Religious Tolerance Through Stone Sculpture Production: The Case of Indonesian Sculptors

The purpose of this research is to analyze the value of tolerance reflected in the stone-sculpture production in Muntilan. This study used a sociology research approach with an ethnographic research design. The data collection techniques were conducted through ethnographic observation and interviews as well as document data. The results showed that the stone craft production in Muntilan is local wisdom that reflects the value of tolerance. Most of the rock artisans are Moslems, but they continued stone sculpture production that is part of the Hindhu-Buddist tradition. The product is oriented towards consumer demand, which is a contrast to the beliefs of sculptors such as Buddha statues, Hindu deities, statues of Jesus, as well as statues of other religions. The sculptures separated themselves between work and religious issues. It illustrates an open attitude as well as tolerance in accepting and understanding differences. Such local wisdom with a long-standing tolerance value in the community is a potential for community development in realizing a harmonious and peaceful life.

THE GUARANTEE OF THE APPLICATION OF CAPITAL PUNISHMENT ON A PEACEFULL AND HARMONIOUS LIFE: PROOF FROM AROUND THE WORLD

The application of capital punishment has become worldwide debate. European human rights have abolished the capital punishment in their legal system. However, some countries, including United States, have still established the capital punishment. In some Asia countries have still implemented capital punishment, including China, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia. Those countries have received a significant benefit from the implementation of capital punishment. In this article, author will explore some benefit of capital punishment to create a peaceful and harmonious life. To create basic understanding, author have used theoretical background on crime-punishment connection. Author has also examined the restraining effects of the application of capital punishment on crime in several countries, and presenting some quantitative data. The final segment has displayed a fleeting discussion, and offering some generalizations. The purpose provides a clear conclusion, referred on the practice of various countries. This experience will have a significant benefit for development Islamic law in Aceh, Indonesia.

SYMBOLIC MEANINGS OF KEMBAR MAYANG IN JAVANESE WEDDING CEREMONY AT DESA MEDAN SINEMBAH KECAMATAN TANJUNG MORAWA KABUPATEN DELI SERDANG

This study is aimed at analyzing the symbolic meanings of Kembar Mayang conducted at Desa Medan Sinembah Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa Kabupaten Deli Serdang predominantly by Javanese ethnic. Kembar Mayang in this study is concerned with the Javanese wedding ceremony. Descriptive qualitative method is applied in the study describing social phenomena occurring naturally aiming to help us to understand the world in which we live and why things are in the way they are. The main theory to support the study is the theory of Semiotic. The results show there are five forms of symbolic meanings in Kembar Mayang: Manuk-Manukan as symbol of Loyalty; Uler-Uleran of Struggle; Walang-Walangan of Persistence; Pecut-Pecutan of Optimism and Keris-Kerisan of Wisdom. The five forms of rites are compulsory in the wedding ceremony with the main objective to achieve a happy, harmonious and peaceful life for the bride and the bridegroom and this is in line with the general concept of marriage.

Майбутнє як філософська проблема

Розуміння часу дає шанс розкрити таємниці світу й людського життя. Особливо загадковим із часових станів для людини виглядає майбутнє. Майбутнє як один із станів часу постає і як необхідний складник світу, в якому ми знаходимо себе, і як визначальний вимір людського життя. Проблема майбутнього має декілька аспектів. Насамперед, це онтологічна проблема. Епістемологічний аспект проблеми майбутнього стосується можливості його пізнання. Окремо постають проблеми майбутнього в галузях філософії природничих наук і філософії суспільства. Філософія людини також не є повноцінною без роздумів про людське, антропологічне майбутнє. Розуміння філософами майбутнього в його різних аспектах залежить від загальної концептуалізації проблем часу. Кожна концепція часу з тих, що склалися й набули визнання у філософії, має свій образ майбутнього і викликає свої питання щодо його онтологічного і епістемологічного статусу.

INTERNALISASI KEBIJAKAN PEMERINTAH ACEH BERDASARKAN UNDANG –UNDANG NOMOR 11 TAHUN 2006 TENTANG PEMERINTAH ACEH

law number 11 Year 2006 was the implementation of the contents of the notes kesefahaman a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to Helsinki Government Indonesia with the free Aceh Movement (GAM) on 15 August 2005. This MOU is the beginning of a permanent peace in Aceh. Objective of writing this was the development of the implementation of the BAL after peace in Aceh. This research with qualitative and descriptive analysis method, by using the technique of observes and interviews. The goal of his research can contribute to the legislature in order to understand the stages of the process of legislation happen polemic in the realization of this legislation as BAL due to rules of normative binding, but in terms of the realization of the implementation of the special autonomy policy is not as easy as normative rules contained in regulation perundangan-undangan. It is given the legal system in Aceh. The policy objectives have not yet reached target BAL of the Aceh government readiness in meeting the needs of the community. In addition, the implementation of this legislation requires specific strategies and the DPRA capacity is crucial in separating political and administrative functions for the achievement of the input, output and outcomes in public life in post peace in Aceh.Keywords: Development Of The BAL. Pendidikan Pluralis-Multikultural: Upaya Membangun Kaharmonisan Antar Sesama

Abstract A peaceful and harmonious life is the dream and the hope of everyone in any country they live in. None of them wants conflict, hostility, revange or war distroying their beautiful life and taking many victims. So plural-multicultural education becomes one of the important things that need to be taught to all citizens especially children. Thus, they will gradually understand the importance of differences in ethnicity, race, language, and religion dan mayakini bahwa Differences are not to be contested but to be met and matched. Therefore, the effort to inculcate the teachings of pluralism and multiculturalism needs to be supported by all parties, not only teachers and lecturers, but also religious leaders from various existing religions. By the supporting from leaders of across religions and culture a sense of togetherness, tolerance and unity will be realized and finally, peace became a reality. POLITIK ATAS NAMA ALLAH

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> Islamism has all of the characteristics of other secular<br />ideologies, such as the faith that it has and offers the one and only<br />absolute truth and thus claims that it reserves the right to impose<br />law which must be obeyed by the society. Its ideological thought<br />which can endanger peace is that political views are considered<br />to be truth. On this basis, the society tends to be mapped out<br />according to the right/wrong schema and therefore the owners<br />of truth feel legitimized to disregard and oppress groups which<br />they consider wrong. This has a serious consequence for realistic<br />understanding of what politics is. One typical, main characteristic<br />of an ideological thought is that obliterating enemies is considered<br />as an essential part of political duties, which is a principle to watch<br />out for. Politics is not theory but praxis (action) and hence there<br />is no absoluteness. Consequently, there are always pro and contra,<br />the need for consideration, and the possibility of compromises. In<br />all political process, there would be the winner and loser, but there<br />would be no right and wrong. POST-TRAUMATIC GROWTH AND RESILIENT REINTEGRATION OF THE UKRAINIAN COMBATANTS

The peculiarities of human behaviour in crisis situations are always in the focus of scholars; numerous empirical studies on individual aspects of stress, complex life situations, coping strategies, post-stress recovery have been done recently. However, despite wide variety of research in this field, many aspects remain insufficiently highlighted, in particular, effective methods of combatants’ psychological rehabilitation. This article studies the relationship between the severity of PTSD symptoms and post-traumatic growth and resiliency and their impact on the adaptation of the combatants participated in the hostilities at the East of Ukraine. The following research methods were applied: PCL-5, the questionnaire assessing the adaptation states - "OSADA" (S. Yakovenko), the Posttraumatic Growth Questionnaire (R. Tadeshi and L. Kalhaun, in the adaptation of M. Magomed-Eminova); Resilience Questionnaire (K. Connor, J. Davidson). The research results show that 31-45 year-old people are the best adapted, and the worst case is for people over 45 year old; there are correlation between adaptability and coping strategies, post-traumatic growth, resiliency, psychological hardiness and psychological well-being. The concept of resilient reintegration as a key aspect of adaptation of demobilized combatants is defined. The obtained data show that most of the combatants aged 31 to 45 are well-adapted (resiliently reintegrated, aware of the value of the experience gained in the war and use it in everyday peaceful life), the combatants younger than 30 years of age are characterized as having successful adaptation or quasi-adaptation (high psychological well-being is achieved due to coping strategies of avoidance and dissimulation); quasi-adaptation and disadaptation (unawareness on the positive impact of combat experience, lack of resources for productive functioning in a peaceful life, dissimulation and avoidance of traumatic memories) are characteristic to the combatants older than 45 years of age. It is proved that a person’s awareness on available means of assistance in difficult situations and available self-help skills support the sense of controllability over the situation and, consequently, help overcome more effectively the problems faced by the person in the difficult situation. &nbsp

ALCOHOL AND ADAPTATION DISORDERS IN COMBATANTS (RESULTS OF THE PILOT RESEARCH)

As a result of the study, specific mental and behavioral disorders due to alcohol use in ATO participants were determined taking into account the levels and style of alcohol consumption. The relationship between disorders due to alcohol consumption and the consequences of combat psychological trauma is shown. It has been established that, on the whole, the transition from the conditions of a positional war to the conditions of a peaceful life is accompanied by a decrease in alcohol consumption (by individuals independent of it), a decrease in the level of harmful consequences, an improvement in mental status and a slight improvement in the quality of life, however, there are exceptions to this rule, especially with regard to stressful disorders - the level of exposure to a stressful event remains almost unchanged. Neither the army men nor the demobilized military found any adaptive (useful) medium- and long-term effects of alcohol (the transient anxiolytic and hypnotic sedative effects of alcohol have no long-term positive results (as opposed to negative ones). Psychopathological factors that affect disorders due to alcohol consumption remain almost unchanged during the transition from combat conditions to peaceful life, the influence of only certain components changes. Therefore, measures aimed at preventing maladaptation (that is, the formation of new and exacerbation of existing mental and behavioral disorders, including drug addiction) should adhere to the principle of continuity.It is advisable that between specialists and institutions suitable for the hygiene of the military and the demobilized, as high quality communication as possible is maintained along the methodological guidelines for the provision of medical and rehabilitation assistance. A significant level of consumption of psychoactive substances among combatants may indicate an unmet demand for adaptogens (both chemical and non-chemical origin), the use of which would not lead to the negative consequences of alcohol and other surfactants. This is a challenge for modern military psychopharmacology, military psychology and military psychophysiology.

Suriye Sahnesinde Etkin Rus ve Türk Dış Politikası

Russia and Turkey have been involved in remarkable redefinitions of their foreign policies while navigating through turbulent times in the Post-Cold War era. This has manifested in a search of being recognized as a great power. The tragic civil war in Syria has been the theatre of these ambitions of these two states in highly controversial ways. They have been on the opposite sides until recently on the essential question of the regime change in that country. The risk of a direct fight has even been observed when Turkish air force got a Russian jet down. However, a rapid rapprochement started due to Turkish priority shift from the regime change to the prevention of Kurdish autonomy and the alienation from US; and Russian enthusiasm to get the cooperation of an ardent anti-regime NATO member like Turkey. It can be said that Russia and Turkey have been more process-oriented than result-oriented because they have been compelled to see the limits of their power and influence. As a result, they seem to prefer to focus on the process since they seem to reach their primary objective of showing their salience. All in all, one can only hope for a peaceful and democratic life for Syrians whom tremendously suffered also as a result of an imbroglio of all these global and regional powers’ policies.

The anthropological assessment of the Late Roman cemetery at somogyszil-Dögkúti dűlő

Abstract The results of a general anthropological examination of 140 individuals from a late Roman period cemetery at Somogyszil-Dögkút site are presented in this paper. The population had a more or less balanced sex ratio, lived a fundamentally peaceful life suggested by the low frequencey of bone injuries, and according to their morphoscopic traits, they all belonged to the Caucasoid group. Based on the biological distances calculated from selected linear measurements of male crania, the population of Somogyszil-Dögkút proved to be quite similar to several other late Roman period cemeteries in Transdanubia, as well as to some local Avar period series. This raises the possibility of a significant local continuity between the late Roman and late Avar period on this territory, however other potential explanations cannot be ruled out. Some anthropological characteristics of the human skeletal material unearthed from graves oriented differently than the cemetery's norm suggest the presence of immigrants in the community. Their biological background cannot be traced from the present data, however a few skeletal evidence proposes the probability of a Sarmatian origin.

Gender Equality and Communication

In ancient time there were many Rishi and Sadhus who taught many virtues about peaceful life, but at the same time, Gargee and Maitrayee were too brilliant ladies, who made our literature rich and strong enough. That means they were educated nicely with their parents. Here we could mention the part of gender equality. In thirteen century at the time of Chakradhar, Saint Dnyandev and Saint Namdev, all three gave enough space to women as a part of Women Empowerment. In the 16th Century, Chhatrapati Shivray treated all women in with great honor. Here men & women respect each other but it happened very rarely and not all times; and the question of gender equality occurred. Gender Equality means all genders should enjoy the same rights, resources, opportunities & protections. But if we have a look over the society, despite many national & international affirming their human rights, women have less access to property ownership, credit, training & employment. Although there are lots of rules & laws to protect against gender equality, the mentality of society is not changing accordingly. In the Indian Constitution and even in the preamble it is clearly mentioned about Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity to all; the question of Gender Equality is arising all time and all where. For this, the very important role which is known as the fourth pillar of democracy, that is Media means ways of communication are very important. Here Printing media, broadcasting media, and Digital media have to play their roles more effectively than before to achieve the goal of gender equality.

Generative Neural Networks for Anomaly Detection in Crowded Scenes

Security surveillance is critical to social harmony and people's peaceful life. It has a great impact on strengthening social stability and life safeguarding. Detecting anomaly timely, effectively and efficiently in video surveillance remains challenging. This paper proposes a new approach, called S <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sup> -VAE, for anomaly detection from video data. The S <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sup> -VAE consists of two proposed neural networks: a Stacked Fully Connected Variational AutoEncoder (S <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">F</sub> -VAE) and a Skip Convolutional VAE (S <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">C</sub> -VAE). The S <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">F</sub> -VAE is a shallow generative network to obtain a model like Gaussian mixture to fit the distribution of the actual data. The S <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">C</sub> -VAE, as a key component of S <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sup> -VAE, is a deep generative network to take advantages of CNN, VAE and skip connections. Both S <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">F</sub> -VAE and S <sub xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">C</sub> -VAE are efficient and effective generative networks and they can achieve better performance for detecting both local abnormal events and global abnormal events. The proposed S <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sup> -VAE is evaluated using four public datasets. The experimental results show that the S <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sup> -VAE outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithms. This phenomenon is interesting because in the midst of religious differences they can build a peaceful and harmonious socio-cultural life system. While in other areas differences in religion or belief become the legitimacy or trigger of conflicts and violence between groups in society. The impact of religious conflict or violence is the occurrence of inequality, insecurity, especially for minority groups, which in turn will affect national integration and unity. From this phenomenon, it is interesting to study how Balun people can process differences in religion, so they can foster and build a culture of tolerance in society. This study aims to uncover the paradigm, factors and models or forms of tolerance in Balun Village, Turi Subdistrict, Lamongan Regency, using research methods with qualitative approaches to informant units, namely Christian (Hindu) and Muslim (figures) and Balun Village Devices. Data collection methods using the method of observation (observation), in-depth interviews (depth interviews) with the Snowball model and literature review and FGD (Focus Group Discusion). Analysis of data using multidisciplinary science, meaning that depends on the data obtained, if the data obtained by religious data analysis uses religious studies and so on. The results of the study, the first Balun community paradigm in understanding its religious teachings (Islam, Hinduism, Christianity) is a substantive inclusive paradigm. Second, the factors underlying the culture of tolerance in Balun are the factors that are understanding of the religious teachings that are substantive-inclusive, pluralist political policies, tolerant socio-cultural traditions, maintained interfaith traditions of marriage. The tolerance model found in Balun is, first, Plural Village (Device) Structure. Second, Multicultural (Democratic) Family, Third, Ngaturi / Kenduri Multicultural and Fourth, Inclusive Da'wah. Hopefully the toll road model built in Balun Village can be an inspiration and mirror for other Indonesian people who are prone to conflict, so that our hopes of building a united, tolerant, advanced, peaceful and harmonious Indonesia can be realized.

ENTERPRISE AS AN EFFICIENT INSTRUMENT FOR REINTEGRATION OF DEMOBILIZED FROM THE ATO AREA

Introduction. The article clarifies that the problem of reintegration into the peaceful life of people who have been operating in extreme conditions is now becoming particularly relevant. This is due to the fact that, throughout the world, natural disasters, interethnic and interregional conflicts have become more frequent. The number of victims of hostilities and the number of servicemen who are participants in local conflicts within the country has significantly increased. Having a peculiar life experience, they represent a category of people who need a special approach. At the forefront is the question of the need of adaptation to new conditions, the restructuring of the psyche and social behavior in a peaceful way.The hypothesis of scientific research is to determine the attractiveness of entrepreneurship for demobilized from the ATO area. The use of this form of business allows you to get undeniable advantages for the demobilized from the ATO area – it is a real opportunity to organize their own business, since they have a stable income business, to commit themselves and their family to reintegration into a peaceful life.The aim of this study is to substantiate the most appropriate business model for demobilized from the ATO area and to determine the specifics of its use.The theoretical and methodological basis is the position and conclusions of modern economic theory, methodological and methodological developments of domestic and foreign scientists on small business issues, legislative acts of the Verkhovna Rada, resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, decisions and normative documents of executive bodies of Ukraine on social support for demobilized from the ATO area. The methods of economic statistics and logical analysis are used to determine the factors influencing the dynamics of reintegration of demobilized ATOs, factor and comparative analyzes for determining the most optimal methods of social adaptation of demobilized from the ATO area.Results. The signs of entrepreneurship demobilized from the ATO area, its place and role in the state system of adaptation and reintegration of ATO participants are determined; the institutional features of the formation of various types of entrepreneurial activities for demobilized from the ATO area are disclosed.Conclusions. The research of conceptual aspects of entrepreneurship has made it possible to find out the theoretical understanding of the features of this toolkit and to reveal the specifics of its use as an interactive reintegration toolkit to the demobilized society from the ATO area.

AZERBAYCAN TÜRK KÜLTÜRÜNDE İLKBAHAR BAYRAMI

This study deals with the spring festival which is celebrated with great excitement among Azerbaijani Turks. This festival is organised for celebrating the end of winter and the renewal of nature. The main purpose of this article is to give information about changes in nature during the festival month, various preparations for the festival and about the concept of “cersenbe” which is generally known as “celime;” and to elaborate on the celebrations organised for the festival. In addition, this study will also examine the similar and different characteristics of spring festivals organised by Turkish people in regions or geographies upon which they have lived and will investigate whether there are cultural ties between the ceremonies. As a method, this research is based on the information obtained from the primary sources and people related to the subject. Information collected from those who have first-hand knowledge is examined through making a comparison with other resources and ceremonies which were organized in the Bairams are found to have been organized by Azerbaijani Turks for years. This study provide information about preparations for the festival, “semeni” belief and its practices and the “Semeni halvah”. It also explains organization processes of various ceremonies such as “Bayram Toyu,” “Han Bezeme,” “Kose-Kose,” and “Godu-Godu”. Celebrations organized during the aforementioned bairams and ceremonies aims at wishing for a fertile year and for a healthy and peaceful life. Particularly, the “Semeni halvah” and the beliefs about it still exist among the people. As a result it is concluded that the festival known as Newroz has been celebrated by the Turks as a spring festival since ancient times and it has maintained its inherent beliefs up to the present.

Rol del Gerente Educativo y su Interacción Comunitaria: Una Perspectiva Sociocrítica

En el actual momento histórico de transformación educativa que vive el mundo, se requiere reafirmar y consolidar el trabajo conjunto del binomio escuela-comunidad. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo generar la aproximación teórica del rol del gerente educativo y su interacción con la comunidad, bajo el enfoque socio crítico, así como también en su entorno, representado en este caso, por los Consejos Comunales. Dichos Consejos Comunales como instancia de participación protagónica de los ciudadanos y ciudadanas en las acciones de la cotidianidad del quehacer social, se han convertido en una herramienta técnica, operativa y funcional que viabiliza la vida comunitaria en sana paz. La investigación fue desarrollada bajo el enfoque cualitativo - interpretativo, a través del método fenomenológico – hermenéutico, lo que permitió develar, conocer, interpretar comprender y construir la aproximación teórica desde el conocimiento empírico y epistémico de los informantes clave. Las técnicas de análisis para el procesamiento de la información fueron el análisis categorial, la estructuración, la contrastación, la triangulación y la teorización. Los resultados obtenidos permitieron conocer las debilidades sobre la interacción de la gerencia con los integrantes de comunidad, así como el desconocimiento en el contexto jurídico y alcance en las políticas públicas y sociales, denotándose una separación que perjudica la formación integral de los estudiantes. Por tanto, se recomienda profundizar el trabajo aquí planteada a fin de permitir la práctica de estrategias y acciones pedagógicas que pudieran beneficiar en ambos sentidos.

Abstract&#x0D; This paper attempts to critically trace the Arab woman fugitive who flees from what the so-called backward world to the so-called modern and civilized world. It is a loss in a hypocrite world where in each part of it people assume humanity and coexistence. However, the real truth is that each person is a racist and ethnic against the other. The paper examines the postcolonial text that reveals the instill gap of racism and inferiority of East to the West. Gaining the Western identity by an Easterner is not an end of abusing and disdaining, it is also a new door for a new name of discrimination. It investigates the writer’s fragile identity for feeling guilty towards herself, her family, her society, her religion and that she deserves honor killing.
