Implementation of Counseling Services for Students in Pandemi Time

This study aims to analyse the Implementation of Counseling Services for Students in Pandemi Time. This study uses a type of qualitative research method. Bogdan and Taylor define qualitative methods as research procedures that produce descriptive data in the form of written words orally from people and observable behavior. Kirk and Miller define that qualitative research is a particular tradition in social science that is fundamentally dependent on human observation both in its field and in terminology. The conclusion that the researchers got from this mini-research or observation is that in providing guidance and counseling services, not all counseling teachers provided this service to students during a pandemic, and some did not even provide the service, if any, the service provided by the guidance teacher. Counseling to service students is only in the form of a warning if the student's hair is long, a warning for being late or not paying tuition fees, a warning regarding students who rarely attend school, informing students who have received scholarships, and also guidance if there is a competition. That's all the services provided.

Sistem Informasi Pembayaran SPP Menggunakan Whatsapp Gateway di SMK Tamansiswa Padang

Currently, paying tuition fees at SMK Tamansiswa Padang is still done manually, which is still recording payment reports in a financial book. In addition, the treasurer has other obstacles, such as busy teaching and additional duties from the principal. So it takes a long time to record payments and calculate the number of payments from paying students. This information system uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method with an iterative development model. This model has several stages: design, analysis, implementation, testing, and evaluation. The research results on the spp payment information system using the WhatsApp gateway at SMK Tamansiswa Padang are from the tests carried out from black-box testing, white box testing, and beta testing to get valid results and the system can run well.

An information system is already a necessity by a school in running a better administrative system. The administrative information system using information technology with the help of computers is very helpful in the smooth operation of the school. One of the school's operations that is the principal for supporting operations is the payment of Educational Development Contributions (SPP). A more effective and efficient tuition payment procedure can streamline all school operational activities. This study aims to improve the administration of tuition payments with a whatsapp gateway-based system. This system can perform all SPP payment procedures on a mobile or mobile basis. The data processed in this study were sourced from the administration system for paying tuition fees at Mukomuko High School (SMA). The system uses PHP programming language tools and MySQL database. The result of this research is a computerized SPP payment administration system. So that the school administration can control tuition payments more effectively and efficiently. So that this system is very precise and fast in the administration of tuition payments and becomes a reference for other administrations in order to assist the administrative process and improve time efficiency and provide the right information.

The Effects of Poor Financial Condition to Needy Students of Private and Public Colleges of Mafinga Town Council, Iringa Tanzania

The study was conducted to find out the effects of poor financial condition to needy students of private and public colleges in Mafinga Town Council, Iringa Tanzania. The study used a cross-sectional study design based on mixed research approach. Primary data were collected using questionnaires, interviews and focus group discussions while secondary data were obtained through documentary reviews. Both purposive and random sampling techniques were used in selecting 30 respondents and 10 key informants for this study. The collected data were analysed using SPSS Version 20 to compute descriptive statistics such as percentages and frequencies while the results were presented in the form of tables and word text narration. The study found that inability to pay tuition fees, inability to meet basic needs (food, clothing, and accommodation), inability to buy books and supplies, inability to meet medical emergencies, college dropout, affect academic performance and taking much more time to stay in college and complete studies were found to be the major effects of poor financial conditions of needy students.
 The study recommended that, the government and other agencies should establish entreprenuership education to the college students particularly to the needy students so as to develop business activities while learning without affect their academic performance, offering financial literacy from which students will have the ability to read, analyzed, manage and communicate personal financial conditions that affect their well-being, giving them learning materials and special scholarship to those who are willingly to learn with monitoring them during entire period of their learning.

The Response of Tanzania Higher Learning Institutions to e- Learning during Covid-19 Pandemic

This study examined how the Tanzanian Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs) responded to the e-learning implementation during the COVID-19 pandemic period. It employed the Actor Network Theory that informs the socio-technical interactions. The study employed an explorative case study design with qualitative techniques, involving a total of 13 participants from selected HLIs. A thematic analysis framework was used to analyze data. The study revealed that HLIs in Tanzania have partially implemented e-learning systems and there is limited use of e-learning technology among HLIs in Tanzania. The e-learning implementation is in terms of tuition fee payment, examination results, online learning and presentation of research proposals through mobile technologies and Zoom. It is important for the government to make more emphasis on development of e-learning policies which will increase participation, commitment and accountability in HLIs. It is also important for HLIs to redefine e-learning strategies and develop facilities that will enhance transformations in teaching and learning amidst the Covid 19 Pandemic. This requires good internet networks as well as availability of robust learning management systems. Furthermore, HLIs should establish collaboration with other learning institutions within and outside the country for sustainable e-learning outcomes.

How COVID-19 Has Exacerbated Inequality in Higher Education in Brazil

Drawing on educational census data and a review of news articles and higher education policies in Brazil, this article examines the impact of COVID-19 on the access and retention of the low-income Brazilian population in higher education. Guided by the question, “What is the impact of COVID-19 on the most vulnerable population in Brazil in terms of access to, and retention in higher education?”, the paper is structured in two sections: the first offers a short historical overview of Brazilian higher education; the second examines the impact of the pandemic on student retention in higher education, looking at factors such as social isolation, job and income precarity, use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), internet access, and technological resources. I argue that distance education offered by private higher education institutions benefits the privileged students and that the effects of the pandemic are detrimental to the socially disadvantaged students since those who are in public universities do not always have access to technology, and those who study in private universities feel the impact of not being able to pay tuition fees, besides the loss of several jobs in different sectors. In conclusion, I recommend policy initiatives to improve access to higher education.

Management Efforts of Muhammadiyah Middle School Management in Sidoarjo in the Covid-19 Era

The assessment method used in this research is a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and FGD with ten informants, namely the Head of Muhammadiyah Middle School in Sidoarjo. The data analysis technique uses three steps in collecting research results, namely data reduction (data reduction), data presentation (data display), and drawing and testing conclusions or verification. The results of this study are as follows: The school anticipates students who do not have Learning From Home (BDR) support facilities, limited internet access and financial constraints by setting up tabs provided at school, these tabs can be used by students to do assignments. The strategies applied are very diverse, including: Allocating teacher supervision funds for other needs, providing motivation and stimulus so that teachers can deliver learning optimally, collaborating with filmmakers to make learning videos, holding MSG (Morning Spiritual Gathering) activities or referred to as Ngaji, Briefing, and Berinfaq, while also seeking donations for students to pay tuition fees. Implementation of short-term and long-term plans: looking for a learning format that can be maximized, trying to foster parental trust in the school, trying to build communication with students and parents through activities that support education, collaborating with parents so as to foster an understanding that shared responsibility, focus on learning that is important for students' self-development, and improve the technological capabilities of students and teachers to be able to innovate in each other's learning.

Analisis Perencanaan dan Penggunaan Keuangan Mahasiswa pada Masa Covid

This study aims to analyze the financial planning of students and analyze the use of student finances in the continuity of paying tuition fees. The type of research is descriptive quantitative research. This research was conducted on S1 Management students of STIE Bina Karya Tebing Tinggi with population of 2900 with a sample of 352 students, with variable X = financial behavior pattern and variable Y = financial stress. Questionnaire using Googleform Data processing using SPSS Windos program. The results showed that the ability of students to make financial planning in the face of the Covid 19 Pandemic was good, which could be seen from the average value of the financial behavior pattern variable which was 2.42 with high category, although there were some behaviors that had to be improved in order to minimize or reduce the financial stress of the student concerned. For the financial stress variable, it can be seen that students have a moderate level of financial stress, with an average value of 2.09. However, it is necessary to make and record budget and expenditure plans, both daily and monthly for the pocket money they receive so that all forms of income and expenses from students can be seen and also controlled by the students themselves.

ANALISIS PENERIMA BANTUAN BEASISWA PROGRAM STUDI TEKNIK INFORMATIKA MENGGUNAKAN METODE MOORA DAN TOPSIS

During the current pandemic, there are many permanent or temporary termination of employment by the company so that it has a very significant impact on the income of parents or students, where the reduced income generated makes it difficult for students to pay tuition fees every year. Therefore, in this study, a comparative analysis of the feasibility of students to be able to receive scholarship assistance will be carried out using the Moora and Topsis methods. Moora method is one of the methods in a decision support system where the way it works is by creating a normalization matrix and calculating the optimization value of each attribute, resulting in a ranking that is done by reducing the maximum and minimum values. While Topsis method is a method that produces rankings by making alternative preferences and comparing the results of the best alternatives. The variables used in the simulation of the eligibility analysis of scholarship recipients are the Grade Point Average (GPA), Parents' Income, House Type and Children's Dependents. The results of the research using the Moora method get an accuracy value of 70% , while the Topsis method gets an accuracy value of 80%. So it can be said that the Moora method produces better decisions in the selection of eligibility for scholarship recipients in the Informatics Study Program

That matter can be seen based on existing data, procedures, infrastructure and software as well responsible and competent human resources. Looking at the higher learning institutions, there is no question that the current methods for paying student fees are inefficient, inconvenient, and wasteful of time. In addition, the rise in the number of students studying in higher learning institutions has led to long frustrating queues and overcrowding in most financial institutions during payment of student fees. This paper sought to design and implement a secure block chain-based payment system for higher learning institutions in developing countries. Students are to use the proposed payment system to pay tuition fees and other student fees to their respective higher educational institution. In addition, students are to use the proposed payment to pay for goods and services provided by the institution and other merchants in the institution’s premises. In this study, object oriented software development methodology was used to implement the proposed payment system. The proposed system consists of a mobile e-wallet, RESTful API, and blockchain as the core component of the API.

Implementasi Metode Promethee dalam Penentuan Penerima Bantuan Zakat pada Mahasiswa

During the payment of a single tuition fee (UKT) every semester, students are always faced with the problem of outstanding students but unable to pay tuition fees. Therefore, the university provides a solution to give zakat obtained from lecturers to outstanding and underprivileged students through the selection process. So far, the student selection process is still done manually, not using a system or program. So that the distribution of educational aid recipients (zakat) is considered not on target. This will certainly be a continuous problem of injustice, especially now that we have entered the digital era 4.0, all processes use a digital system. The provision of educational fund assistance in the form of zakat must be based on established rules, in this case the rules are in the form of established criteria, namely student IP, parental income, number of siblings, number of dependents of parents, semester, and others. The purpose of this study is to test whether the Promethee method is a method that can solve these problems. In addition, this research also forms a flow chart for selecting recipients of educational assistance using the Promethee method. The results of this study indicate that the problem of determining recipients of zakat assistance by students can be solved using the PROMETHEE method. Promethee (Preference Ranking Organization for Enrichment Evaluation), This method is appropriate for determining recipients of zakat assistance.

أثر تطبیق الانضباط الإیجابی على التحصیل الأکادیمی: دراسة مقارنة فی مدرستین من خلفیات اجتماعیة واقتصادیة مختلفة فی القاهرة

This study aimed at comparing positive discipline practices implemented in two schools in Cairo city metropolitan area, one from Upper socioeconomic (Class A) and one from a middle socioeconomic background (Class C). The study followed both quantitative and qualitative methods using surveys and focus group interviews with stakeholders (students, teachers, parents) at both schools. The study showed that in the class C school, school positive discipline practices were found to be relatively less effective mainly due to the stress families felt towards university admission trying to secure a chance at public universities because they cannot afford private and international universities’ tuition fees. On the other hand, positive discipline practices in the Class A school, were found to be more effective compared to other school mainly because university admission is not a thing families worry about because they can afford paying tuition fees for higher education anywhere in the world inside and outside Egypt.

The impact of COVID-19 on the private higher education system and students in Oman

The outbreak of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) worldwide has had a significant impact on the global higher education community. The governments around the world adopted social confinement measures to combat COVID-19, which has resulted in the closure of higher education institutions. Faced with multiple challenges, faculties rapidly converted curriculum to an online environment, which is anticipated to occur without sufficient preparation. Therefore, this study conducted a survey of students in post-secondary private institutions throughout Oman, to understand different approaches adopted by academic institutions to deliver education during the COVID-19 restriction, and the consequences of these restrictions on academic activities and quality of education. Moreover, the extent to which personal and financial circumstances have created challenges for students to continue their education is also analyzed. A total of 213 respondents completed the study, which were overrepresented by students enrolled in bachelors programme. The student satisfaction from the arrangement and delivery of education online was not more than 50 percent. The exams were cancelled and replaced by extra coursework in most cases, and in some cases students were assessed based on only the existing coursework. The major concern for many students (40%) was the inability to pay tuition fees due to the financial implication caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah Pada SMA Kristen Kota Kotamobagu

ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to determine how the leadership of the principal at Kotamobagu Christian Senior High School, the characteristics of serving leadership from the principal, the supporting factors for the implementation of the serving leadership of the principal, and the factors that constrain the principal as a serving leader. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method which is carried out in Christian High School at Kota Kotamobagu. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation study. From the results of the analysis and interpretation of the data, it is then obtained (1) The leadership of the principal is leadership with a firm and tough figure, always based on the rules that apply in school, and is very concerned about the entire process of activities in the school. (2) Paying attention to all school activities, always prioritizing the welfare of teachers, not taking care of being a leader. (3) There is control from the foundation to attend school, there is supervision from the education office, and there is support from all school elements for the leadership of the school principal. (4) the principal's inability to control emotions, there is no dispensation for students who have not paid tuition fees, said the principal who often does not show an example. From these findings, it follows: The principal must know and understand how leadership serves according to the biblical perspective.

Sistem Informasi Pendaftaran Mahasiswa Baru Menggunakan Framework Codeigniter dan Application Programming Interface

One of the most important things in the work process is the presentation of information that is fast and accurate. Data is processed in a short time, it will increase work efficiency, one of which is by using the system to process and display data into information. Information systems are needed considering technology is growing and now people are required to use more technology to reduce activities outside the home. Problems that often arise are the tight location of registration and the length of service for one registrant due to filling out registration forms and screening examinations for new students. In addition, the large accumulation of registration and trial files also takes a long time so that announcements of new student graduations cannot be made. The goal is to build a new student admission information system for all faculties at the Indonesian Methodist University, reduce applicants who come to the registration location, reduce the use of paper registration forms, help submit and fill in student data, conduct online screening exams, provide information on new student registration, schedule and payment of tuition fees. The result of this initialization is building a new student registration information system using the Codeigniter Framework and Application Programming Interface (API).

Permasalahan Belajar Siswa dan Strategi Sekolah Selama Pembelajaran Daring di Masa Pandemi Covid-19

It has been more than a year of the Covid-19 pandemic, after WHO officially announced it on March 11, 2020. This pandemic has had a tremendous impact on all aspects of life, including education, where education must be carried out online. This drastic change will certainly encounter many obstacles. This study aims to determine the problems of online learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic faced by students of SMA Muhammadiyah Al Kautsar Kartasura Program Khusus and the strategies implemented by the school. This research method is a qualitative case study. Data collection techniques are observation, analysis and unstructured interviews. Observations to find the keywords of student learning problems in grade 10 science and 11 science students. Analysis to trace student conversations on social media based on the observed key words. Interviews were conducted to extract information, while the sampling technique was purposive sampling. The results showed that there were three student learning problems, namely boredom, lack of understanding of the material, and the need for internet quota. The school strategy includes, firstly relating to administration and secondly relating to the implementation of learning. The administrative strategy is carried out with flexibility in paying tuition fees and contributing to institutional development. The learning strategy is a home-school collaboration as an important component in evaluating and monitoring the teaching and learning process by online.

The article presents the process of getting higher education by students, emigrants from Russia. Special attention is paid to the organizations that rendered assistance in the admission and training of students at the universities of Czechoslovakia and France. The Committee on Education for Russian students in Czechoslovakia (CERSC) and the Committee on Higher Education for Russian youth abroad ("Fedorov Committee") contributed to the organization of student education by providing scholarships, by exempting them from paying tuition fees, and providing a dorm. The activities of these organizations were carried out at the expense of the governments of the host countries and benefactors.The article notes that getting a European education contributed to the success-ful adaptation of Russian youth in a foreign society with different culture, which gave them an opportunity to find a job. The analysis of the documents showed the problems that graduates-emigrants of European universities encountered, in Czechoslovakia in particular. The low demand for personnel of intellectual labor led to the fact that many had to get a craft profession after graduating from a university. The Association of Russian Graduates of Higher Educational Institutions in the Czech Republic (AR-GHEI) arranged such short-term courses. Owing to the assistance of this organization, young emigrants were able to get jobs in other countries.The article is based on the analysis of documents from the National Archives of the Czech Republic (Czechia) and the Library-Fund "Russian Diaspora" (Russia).The article presents the process of getting higher education by students, emigrants from Russia. The Impact of The COVID-19 Pandemic on The Implementasion of Online Learning in MI Islamiyah Lamongan

The COVID-19 pandemic has an impact not only on health, but also on education. The world of education has undergone major changes. The reason is, to prevent the spread of COVID-19 from becoming more widespread, the government requires teachers and students not to do face-to-face learning at school, and replace it with learning at home or better known as online learning. However, in reality online learning is not as effective as direct learning, because students cannot interact optimally in the learning process. In addition, online learning has also caused many polemics, remembering that online learning is new learning for students, that's why researchers are interested in conducting research related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on online learning with the title Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the online learning process at MI Islamiyah. The purpose of this study is to obtain information about the impact of COVID-19 on the implementation of online learning in elementary schools. Is online learning in primary schools can be done well and effectively. This research uses an exploratory study research method, with a qualitative case study approach. The results of this study, the impact on students, namely, students feel bored and bored doing online learning. And students are required to adapt to distant learning or online. Furthermore, the impact for teachers, not all teachers are proficient in using social media to support online learning. Teachers are burdened by the additional cost of internet quota and inadequate facilities owned by teachers. The last impact is the impact felt by parents, in addition to paying tuition fees, parents are burdened with the cost of purchasing an internet quota package. and working parents must share their time by accompanying their children to online learning.

EKONOMI KELUARGA MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN ILMU PENGETAHUAN SOSIAL JURUSAN PENDIDIKAN ILMU ILMU SOSIAL FAKULTAS KEGURUAN DAN ILMU PENDIDIKAN

The purpose of this study was to determine the economic condition of the families of students of the Social Sciences Education Study Program, FKIP Untan. The form of research is a survey. The results of the research on family conditions mostly came from areas outside the city of Pontianak, with as many as 139 students (67.48%) and from the city of Pontianak as many as 67 people (32.52%). Parents are mostly farmers. With an average student family income in the range of Rp. 1,000,000 - Rp. 1,950,000 (income of father, mother, me, and siblings). The income earned is not sufficient for the family's needs, because the average monthly expenditure is over Rp. 2,000,000. In general, parents of students complained that the family's economic burden was quite heavy. In order to help the family economy, most students also work to help the family economy. Such as: guarding a grocery store, taking children to school, as a pinatu (ironing clothes) in a laundry business. The status of the house owned by students is a house that is privately owned. The lighting facility uses electricity with a power of 450 watts. Entertainment facilities for television, tape recorder, and radio. Electricity bill payments have been in arrears. There are 42 students who received Bidik Misi scholarships, 4 students received scholarships from the local government of Kayong Regency. 1 student gets a scholarship from the Sekadau Regency Government, 1 student gets a Partial Independent Untan scholarship. 10 students who received PPA scholarships and 8 students who received PBM scholarships. Payment of student tuition fees ranges from UKT 3, 4, and 5. In Pontianak living at someone's house as a household assistant, and not being paid tuition fees, they are only given the opportunity to live and eat. Meanwhile, tuition fees must be paid by themselves.
