Optimizing organizational performance in manufacturing: The role of IT capability, green supply chain integration, and green innovation

The purpose of this research is to investigate the complex association that exists between information technology capabilities (ITCs), green supply chain integration (GSCI), and green innovation (GI) on organizational performance in the manufacturing industry. By analyzing data from a sample of manufacturing organizations (n = 620), this study pursues to understand how ITC influences the implementation and efficacy of green initiatives throughout the supply chain and how this, in turn, affects organizational performance. The findings suggest that ITC boosts GSCI and overall organizational performance and that green process innovation and green product innovation mediate the relationship between different dimensions of GSCI and performance. The study findings have important implications for academics and practitioners who want to learn how to combine information technology and green practices to improve organizational performance.

Information Technology Practices and Job Performance of Secretaries in Tertiary Institutions in Lagos State, Nigeria

Information plays a vital role in the life of every individual and a country at large. The life sustainer of every organization can be traced to information technology practices. Secretaries are not left out in the practice of information technological. However, a situation whereby the indicators of information and technology management is not practiced, there is every tendency that the level of job performance working in such organizations will be questioned. In this regard, this study deems it fit to investigate how Information Technology Practices (ITP) will influence Job Performance (JP) of secretaries in higher institutions of learning in Lagos state. Descriptive research design was adopted. Population consists of 1189 secretaries in higher institution of learning in Lagos state. Multistage sampling technique was adopted, afterwards, 226 secretaries served as the sample size for this study. The reliability coefficient for each of the variable ranged from 0.70 to 0.95. Data collected was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings revealed that ITP was found to significantly influence JP (Adj. R2 = 0.102; p = 0.000). The study concluded that in terms of achieving maximum job performance, only ITP will bring about this. The study recommended that taking decisions by secretaries should be engineered by IT related factors, should actually avail themselves of making use of state of the art IT facilities during the course of their jobs and also secretaries in higher institution of learning in Lagos state should be compensated handsomely if they carry out extra jobs within the institution. An Introduction to Education Informatization for Educational Equity: An Example of Online Education Platform

Education informatization is based on modern information technology, and the main feature is the wide application of information technology in education, which organically combines modern information technology with subject teaching, so that various teaching resources can be shared and students can interact, interact and develop together. With the deep integration of information technology and education practice, the in-depth use of information technology makes China's education more fair and just, and education informatization is an important way to improve education equity, improve teaching quality and promote education modernization. This paper conducts this study on educational informatization for educational equity by introducing educational informatization, educational equity and online education platforms, describing the concept and challenges of educational equity, describing the theoretical framework and empirical research on online education platforms for educational equity, discussing the opportunities and challenges of online education platforms for educational equity, and providing some strategies and suggestions for promoting online education platforms for educational equity.

TRANSFORMING SERVICE OPERATIONS WITH AI: A CASE FOR BUSINESS VALUE

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly become a critical technology for businesses seeking to improve efficiency and profitability. One area where AI is proving particularly impactful is in service operations management, where it is used to create AI-powered service operations (AIServiceOps) that deliver highvalue services to customers. AIServiceOps involve the use of AI to automate and optimize various business processes, such as customer service, sales, marketing, and supply chain management. The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence has prompted many changes in the field of Information Technology (IT) Service Operations. IT Service Operations are driven by AI, i.e., AIServiceOps. AI has empowered new vitality and addressed many challenges in IT Service Operations. However, there is a literature gap on the Business Value Impact of Artificial intelligence (AI) Powered IT Service Operations. It can help IT build optimized business resilience by creating value in complex and ever-changing environments as product organizations move faster than IT can handle. So, this research paper examines how AIServiceOps creates business value and sustainability, basically how AIServiceOps makes the IT staff liberation from a low-level, repetitive workout and traditional IT practices for a continuously optimized process. One of the research objectives is to compare Traditional IT Service Operations with AIServiceOPs. This paper provides the basis for how enterprises can evaluate AIServiceOps and consider it a digital transformation tool. The paper presents a case study of a company that implemented AI-powered service operations (AIServiceOps) and analyzes the resulting business outcomes. The study shows that AIServiceOps can significantly improve service delivery, reduce response times, and increase customer satisfaction. Furthermore, it demonstrates how AIServiceOps can deliver substantial cost savings, such as reducing labor costs and minimizing downtime.

The Analysis of Information and Communication Technology, Supply Chain Management, Competitive Advantage, and SMEs Performanc

This study analyzed the performance of SMEs influenced by information communication technology, supply chain management, and competitive advantage. The researcher selected the bakpia-producing SMEs in Sleman Regency as the population in this study. This research analyzed the data collected from the questionnaires using SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis method using the SmartPLS v.3.2.7 software. The results of this study show that not all hypotheses are accepted. The first hypothesis is accepted where supply chain management positively affects competitive advantage. Supply chain management also affects SME performance positively; thus, the second hypothesis is accepted. Meanwhile, the third hypothesis is accepted, where information communication technology positively affects supply chain management. Two hypotheses are not accepted. The first is the fourth hypothesis: information and communication technology do not affect competitive advantage. The second is the fifth hypothesis: competitive advantage does not affect SME performance. The research team suggests bakpia-producing SMEs to improve information and communication technology and supply chain management practices.

The Relation Among Business Process Orientation Practices in Influencing Organizational Performance

Organizations always look for ways to improve their performance to survive in the business environment. One way to improve organizational performance is to improve business process orientation (BPO). Several studies identified practices that can be implemented and significantly impact an organization’s BPO maturity. These practices are called Critical Practices (CPs) strategic view, process definition and documentation, process measurement and management, organizational process structure, people management, process organizational culture, market orientation, supplier view, and information technology. However, most studies treat CPs independently, and the relationship between CPs and between CPs with organizational performance has not been addressed. This study tests and confirms the relationship between CPs, BPO, and organizational performance. Based on the literature, a structural model of the relationship between CPs and organizational performance is developed. An online questionnaire is designed to collect data from various organizations in Indonesia. The survey results are analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to investigate the relationship between variables. Most hypothesized relationships between CPs are confirmed except the relationship between supplier practices (SU) and culture (CT), which are not supported. Not all practices affect organizational performance directly, but they must be mediated by other practices to have a significant effect. The results suggest that to improve organizational performance, an organization needs to improve the practice of strategic view (SV), performance measurement (PM), customer (CU), process definition (PD), and information technology (IT).

Information and Communication Technology and Its Reflections on Human Resources Management Practices

The study dealt with two variables of great importance to organizations represented by Information Technology and Communications expressed in their scope (hardware and equipment, software, communications and users) and human resource management practices represented by (human resource planning, employment, training and development, Compensation and incentives and performance evaluation), accordingly the study aimed to determine the repercussions or impact of Technology Information and Communication on human resource management practices in the Mosul Municipality Directorate in Nineveh governorate, The questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection distributed to a sample of (100) person who representing the managers in the field of research organization under study, and several statistical methods were used in the analysis of this data, Statistician Program (SPSS, Ver.26).The study reached several conclusions that confirmed as well as the existence of interrelationships and influence between information and communication Technology and human resource management practices at The level of their whole and partial scope.

MANAGING GREEN IT: A REVOLUTION FOR CRAFTING THE IDEA OF SMART CITY IN A DIFFERENT WAY

Green Information Technology (IT) denotes the policies and practices that firms should follow to manage IT operations to comply with green norms. Typically for a firm that mainly uses IT for its business, for mankind products or providing services, Green IT practices involve using IT in such a manner as to reduce carbon emissions or to use IT to monitor and manage carbon or other polluting emissions. There are mainly two aspects of Green IT practices: (i) Use IT efficiently to comply with green norms. (ii) Use IT to ensure other firm activities conform to green norms. Firms involved in making IT products or those who provide IT Services have to consider additional aspects of Green IT. The design of IT products follows Green Practices that includes designing both hardware and software. The IT artefacts produced in this manner are thus compliant with green norms, and the firms can assure their customers about the usage of environmentally sound processes. Usage of computers and networking technology requires energy both for making the device and running them. In recent years, as the usage of computer technology has grown in business, government and society, the consumption of energy has also increased. The government has recognized the threat of unrestrained and uncontrolled carbon emissions and has formed various guidelines to control emissions and pollution. Many firms have taken steps to understand their energy consumption patterns with regard to their IT usage and have implemented measures to ‘Go Green’. There are economic advantages of going green, in addition to those of acting responsibly. In this paper, the authors have explained how in the realm of IT, going green means using technology in an environment-friendly manner and using IT to control carbon emissions. The aim is to conduct a detailed study on managing Green IT and how smart cities can be crafted in a different way with the help of IT. An overall comprehensive insight is provided to deliver assistance for the development of advanced smart cities in the future.

Health Information Technologies in a Resource-Limited Setting: Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of Health Professionals.

The use of health information technology significantly enhances patient outcomes. As a result, policymakers from developing countries have placed strong emphasis on formulating eHealth policies and initiatives. However, there have not been many successful deployments to show for. The role of individual factors in the successful implementation of these technologies is indispensable. Therefore, this study assesses healthcare professionals' knowledge, attitudes, and practice of health information technology. An institution-based cross-sectional study was conducted at the University of Gondar Comprehensive Specialized Hospital from November 15 to December 29, 2020. A structured, self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data. Student's t-test was used to learn if there were any significant differences in practice habits between participants with and without previous information technology-related training. In addition, first-order partial correlation was conducted to identify the relationship of knowledge and attitude with practice. A total of 347 health professionals responded to the questionnaire, yielding an 87.2% response rate. Most health professionals are not aware of how to use health information technologies. Notably, practice levels were low and needed prompt action from responsible authorities. Previous training did not work very well to improve the practice levels of health professionals. However, the positive attitude of these professionals encourages policymakers and implementers to engage closely.

The development history of China's government informatization and its logical analysis—based on historical institutionalism

With the continuous integration of information technology and government administrative practice, digital government has gradually become an important tool to promote the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity, so it is necessary to return to the development and construction of government informatization, especially from which the experience of government informatization construction is extracted and summarized. China's digital government development has gone through the preparatory stage of government informatization: exploration and preparation period, the budding period, the e-government construction period and the digital government construction period. The information technology implementation structure and institutional basis increased perfectly throughout the four periods. After the 18th National Congress of the CPC, under the guidance of people-centered thinking government informatization construction strategy, the government's information construction strategy has changed from "one-way perspective" to "interactive perspective" which means citizen-centered participation of multiple subjects with more specific and clear construction goals. In the future, digital government will further integrate with new governance models such as agile governance, continuously release digital development dividends, and help to promote the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity so as to enhance people's happiness and satisfaction in life.

Strategic Management of IT Practices in Tourism for Operation and Service Enhancement

The information technology infrastructure library (ITIL) standard describes processes that should be implemented in Information Technology (IT) departments for proper operations management, which includes human resources management, economic management, and strategic management, among others. This should be especially considered in the business management of industries with no relation to information technologies (IT), such as tourism and hospitality companies. This work aims to present a method to establish the order of adoption of the IT management processes in companies that belong to the tourism industry. We conducted a survey to obtain the necessary data and developed a methodology that is based on an optimization procedure. This procedure generates the optimal sequence of IT tasks to adopt in a generic small company in the tourism industry. The methodology was then applied to a representative tourism company. Through the sequence obtained, it is shown that it is necessary to implement operative processes, and subsequently, strategic processes. A comparative study was developed to find the differences with other authors’ proposals. The most important result we found was the possibility of efficient use of organizations’ information to build an optimized list of IT procedures to improve their administration. The obtained list of processes is specific for each organization, and not dependent on the solutions offered by other authors who proposed a general or underoptimal list of processes.

Trust in Local Governments: An Insight for Good Governance Practices in COVID-19 Management

Various countries from almost all corners of the world and international organizations involved in providing development assistance have actively implemented and encouraged a paradigm shift in governance and development based on good governance. This study examines public trust in implementing good governance in terms of accountability, responsiveness, transparency, and information technology of the Samarinda City government in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method used in this research is qualitative. Data collection in this study prioritized in-depth interviews with twenty questions posed to six informants from the general public and six from the Samarinda City Government. The data analysis approach in this study uses the Nvivo 12 Plus software, and the processing uses the Crosstab Query Analysis functionality. The results of this study indicate that the practice of accountability, responsiveness, transparency, and information technology of the Samarinda City government varies greatly. In terms of responsibility, very good. Then, information technology in Samarinda City is quite good. Meanwhile, in terms of responsiveness and transparency, it still does not provide maximum results. Public trust in the government in handling COVID-19 has various perspectives based on findings from the implementation of good governance.

Fostering Resilience Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for Workforce Contentment and Organizational Performance

The focus of this article is on: ‘Fostering Resilience Information Technology (IT) for Workforce Contentment and Organizational Performance’. Information technology comprises all aspect of processing, storage as well as diffusion of information that are used in an electronic format. Regardless of the affirmative role of IT to economic efficiency as well as growth, an emergent country like ours is still lacking behind in using IT in manufacturing activities. Nigeria as a country is confronted with massive challenges in IT which has continuously nose dive Nigeria financial system as a result of challenges in terms of building IT connected to manufacturing functions. As a result, the objectives of this article was to find out the extent to which fostering resilience IT impact positively on employees contentment and to examine the perceived effect of resilience of information technology on organizational performance in the selected service firms in FCT-Abuja Nigeria. Data in term of secondary method as well as primary method of data collection were used to source for relevant information. A statistical technique such as regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Outcome from the analysis showed that fostering resilience IT has an affirmative impact on employees’ contentment as well as organizational performance in the selected service firms in FCT-Abuja Nigeria. The paper suggests that, organizational leaders must utilize human resource management theories and best information technology practices, acquire and train employees in this novel idea, appraise, reward and compensate employees to get the best from them. These will allow organization to engage the right skilled employee, placed them on the right job thereby leading to low turnover as well as enhanced good organization in their innovation process.

Análisis relacional del impacto de las prácticas tecnológicas en el desarrollo humano de la juventud. Un estudio en organizaciones mexicanas

The purpose of this study was to validate a theoretical proposal to analyze the correlation between information and communication technology (ICT) practices in an organizational structure and their impact on achieving human development in youth. In this text, the authors review the theories of culture in organizations and the structural perspective of technology. Moreover, based on these, a theoretical model is proposed to guide the methodology used. This consisted of estimating a structural equation model applied to the database of a survey carried out in 2016 to 204 Mexican government and civil society organizations oriented to support young people's development. The findings showed that the variables institutional capacity, ICT practices for searching information and internal communication achieved a significant impact on their scope and capacity to attend the human development of youth population.

Construction of University English Informatization Learning Environment Based on ESP Teaching Mode

To further improve university students’ English comprehensive quality and knowledge level, a kind of information analysis and evaluation system based on the English course was put forward and designed. The construction of the informatization learning environment was explored from the perspective of ESP theory, combining with the existing problems of English informatization teaching in universities. It aimed at promoting the transformation and development of the targeting of English teaching, the application of the curriculum system, the specialization of the teaching content, and the multidimensional evaluation mechanism. The results showed that the application of ESP teaching theory in the construction of an informatization learning environment could provide the system and resource guarantee for the innovative development of the English teaching model and further optimize the English teaching method. Through a semester of The Foundation of University Information Technology MOOC study and practice in the practical operation of the evaluation system, the pass rate of each college was over 80%. And 91% of the students scored more than 60 in the final exam and 35% of the students scored more than 90.

The Effectiveness of the Practice of Digital Leadership and Information Technology among Public School Principals in the Southern Mazar District from Their Point of View

This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the practice of digital leadership and information technology among public school principals in the Southern Mazar District from their point of view. The study sample consisted of (64) principals, and to collect data, a questionnaire was developed that consisted of three main dimensions (visionary leadership, learning culture in the age of digital technology, excellence in professional practices). Its validity and reliability were confirmed, and the study used the descriptive approach to suit the purposes of this study, and the study concluded: The decrease in the effectiveness of the practice of digital leadership and information technology among government school principals in the Southern Mazar Brigade from their point of view. In the field of excellence in professional practice, learning culture in the age Digital and Medium for visionary leadership. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α = 0.05), in the effectiveness of the practice of digital leadership and information technology among government school principals in the Southern Mazar District from their point of view, according to gender, educational qualification. Based on the results of the study, some recommendations were made, including raising the educational level of school workers, working to provide electronic programs for the work environment to keep pace with the development of work in the public and private sectors. Review of Electric Vehicle Charger Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities, Potential Impacts, and Defenses

Worldwide growth in electric vehicle use is prompting new installations of private and public electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE). EVSE devices support the electrification of the transportation industry but also represent a linchpin for power systems and transportation infrastructures. Cybersecurity researchers have recently identified several vulnerabilities that exist in EVSE devices, communications to electric vehicles (EVs), and upstream services, such as EVSE vendor cloud services, third party systems, and grid operators. The potential impact of attacks on these systems stretches from localized, relatively minor effects to long-term national disruptions. Fortunately, there is a strong and expanding collection of information technology (IT) and operational technology (OT) cybersecurity best practices that may be applied to the EVSE environment to secure this equipment. In this paper, we survey publicly disclosed EVSE vulnerabilities, the impact of EV charger cyberattacks, and proposed security protections for EV charging technologies.

Patient privacy protection among university nursing students: A cross-sectional study.

Protecting a person's right to privacy and confidentiality is important in healthcare services. As future health professionals, nursing students should bear the same responsibility as qualified health professionals in protecting patient privacy. To investigate nursing students' practices of patient privacy protection and to identify factors associated with their practices. A cross-sectional study design was adopted. A two-part survey was used to collect two types of data on nursing students: (1) personal characteristics, including demographics, clinical experience and use of information and communication technology and social media and (2) practice of patient privacy protection, collected using the Patient Privacy Scale. A total of 319 nursing students aged 18 or above, studying pre-registration nursing programmes and who had attended at least one block of clinical placement, were recruited from a university in Hong Kong. The study received ethical approval from the Survey and Behavioural Research Ethics Committee of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The participants were informed of the study aim and written consent was obtained before completing the survey. The mean total score on the Patient Privacy Scale was 119.7 out of 135. Nursing students who were regular users of Instagram and those who had never taken photographs with patients and hence did not need to obtain patient consent were associated with better practices of patient privacy protection (higher total scores on the Patient Privacy Scale). The findings improve our understanding of nursing students' practice of patient privacy protection and the associated factors. This will inform the development and revision of current strategies to enhance nursing students' practice of patient privacy protection, especially their use of social media.

PENDAMPINGAN PEMANFAATAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI DAN KOMUNIKASI DALAM MENINGKATKAN MINAT BELAJAR SISWA MA PONPES AL ISLAM

One of the Field Experience Practices (PPL) service programs held at the Ma Ponpes Al Islam University of Bina Bangsa Academic Year 2022/2023 is information and communication technology socialization and training activities. The implementation of the Field Experience Practice (PPL) service program in the Ma Ponpes Al Islam environment aims to increase student interest in learning, in the development of information and communication technology so that the program can make Ma Ponpes Al Islam students more motivated in the world of information and communication technology. While the method of implementing the Field Experience Practice (PPL) service program includes information and communication technology education, motivation, and practice. The results of this PPL service activity are: 1) Increasing student interest in learning, 2) Increasing student knowledge and 3) increasing student motivation to learn Information and communication technology. Thus, the service carried out by the Bina Bangsa University Field Experience Practice Team (PPL) to the students of Ma Ponpes Al Islam in 2022 in information and communication technology socialization and training activities has been well realized.
