СИСТЕМА НЕПРЕРЫВНОГО ПОВЫШЕНИЯ КВАЛИФИКАЦИИ РАБОТНИКОВ ПОО ЧЕЛЯБИНСКОЙ ОБЛАСТИ В ЧАСТИ ОСВОЕНИЯ ДИСТАНЦИОННЫХ ОБРАЗОВАТЕЛЬНЫХ ТЕХНОЛОГИЙ

The system of continuous qualification refreshment of the staff worked out in Chelyabinsk Region Vocational Training Organization in order to get rid of professional deficit connected with the readiness to realize the educational process on the basis of distance learning technologies is discussed in the paper. The elements of formal (traditional), non-formal and informal types of continuous refreshment are concretized. The system of regional scientific and practical seminars on corresponding themes, listeners immersion into the informational space of the international conference “Secondary vocational training in informational society”, regional contest “Electronic educational resource for vocational educational organization”, distribution of regional innovative grounds activity results, the work of regional methodical unions condition informal continuous qualification refreshment. Educational and methodical manuals, scientific publications of SBU AVE “Chelyabinsk Institute of Vocational Training Development” that are represented in the system create an educational space for informal continuous qualification refreshment. The efficacy of the given system of continuous qualification refreshment is connected by the authors with the results of the research of educational process organization in vocational training institutions in conditions of self-isolation in spring and summer of 2020.

Василий Васильевич Давыдов в Нижневартовске: расширение образовательного пространства развивающего образования

Using one of the Russian regions as an example, the article describes the activities of an outstanding Russian psychologist and scientist V.V. Davydov during the period of active introduction of the technology of learning activity into the mass educational practice in Russian schools. We outline the problems V.V. Davydov was interested in, the ones connected with the practical implementation of the theoretical approach of his scientific school to the development of a new content, forms and methods of education. The applied researches of V.V. Davydov’s scientific school which were defined as the system of developmental learning by D.B. Elkonin—V.V. Davydov are still in demand. We describe the attitude of V.V. Davydov to the regional specifics of training teachers for the Elkonin— Davydov developmental learning system and to teaching primary school children with special educational needs within the learning activity framework. The article is based on our recollections, audio and video recordings of V.V. Davydov at a scientific and practical seminar, meetings with teachers and students of Nizhnevartovsk and Megion.

DIGITIZATION OF AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION AND ANALYSIS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS RESULTS

The international community is actively involved in the problems of creating and using modern e-devices in agricultural education. A specialist has to use modern information technology in his or her practical activity to realize the benefits of technology in any system, It should be noted that digital competence of teachers is an essential prerequisite for effective implementation of modern information technologies into the educational process. The work of international educational projects in agrarian area is focused on improving the methods and content of practical training, teaching and advanced training of already trained specialists. Teachers of agricultural universities and colleges, who study aspects in the fields of agriculture and teach agrarian disciplines are the target groups of the projects. The active participation of educational institutions in the work of the projects contributes to the implementation of modern information and communication technologies, the creation of quality e-resources on its base and the support of training of agricultural specialties. At seminars, trainings organized by projects teachers gain some experience in creating and implementing training materials, also they are involved in the development of quality educational material and the filling of electronic resources. The article discusses the process of digitization of modern agrarian education under the influence of the process of global computerization and the requirements of the modern information society. Here are some examples of modern VR technology that is already being used in agro-industry. The scheme of realization of the international experience in Ukrainian educational institutions through participation in international educational projects is presented. There is a description of international projects implemented by agrarian higher education institutions, partners, and e-learning elements that are implemented in the educational process based on project results, including measures aimed at improving the quality of educational services and teacher qualifications, such as trainings related to modern methods of teaching in agrarian education, practical seminars for teachers and students, study visits abroad to get acquainted with the agrarian education system, practical training bases. The structural model of functioning of the e-platform of knowledge on organic production is presented, the constituents of the platforms for providing educational activity in the field of organic production in Ukraine are described. Functionality of platform modules, interaction between them is described. The toolkit for providing advanced training of the teaching staff of agrarian institutions of higher education, formation of digital competences by introduction of the educational discipline "Dititalization in agriculture", creation of modern electronic educational materials, e-courses are described.

The Influence of the Quantity and Quality of Internal Athletics Competitions on the Rating of Lyceums in Regional Competitions

Purpose: To identify the impact of the quality and quantity of internal competitions held in the lyceums on the place of lyceums in the regional sports rating. 32 Lyceums of Kharkiv and Kharkiv Oblast were analyzed during 2016 2017, 2018 according to the following parameters: results of regional competitions in Athletics "Sport during life" by occupied place and the number of points scored in the total regional sports rating; the number and quality of the intranet competitions held by each lyceum during the year (recorded by experts). It was found that, despite the presence of a reliable correlation between the number of indicators, the quality of the internal competitions and the place of the lyceum in the regional rating, the greater influence on the place of the lyceum in the regional rating has the quality of the internal competitions (p <0,05), influence the number of internal competitions per year for the place of lyceum in the regional rating is not reliable (p> 0,05). Based on the data obtained, it can be recommended that representatives of regional sports organizations and the Athletics Federation conduct more practical seminars for lyceum physical education teachers in organizing and conducting athletics competitions.

Nursing pedagogy: Qualitative study of students’ nighttime practicum’s

The purpose of this descriptive qualitative study is to explore the lived experience of student nurses experiencing their first 12-hour nighttime practicum. Pedagogy, the art, and science of nursing directs the educational context of the nighttime practicum’s significant to how students acquire knowledge and skills. However, fatigue among the students working and studying at night has resulted in requests of duty to accommodate; more time off between shifts or no 12-hour shifts. The research question is what the lived experiences of student nurses enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in nursing program completing nighttime practicum during their consolidated practice experience? Two interviews occurred; beginning and end of the students’ practicum. Themes extracted included getting ready and prepared, meeting standards of fitness to practice, nursing praxis and practice activities, providing an environment to practice, and burden of fatigue. Findings from the students’ first night time practicum highlight that assignments and clinical practice seminars should count as clinical hours, consider 8-hour versus 12-hour shifts, or five days off after a 12-hour set.

Actual problems of the pedagogical mastership development of the musical art teacher under conditions of postgraduate pedagogical education

The article is devoted to highlighting the current state of the development of pedagogical mastership of musical art teachers in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education. The modern experience of the development of pedagogical mastership in formal education is considered. The experience of using thematic, author's courses for teachers on the basis of special courses, master-classes, creative workshops, in-depth training, thematic training is described. The description of innovative forms of teacher training in the course period is given. The experience of the organization of non-formal education on the image problem is considered. the The most common forms of training teachers in non-formal education as scientific and pedagogical conferences, workshops, trainings, master-classes, round tables, problem-oriented theoretical and practical seminars, methodical meetings, schools of pedagogical skills, participation of teachers in creative groups associations are described. The experience of organizing professional self-development of musical art teachers in the conditions of informal education, which are based on the basis of modern networked, electronic forms of self-study of teachers, is described. The necessity of preparing individual programs of development of pedagogical skills for the effective training of teachers has been determined. The results of the research in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education, which demonstrate priorities in the types and forms of education among teachers of musical art are described. The ways of introducing new forms of teaching on the development of pedagogical mastership of musical art teachers in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education are defined. Among the prospects for the development of pedagogical skills of teachers in postgraduate education, the substantive content of distant, network, e-learning of teachers, selection of effective learning technologies, formation of a bank of innovative forms and methods, the need to prepare scientific and methodological support for training musical art teachers in postgraduate pedagogical education are determined

Specifics of Translation of Emotive Vocabulary (Case study: “Howl's Moving Castle” Novel by Diana Wynne Jones)

The expression of an emotional state is a main feature that distinguishes fiction from other literary trends. The problem of emotivity is now among the most discussed issues in anthropocentric linguistics, but despite the researchers’ great attention, many of its aspects are still debatable. In the present research, features of the language transfer of emotions are investigated in the translation of fiction from English into Russian. The novel «Howl’s moving castle» by Diana Wynne Jones (1986) was selected as a material for monitoring the process of translating emotive vocabulary. Authors sought to classify the emotive vocabulary in an artistic work, and also consider and analyze the translation of this lexicon into Russian that was translated by Jones (2013). The following methods were used to solve tasks: A comparative analysis of the translation with original text, and transformational, quantitative, statistical analysis. The theoretical basis of research included classifications of emotive vocabulary that was proposed by Shakhovski (2008), and the classification of emotions by Izard (2007), as well as the classification of translational transformations by Barkhudarov (1975) and Komissarov (1990). The theoretical significance of research lies in the fact that the text emotivity phenomenon is considered according to the comparative linguistics, in general, and the theory of translation in particular. The equivalence of concepts of equivalence and adequacy of translation is justified and clearly demonstrated. The practical value of study is determined by the possibility of applying its results in the artistic translation, in teaching the methodology of translation, in development of didactic manuals on the theory and practice of translation, in the teaching English at senior courses of universities on practical lessons and seminars in special courses.

Validating the Narrative Reflection Assessment Rubric (NARRA) for reflective narratives in higher education

This article focuses on the validity of the new Narrative Reflection Assessment Rubric (NARRA) used to assess students’ reflective narratives in higher education. We evaluate its formulation and usefulness from an instructional point of view. To those ends, we engage in both a quantitative and a qualitative analysis, using data from 100+ preservice teachers before and after they attend a Reflective Practice Seminar. We find that there are statistically significant differences in student scores between the pre-seminar test and the post-seminar test, suggesting both that students learned to reflect in the framework of the seminar and that the rubric is a valid and reliable instrument to measure this learning. We also establish five categories about the usefulness of the rubric: description, intrapersonal inquiry, interpersonal inquiry, argumentation and improvement. We conclude that the NARRA is a useful tool for identifying students’ current level of reflection in higher education.

Розвиток громадянського суспільства як об’єкт наукового дослідження

У статті проаналізовано стан і тенденції наукового дослідження розвитку громадянського суспільства у вітчизняному суспільствознавстві. Наведено розроблену М. Розумним періодизацію еволюції наукових поглядів на питання розвитку громадянського суспільства в Україні. Наголошено, що дані питання охоплюють широке коло проблем і носять міждисциплінарний характер. Подано стислий огляд колективних досліджень, наукових розробок, монографій, аналітичних доповідей та записок, які присвячені різноманітним аспектам розвитку громадянського суспільства. Запропоновано тематичний розподіл зазначених вище наукових робіт. Встановлено основні напрями дослідження зарубіжного, в першу чергу, європейського досвіду щодо розвитку громадянського суспільства, а також взаємодії органів державної влади з громадськістю як критерію ефективності механізмів державного сприяння цьому процесу. Виявлено недостатній рівень комплексного аналізу державної політики сприяння розвитку громадянського суспільства у вітчизняному суспільствознавстві, відсутність наукових дослідницьких робіт та монографій, присвячених цілісному, всебічному і ґрунтовному дослідженню її теоретичних та практичних аспектів. Зроблено висновок про необхідність більш глибокого, детального і ретельного вивчення питань розвитку громадянського суспільства з боку вітчизняної науки державного управління.

Smoking and attitudes towards its cessation among native and international dental students in Lithuania

BackgroundDental professionals are uniquely positioned to discourage smoking among their patients. However, little is known about the role of cultural background and attitudes towards smoking in the education of these professionals. Our study aimed to compare native Lithuanian and international dental students’ smoking habits, knowledge about the harmfulness of smoking and attitudes towards smoking cessation.MethodsWe conducted a cross-sectional survey of smoking and its cessation among dental students at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (Kaunas, Lithuania) in 2012. All Lithuanian and international dental students in each year of dental school were invited to participate in the survey during a compulsory practical class or seminar. Altogether 606 students participated in the survey with a response rate of 84.2%. Explanatory factorial analysis (EFA), multivariate Discriminant Analysis (DA) and Binary Logistic Regression (BLR) served for the statistical analyses.ResultsThe percentages of occasional/current regular smokers were 41.1% and 55.7% (p = 0.068) among Lithuanian and international male students, and 22.7% and 22.9% (p = 0.776) among Lithuanian and international female students, respectively. The international dental students had a deeper knowledge of the harmfulness/addictiveness of smoking and held more positive attitudes towards smoking cessation among their patients than did the native Lithuanian dental students.ConclusionsThe findings of the study underscored the need to properly incorporate tobacco cessation training into the curriculum of dental education. However, consideration of the cultural background of dental students in building up their capacity and competence for intervening against smoking is essential.
