at UPT SDN 238 Ujung Tanah, Mare District, Bone Regency? and is there a significant relationship between class management and learning motivation with the quality of learning at UPT SDN 238 Ujung Tanah, Mare District, Bone Regency? This study is a correlation study that aims to determine the description of class management, learning motivation, learning quality and the relationship between class management and learning motivation with the quality of learning at UPT SDN 238 Ujung Tanah, Mare District, Bone Regency. The research approach is a quantitative approach. Research data were obtained through questionnaires and documentation. The population in the study were all high-class students at UPT SDN 238 Ujung Tanah, Mare District, Bone Regency, totaling 30 students. The sample in the study amounted to 30 students. The data analysis technique was descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results obtained in this study are a description of class management showing a very high category and learning motivation showing a very high category with learning quality showing a very high category and class management and learning motivation have a significant relationship to the quality of student learning, especially in the high class of UPT SDN 238 Ujung Tanah, Mare District, Bone Regency.

Research on the teaching reform of the case teaching mode based on the OBE concept

In the process of carrying out the teaching work of the three-dimensional modeling course, the teaching methods adopted by the teachers make me deeply affect the efficiency and quality of the students' learning of this course to a certain extent. It may also cause students to be very interested in learning the course. Through specific cases to guide students to apply and learn the knowledge of this course. It can effectively meet the learning needs of students to alarge extent, and greatly improve the learning quality of students. Therefore, in this paper, based on the concept of OBE case teaching mode in the teaching reform measures in-depth analysis, hope to gradually optimize the overall quality of 3D modeling course teaching work to lay a solid foundation, at the same time can also to help students understand the basic knowledge of 3D modeling course.

The Innovation of Teaching based on Technology: Improving Educational Quality in Digital Era

To complete the research answer on the topic of producing digital learning to improve the quality of student learning in the era of the technological revolution 4.0 at STITNU Sakinah Dharmasraya, researchers have collected various materials that answer research questions. Likewise, to collect primary data, researchers interviewed 30 academics (students and lecturers) of STITNU Sakinah Dharmasraya to find out their perspectives and experiences in developing digital-based teaching to improve student learning outcomes during regular education and throughout education. Therefore, a review of different data sets was carried out, both in the form of secondary source data from various publications related to technology and teaching as well as data that researchers asked academics to find answers to. Researchers can simplify the development of digital teaching to improve the quality of student learning in the Revolution 4.0 era at STITNU Sakinah Dharmasraya. This has resulted in several new insights, such as technology has innovated the learning process because digital applications have helped academics solve learning challenges and provide more benefits. They hope that these findings can provide new insights into learning in higher education and their use in policy making

Rethinking the Andragogical Effectiveness of Discussion Boards in an MBA Program

ABSTRACT This paper critically examines the andragogical effectiveness of discussion boards within an MBA program, focusing on whether alternative methods could yield superior educational outcomes. Traditional online discussion boards, despite being a mainstay in asynchronous distance education, have come under scrutiny for their potential limitations in facilitating deep, meaningful student interactions. Through a quasi-experimental study involving MBA students, this research explores the implementation of a reflective journaling approach, incorporating elements like distributed practice and recall activities as an alternative to conventional discussion boards. The study employs Michael G. Moore’s Theory of Transactional Distance as a theoretical framework to assess learning outcomes. Initial results from the innovative andragogical approach suggest a moderate effect size, indicating a potential improvement in learning outcomes compared to traditional discussion board use, although statistical significance was not reached. The findings prompt a reevaluation of interaction techniques in online education, suggesting that integrating reflective practices could enhance the quality of student learning and engagement.

Survey of the Importance of Using Basic Biomedical Science Lecture Guidebooks Containing Personality Types for Health Faculty Students

In higher education, especially in the health sector, a deep understanding of the course material is the key to academic success. In improving the quality of student learning, the use of teaching materials is essential to achieve competency targets. However, each student has a different personality so that their learning style type is different. Based on this, it is necessary to develop more adaptive learning resources that not only include scientific materials, but also pay attention to the different personality types of students. This study aims to explore the importance of using basic biomedical science lecture guidebooks that are tailored to the personality types of students at the Faculty of Health. This research method uses a descriptive survey approach with a purposive sampling technique. A survey was conducted on a number of students to assess the effectiveness and needs of guidebooks designed based on personality types. The survey results showed that most students felt helped by the existence of guides that were in accordance with their learning characteristics, which ultimately improved understanding and academic achievement. It can be concluded that personalized teaching materials according to student personality are useful and needed in the learning process.

“They already trusted us a lot”: Allied health students’ experiences of an innovative hospital, service-focussed placement model

Background A service-focussed placement model involves an innovative partnership between service and education providers to a) address service delivery needs and b) facilitate students’ competency development. Services are collaboratively redesigned such that students are positioned as collaborators in service delivery with their learning supported through evidence-informed educational design. This model was implemented in the hospital setting and was found to promote positive patient outcomes. Our study explored whether this model supports student learning. Methods Students’ perception of learning was explored using a multiple-case study design with data collected from 22 semi-structured focus groups and interviews with 64 senior year allied health students (physiotherapy n = 55; occupational therapy n = 9) across six placement settings. Inductive thematic analysis identified aspects of this placement model that facilitated and challenged students’ learning. Results A service-focussed placement model provides a quality student learning experience. Students identified the need to be prepared for independent learning. This placement model promoted their professional development and sense of autonomy through engaging them in early, active learning within a safe learning environment. Conclusions Students perceived that a service-focussed placement model equipped them for the ever-changing complexities and challenges of hospital services.

Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning dan Keterampilan Berpikir Kreatif Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Biologi Siswa SMA Bunda Hati Kudus

In the era of globalization marked by the presence of Society 5.0, education faces new challenges. One of the essential skills that students need to have is critical thinking. The discovery learning learning model is considered effective in fostering students' critical thinking skills, so that it can improve their understanding of concepts. This study aims to determine the influence of the discovery learning model and creative thinking skills on the understanding of biology concepts of SMA Bunda Hati Kudus students. The research method used is a quantitative method. The population of this study used 160 students in class XI science of Bunda Hati Kudus High School for the 2022/2023 school year. The sample used was 64 people. Hypothesis testing using MANOVA and ANOVA techniques with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the study show that the application of the discovery learning learning model significantly improves the understanding of concepts, critical thinking skills, and creative thinking skills of SMA Bunda Hati Kudus students. Statistical analysis with the F test showed a very significant difference (p < 0.05) between the group of students who used the discovery learning model and the group that used the direct learning model. These findings indicate that the discovery learning model can be an effective alternative to improve the quality of student learning

Model Pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam Meningkatkan Karakter Religius Siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Rancabungur

Religious character is one of the characters that needs to be developed in every student to instill good behavior in accordance with the path that has been guided in the Al-Quran and Hadith. This research is limited by focusing this research on Islamic Religious Education learning models and the curriculum implemented by schools in improving students' religious character. This research uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of this research were school principals, school principals, PAI teaching staff and staff. The data collection was carried out by sourced from several PAI learning documents available at the school, as well as interviews with parties related to PAI learning, and researcher observations with field observations of the process of implementing PAI learning at SMA Negeri 1 Rancabungur. The results of the research show that improving the quality of learning begins with planning before learning, there is reciting of al-Quran, the learning process emphasizes student activity. PAI learning cannot be separated from the lecture method, PAI learning model with various variations using the inquiry learning model, in an effort to provide quality student learning with expository, cooperative learning. In addition to providing varied learning methods, teachers also provide guidance, habituation, advice, motivation and uswatun hasanah or role models. Implementation: First, the process of providing religious understanding to students. Second, holding religious activities. Third continuous supervision. Supporting and inhibiting factors include the following: Supporting Factors, First, parents, Second, school facilities and resources, Third, Example. The inhibiting factors include: Internal factors include students who do not have a strong will to carry out activities of a religious character. Meanwhile, external factors, from teachers and parents, and finally environmental factors.

Optimizing Interactive Learning Management System (LMS) in Improving Students' English Language Skills

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the platform in improving the quality of learning for students at the Al-Mujaddid Sabak Islamic Institute. This study seeks to understand how interactive features such as discussion forums, automatic quizzes, online assignments, and virtual classes can contribute to improving student engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes. The methodology used is qualitative research with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the process of implementing a Learning Management System (LMS) with interactive features has proven to be an effective solution in supporting flexible, collaborative, and more participatory learning. Features such as discussion forums, virtual classes, online assignments, and student progress analysis provide various benefits for the teaching and learning process, both for students and teachers. Recommendations for LMS with interactive features not only optimize online learning but also enrich the overall learning experience, making it an important platform in the world of modern education. Recommendations for optimizing interactive learning are to provide training to lecturers and students in using LMS, provide adequate internet access, and combine online learning with face-to-face learning that supports social interaction. Continued support from institutions in terms of infrastructure and training will be critical to ensure a more mature and comprehensive implementation in the future.

The Impact of Digital Teaching Resources on Student Learning Engagement

Digital teaching resources, composed of multimedia network learning resources, online learning communities, and network technology platforms, offer the advantage of being unrestricted by time, location, and space, enabling the maximization of educational resource utilization, effectively reducing learning costs, and improving learning efficiency. Among the evaluation indicators of digital teaching resources, the learning engagement of learners is one of the key indicators. The degree of student learning engagement affects the quality of student learning and is influenced by multiple factors. This study analyzes the learning engagement of students and its influencing factors from different dimensions such as teachers, students, learning peers, and learning environment, and quantifies the influencing factors of student learning engagement using questionnaire surveys and empirical analysis methods. The study finds that self-factors, teacher factors, peer factors, and environmental factors have a significant impact on learning engagement, and strategies and suggestions for improving learning engagement are proposed based on the analysis results.

Determinant factors of learning quality in Indonesian junior high schools

Learning quality in schools is the core of efforts to improve the quality of national education. In this view, teachers play an important role as knowledge facilitators, helping students through the learning process and providing an environment that promotes growth and critical thinking. This study aimed to describe how the learning quality in junior high schools of South Papua Province, Indonesia, is predicted by teacher training quality, teacher self-efficacy, and teacher collaboration. We utilized a quantitative research approach with a survey research design to obtain research data from 184 teachers working in junior high schools in South Papua Province, Indonesia. The collected data were thoroughly analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results of the data analysis indicate that the quality of learning in junior high schools of South Papua Province was significantly predicted by all the independent variables, both direct and indirect. These findings underscore the importance of fostering teacher training quality, teacher self-efficacy, and teacher collaboration to improve the quality of student learning.

СИСТЕМА КАЧЕСТВА ОБУЧЕНИЯ В КАДЕТСКИХ КЛАССАХ МЧС РОССИИ И ПОЖАРНО-СПАСАТЕЛЬНЫХ КОЛЛЕДЖАХ

The results of research on the creation of an internal system for assessing the quality of education teaching children in schools with cadet classes of EMERCOM of Russia and fire and rescue colleges the basics of fire safety are presented. The requirements for the qualifications of a teacher-educator for high-quality classes with children on combustion, the danger of uncontrolled combustion – fire and compliance with fire safety requirements are presented. The methodological features of teaching children of different age groups the basics of fire prevention, fire fighting equipment and tactics are shown. Methods for checking the quality of student learning are proposed.

The Application of Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) Approach In Learning The Indonesian Language

This research was conducted to reflect on teachers' performance and analyze the improvement of the quality of student learning in Indonesian language subjects. This research aims to explore the use of poetry learning strategies through CRT. The focus is on improving the quality of Indonesian language learning by implementing CRT in the students' environment. This research design uses a case study. Based on the implementation of Field Experience Practices, it was found that students looked sleepy and easily bored while learning the Indonesian language. This case was because Indonesian learning displays too much long text. So, the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach was implemented to solve the problem. Teaching using the CRT approach in the Indonesian language subject was carried out for eight weeks with two sessions of meetings in class X.1 of State Senior High School 1 Jember. The results showed that students actively participate in the learning process. Besides, learners' learning activities support the existence of learning products. The Indonesian language learning product produced is a musicalization video of poetry. The product also received feedback from the teacher in the form of appreciation, enthusiasm, and motivation for students. The findings of this research show that improving the quality of learning can be achieved by utilizing CRT as a context in the development of texts and their instruction. The meaningfulness of the learning can be seen from the students' deep understanding, enabling them to grasp the benefits and functions of studying texts in Indonesian. This study recommends implementing Culturally Responsive Teaching in Indonesian language learning subjects to increase student learning activities. One of the activities of Culturally Responsive Teaching is creating appropriate activities for students' cultural backgrounds in the form of musicalization poetry.

The article examines the effectiveness and role of the use of electronic textbooks in the education system. And, including in the section «Optics», optical phenomena and patterns are taken as a basis. The creation of electronic textbooks is one of the most pressing problems of the educational process today. The expansion of the use of modern information technologies has led to the need to develop electronic learning tools that increase the effectiveness of self-learning and the quality of learning for students. The use of electronic means in the learning process is effective for both the teacher and the student. The use of electronic learning tools in the educational process does not contradict the traditional teaching method, but rather complements the use of its achievements. Comparison parameters are also considered: page and rotation; reader's movement through the book; plane and depth; book block; personal appearance of the book; text; illustration; tactile sensations; reliability of information storage and accessible information update; one can say about the pros and cons of this and other types of books. The advantages of an electronic textbook in terms of printing are accompanied only by sound effects associated with its large information capacity and ease of use. With all the convenience of the e-book format, the reader may want to see it directly on the site if he does not want to download it, or, as in a bookstore, first view the publication and then decide whether to download it or not. The main disadvantages of the electronic textbook are due to its loss of personal artistic appearance. Currently, there are many tools for creating electronic textbooks. For example, the possibilities of the program SunRav BookEditor, SunRav BookReader, TurboSite, Flipsnack, EdApp, Canva, etc. are considered. In the article, we will define the role of analyzing the digital literacy of students using an electronic textbook. Examples of electronic forms of a physics textbook for grades 7-9 can be given.

The Impact of Education Management Digitalisation on the Quality of Student Learning

The study presents an analysis of the educational process model based on a web application for creating a custom work schedule by adding individual events or modules. The study focuses on the distance learning process that took place in 2021 and involved 358 students from the first and fourth years of three universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Participants were interviewed about their readiness to learn using digital management tools, their average annual academic performance was analyzed, and their assessment of the importance of the resources they allocate to achieving learning outcomes using digital management was studied. The study found that there were no significant differences in the understanding of key aspects of educational service quality and the impact of digital management on learning between first- and fourth-year students with different levels of performance. The results of the study can be utilized to develop proprietary models for digitalizing education management, creating additional modules to automate educational activities, and introducing new tools to enhance digital interaction capabilities.

Utilizing item response theory for the analysis of self-regulated learning scale in mathematics

In the learning process, students must be able to regulate themselves. This is an effort to improve the quality of student learning, especially their learning achievement. The purpose of this study is to empirically analyze the characteristics of self-regulation skills in learning mathematics. The analysis was carried out by utilizing Item Response Theory (IRT) with a Partial Credit Model (PCM). This study is a descriptive quantitative study with the subjects of the study being 123 students of grade 10 of Senior High Schools in Yogyakarta. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire that had been developed and its item characteristics were analyzed using IRT. The independent learning scale questionnaire in mathematics consists of 16 statement items and measures 5 aspects. Based on all the questions that are feasible to be analyzed using the PCM model, it is known that there are 5 aspects that fit, namely (1) self-confidence, (2) discipline in learning, (3) active in learning, (4) responsibility, and (5) motivation in learning. This instrument can be used to measure students' self-regulation skills in learning mathematics based on their ability level.

Improving The Quality of Student Learning Through Time Management Training: An Experimental Research

This study aims to explore and test the effectiveness of time management training in improving the quality of student learning at SMP Negeri 1 Proppo. The main focus of the research is how time management techniques such as prioritization, scheduling, execution, and evaluation can help students manage their time more effectively and improve their academic performance. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type, where data is collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis methods to identify the main patterns and themes that emerged. The results show that time management training has a significant positive impact on students' ability to manage time and improve the quality of their learning. Students who take part in the training feel more organized, focused, and productive in completing their tasks. These findings are in line with the theory of self-regulated learning and time management, which emphasizes the importance of self-regulation and efficient time allocation in achieving high academic achievement. The implication of this study is that time management training programs should be integrated into school curricula to help students develop essential time management skills from an early age.

Every voice counts – Embedding the principles of Universal Design for Learning into higher education online course design

University classrooms are diverse settings. With online courses becoming increasingly more common instructors in post-secondary institutions must create inclusive learning environments that meet the needs of adult learners with exceptionalities. Goldberg et al. (2003) asserted that innovative technological tools can be used to promote student engagement, motivation, and enhance the quality of learning for students with disabilities. One such tool is the Voice Thread which can be thoughtfully and intentionally incorporated into the course design phase. Friedman and Lee (2009) contend that using visual images to present content is a necessary pedagogical strategy and provides an opportunity to reduce visual clutter. Making content visual and auditory rather than exclusively in print is a Universal Design for Learning strategy that makes the information more accessible to all students not just those who struggle with reading. Hampton and Mason (2003) reminded us that many students with learning disabilities require additional time to formulate their thoughts to make meaningful contributions to an online discussion. The features of the program offer a comfortable way for students to share their knowledge and understanding, analytical skills and personal reflections related to a particular concept. Offering a choice in the response format allows students to utilize their strengths and concentrate more fully on demonstrating their learning. Fostering an inclusive learning environment using innovative technologies, such as Voice Thread, offers online instructors a meaningful way to adopt inclusive approaches to curriculum and assessment. Pre-existing structures such as the Community of Practice (Lave & Wenger, 1991) provide inclusive leaders the opportunity to share these innovations with colleagues and ensure that every voice counts.
