Theoretical fundamentals of quest excursions as an innovative method of providing excursion services

The aim of this article is to provide theoretical fundamentals of quest excursions as a means of domestic tourism development.
 Methodology. The author has used systemic and comparative approaches as well as a problem and analytical analysis to examine the principles, focus areas and the research trends at the market of excursion services, in particular — quest excursions.
 Results. The excursion services are an integral part of Ukrainian tourism industry, while the emergence of innovative methods only contributes to the development of the state economy. Quest excursions play an important role in terms of popularization domestic tourism, while demonstrating significant development potential. However, today there are some sporadic attempts to implement this area of excursion services, which can lead to errors in the organization and the formation of a negative attitude to quest excursions among tourists. This article offers theoretical principles that are designed to structure the process of organizing and implementing quest excursions. In particular, it offers a definition of this concept, provides a comparative analysis of traditional excursions and quest excursions and outlines the basic principles of such tours. It is noted that the main functions of the quest excursions include not only educational and informational, but also entertainment and animation functions. A comparative analysis has shown that the organization of quest excursions requires much more preparation, in contrast to traditional excursions. At the same time, the main difference is that during the quest excursions tourists receive information about excursion objects, sights, objects of an excursion route by themselves, in other words they become active participants of educational and entertaining process where the special role is given not only to information, but also to physical activities of the quest excursion. This paper also describes the main features of quest excursions organization which include such aspects: the requirements for the location, the content of quests, variants of routes organizing, requirements for tasks and quests, accompanying materials, advising tour groups in the process of excursion and the importance of analysis and optimization of quest excursions. The results of this study may become the basis for further researches, in particular for the development of guidelines for the organization and implementation of quest excursions.
 Novelty. The author of this paper offers generalized principles of organization and implementation of quest excursions at the Ukrainian market, which can be the basis for further researches.
 The practical significance. The proposed results of the study are important for ensuring a systematic approach to the development of quest excursions in Ukraine. In particular, the theoretical principles suggested in this paper can serve as a basis for further development of guidelines for the organization of quest excursions.

Using financial board games in teaching financial literacy at general secondary education institutions

The article substantiates the ways of using educational games to teach financial literacy at level of secondary school in Ukraine. The methodology of conducting original financial games is described in brief and the influence of the latter on shaping a financially literate next generation is proved. The article presents an overview of the «Ponzi Scheme» board game, which was created to provide children with a clear explanation of Ponzi schemes and risks of monetary losses inherent to such illegal means of moneymaking. It is established that in addition to important educational aspects, the children develop a habit of making informed financial decisions in the course of playing. Research has shown that nowadays fraudsters have become so convincing that it is very difficult to distinguish between them from the real employees of financial institutions. The «Financial Fraudsters» board game enables players to learn specific communicative skills necessary to avoid various types of financial fraud, therefore the authors substantiate the methodology of enacting it. The article considers the peculiarities of playing the «Economy is Alive» board game, which is designed to demonstrate the human impact on the environment and the need for conservation of resources. The game makes it possible to master the comprehension of the relationships between objects and phenomena and creates the basis for environmentally conscious upbringing of children by satisfying their curiosity and involving them in active observation of the environment. Approbation of these games has shown that they organically combine the theory that makes learning exciting and the practice that clarifies the knowledge acquired by the educational process participants. In view of the research results, it is determined that under modern conditions edutainment must become a significant supplement to the classical methods of teaching financial literacy within the system of general secondary education in Ukraine.

Socio-biological factors of increased morbidity risk in participants of educational process in higher education institutions related to the global epidemiological situation in 2020-2021

One of the numerous negative consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic is the second epidemic of negative psychological effects. Population stress in modern conditions can serve as a catalyst for mental disorders of teachers and students. In the present situation, restrictive and special measures should be considered as additional harmful socio-biological factors for participants of the university educational process.

More International Students Coming to Russia: Pros and Cons

Introduction. Despite numerous research works on international students’ training at Russian universities, no analysis of efforts to increase student body has been made so far. In this paper, the authors analyze various aspects of policies aimed at increasing international students’ body (economic advantages, sociocultural benefits, education system changes, international students’ adaptation management). The goal of the paper is to consider the advantages and disadvantages of the international students’ rise in the total population of Russian universities. Materials and Methods. The study comprised several stages, including statistical data screening, analysis of international students’ adaptation measures efficiency, the education process participants’ survey and observation of the activities of public agencies responsible for international students’ stay and study in Russia. The survey involved about 100 university employees, an equal amount of small and medium business representatives and 500 international students from Russian universities. 500 international students participated in a questionnaire survey, and digital content of Russian universities’ websites has been analyzed in order to obtain data necessary for the study. Results. The study revealed a trend toward a rise in international student body at Russian universities, with advantages including higher universities’ incomes, jobs preservation despite the demographic instability, and development of the region’s small and medium business owing to an increased demand for goods and services. The trend also provided socio-cultural and educational benefits and revealed the need to manage students’ adaptation, as well as to establish and develop interaction between universities and federal agencies. Discussion and Conclusion. The research results provide a contribution to education and student body management and regional business strategy planning. The findings may be of assistance to heads of recruitment agencies and bodies responsible for accompanying international students at the place of stay, as well as to service industry managers.

Дистанционное обучение иностранному языку в высшей школе с использованием платформы Microsoft Teams

The study aims to analyse organisation of foreign language distance education (using the example of Microsoft Teams) at Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation and to determine positive and negative aspects of education in the chosen format. The article considers the concept of “distance education”, experience of using the Microsoft Teams platform to organise students’ foreign language activities online, as well as attitude of educational process participants towards the distance education format. Scientific novelty of the paper lies in identifying the main characteristics of a relatively new way of organising foreign language education at university basing on experience of using the Microsoft Teams platform. As a result of the study, advantages and disadvantages of conducting online foreign language classes are determined and predominantly positive attitude of students and teachers towards distance education is revealed.

Изменение парадигмы образования при внедрении технологий E-learning в учебный процесс в высшей школе

The paper analyses changes in educational paradigm due to E-learning technologies introduction into higher technical education. The article considers teachers’ readiness for upcoming changes in educational paradigm. Two educational paradigms are compared: traditional and innovative, formed as a result of E-learning technologies introduction and tended to change roles and functions of higher education participants. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the authors compare two educational paradigms and describe newly established roles and functions of educational process participants. The research findings are as follows: roles and functions of educational process participants under the conditions of higher education modernization are revealed; advantages of the innovative educational model over the traditional one are identified.

ACTIVE LEARNING AND ITS APPLICATION IN TEACHING ENGLISH

There are givensuggestions how teachers can implement active learningtechniques in their practice and what activities have proveneffective in building language competence of author’s students.It also presents some ideas on the training material developmentfor practitioners in the field of language teaching and coursematerials for learners, thus contributing to the existing knowledgebase about utilizing active learning in the process of Englishlanguage acquisition.It has been established that strategies which are based onideas about how learners effectively acquire foreign languagecommunicative competence assist the participants of educationalprocess in transition into full engagement. Active learning helpsstudents submerge into course material and results in learning,applying, synthesizing, summarizing and evaluating the content.The types of activities, which the teacher implements, are ofparamount importance as they determine the level and type ofstudents' learning and are chosen or designed in order to reachlesson objectives. They span from uncomplicated ones to activitiesof increased complexity and include Concept Mapping, Think /Pair / Share technique, Cooperative Groups in Class, Note Checkor Note Comparison, Minute Papers, If You Could Ask OneQuestion, Discussions, etc.The study also tackles barriers and obstacles which canoccur on the path of incorporating active learning strategiesin teaching and mastering English as a foreign language aswell as recommendations on their overcoming.

The technology of using telegram messenger as an e-learning tool

This article objective is providing methodological guidelines on Telegram messenger using by educational process participants in the context of e-learning. The problem analysis is focused on examination of opportunities for messenger tools and technologies in interacting with users. The procedures of messenger using by teachers as part of e-learning are systematized. The trend for messenger using expansion as a tool for fast communication and monitoring task execution in e-learning is described. Methodological guidelines for teachers on using Telegram messenger for improving the educational organization efficiency in e-learning have been developed. The theoretical significance of the results lies in summarizing Russian and foreign experience in messenger гising for e-learning purposes. The necessity of using messengers in educational activity arrangement is justified. The effectiveness of their use is well-grounded.

Forms and methods of inclusive work in mathematics lessons in primary school

The article clarifies the content of the concepts "person with special educational needs", describes the features of the organization of education in an inclusive classroom in mathematics lessons; identified special educational needs of primary school children with disabilities on the basis of a secondary school, explored effective ways of inclusive work in mathematics lessons in modern primary school. Innovative technologies of multilevel support of participants of educational process are offered: technology of adaptation of the child to a new educational level; teacher support technology; technology to help the child in the learning process; family interaction technology; technology of personality education. The following methods of inclusive learning in mathematics lessons in primary school are described: supportive learning, parallel learning, alternative learning, learning in small groups, alternate learning, team learning. Innovative technologies are considered, which realize the complex multilevel character of support of participants of pedagogical process and by means of which support of participants of educational process at lessons of mathematics is carried out: technology of adaptation of the child to new educational level; teacher support technology; technology to help the child in the learning process; family interaction technology; technology of personality education. The aspects that belong to the category of methodological and educational requirements and which must be performed by the teacher in mathematics lessons in an inclusive classroom are indicated: the topic of the lesson should correspond to long-term planning; pedagogical communication should have clearly defined goals, adaptation of the structure of the mathematics lesson. Options for solving the problem of planning a math lesson and creating a lesson outline in an inclusive classroom, focusing on children with special educational needs. Planning a math lesson in an inclusive classroom should include both general education tasks to meet the educational needs within the state standard and correctional and developmental tasks.

FEATURES OF E-LEARNING INSTITUTIONALIZATION IN UKRAINIAN HEIs IN THE CONTEXT OF A PANDEMIC: SOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCH RESULTS

The article is devoted to the consideration of the key features of e-learning formation and development in the High School of Ukraine in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. Based on the study of legal documents ( Law of Ukraine "On Education", Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education") operating in Ukraine in the education field, the author defined key forms of education. It was found that there is terminological confusion in the definition and differentiation of the two concepts – distant and e-learning. Today in Ukraine, there is a hybridization of educational models and forms that leads to the dominance of a mixed form of education, which involves a combination of traditional (classroom) forms of organizing the educational process and a gradual transfer of educational activities to the virtual educational environment through the use of e-learning technologies. The article presents the sociological research results devoted to the study of the state and development of distance educational technologies in Ukraine. The research was conducted from June 2020 to April 2021 supported by the Council of Young Scientists at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and NGO "Innovation University". Interpretation of the research results allowed the possibility to identify opportunities, advantages and disadvantages of e-learning. Analysis of the survey results showed that educational process participants have differently assessed the changes that have overtaken them due to the spread of information and communication technologies. It was found that education applicants in contrast to the teaching staffprovide more support to the idea of e-learning active introduction and its technologies in the educational process. But most of them still believe that e-learning will only be an addition to traditional educational models. Thus, it was concluded that the process of developing e-learning and its technologies is long-term and requires solving many issues, but Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions are actively working on building a digital educational infrastructure and are ready to develop in the direction of digitalization and internationalization of education.

Effects of Digitalisation on Higher Education in a Sustainable Development Framework—Online Learning Challenges during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Throughout the planet, the medical challenges posed by the pandemic caused by the SARS-Cov-2/COVID-19 coronavirus have overlapped, inter alia, with the necessity to continue the academic process on every level. Romania was no exception. With the new vaccines against COVID-19, the hope of resuming face-to-face activity, considered as ‘normal’ before 2020, has emerged. In these circumstances, not at all far-fetched, certain questions have arisen, such as: should and must the online university education be completely removed? Should this form of education be continued? If so, to what extent? We have used econometric methods related to ARDL (auto regressive distributed lag models) such as pooled mean group (PMG) and mean group (MG) and used different tests for unit roots for the stationarity check of the series implied. The results show the positive effect of digitalisation on tertiary education and also the positive impact of the latter on sustainable development, as a base for future stimulation in public policies. The present study also aims to harness the university experience of these times, from some of the main Romanian university centres; the method used was a quantitative and qualitative research based on a questionnaire, which was answered by a number of 258 university teachers and 1569 students from prestigious public and private universities. The results of this analysis allowed us to conclude that most of the participants in the university educational process have adapted to the online activity, and the latter ‘saved’ the academic years 2019–2020 and, respectively, 2020–2021. The present study is useful for tertiary education institution and policymakers in terms of formulating strategies and policy recommendations to support teachers and students during any future pandemics.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN DISTANT EDUCATION AS A FACTOR OF SUBJECT ACTIVITY DEVELOPMENT

Work's purpose is an opening of information technologies role in distant education for development of subject activity. As a result of research the role of information technologies in distant education for development of subject activity is exposed. It is rotined psychological phenomenon of subject activity is determined as a measure of purposefulness display of individual acivity which is aimed at transformation of external (objective) or/and internal (subjective) reality. In a copula with forming of independence, criticism of perception, intention and abilities for permanent self-training, activity and initiativeness, information educational technologies are connected for condition forming, in which high-efficiency thought and subject activity are formed. Learner is perceived not as passive object of learning, but as an active subject which internalizes knowledge in the process of his/her activity, carries out subject activity, puts and achieves educational goals. Setting of learning aims of students from teacher's side is replaced by their own educational aims determination, construction of individual trajectories and rates of education, depending on own personality features, necessities, advantages and persuasions. Thus, information technologies become not instruments of teachers influence on students for translation of «prepared knowledges», but instruments of opening of their own subject activity, independent intellectual creation, thought. Distant learning and education, foremost in the context of virtual educational environments functioning, are factors of subject activity development of educational process participants. Among technologies assist this development, distant educational courses, internet trainings, webinars, video conferences, on-line discussions in the format of chats and groups in social networks etc. are especially selected.

ARTISTIC ACTIVITY AS A COLLABORATION TOOL IN INCLUSIVE SCHOOL CULTURE FORMATION

The article analyses and scientifically evaluates the aspect of collaboration through manifestation of artistic activity as an opportunity to form an inclusive school culture. It is maintained that school culture grounded on the philosophy of inclusive education and enriched with advanced educational processes oriented to artistic/musical activity not only marks the school’s uniqueness but also unites and enables the education process participants to collaborate and work together naturally to achieve a shared goal. The main idea of the empirical research presented in the article is to reveal students’ attitude towards artistic activities as a means of collaboration, which helps to form the inclusive school culture. The study involved students studying at school and attending a musical activity collective (choir). The research has revealed that in creating the inclusive school culture, artistic activities promote community participants to collaborate, share best practices; they improve the microclimate, ensure the manifestation of the success situation in the educational process, concert activities, and the like. The musical activity grounded on the philosophy of inclusive education becomes an opportunity developing the inclusive school culture that undoubtedly helps to create the society grounded on collaboration and tolerance towards differences, which seeks to envisage every learner’s needs and opportunities.

Theoretical Foundations of Methodological Support for Network Learning in Secondary Vocational Education

Introduction. Representatives of the scientific school S. Ya. Batyshev – A. M. Novikov introduced the concept of a network approach that underlies network learning. Purpose of the article is to consider the network learning subjects typology in secondary vocational education; to determine the research concept; to get new knowledge about the distinctive characteristics and methodological support types for network learning; to designate the secondary vocational education new staff duties. Methodology and Research Methods. The methodological support novelty is associated with the transition from traditional methodological associations of teachers and methodists of secondary vocational education to the methodological support of the quality of the network educational process with many subjects participation. Research methods: theoretical (problem statement, conceptual apparatus concretization, formalization of the polysubject interaction of participants in the network educational process); empirical (study of the scientific literature on the research subject). Research results. The typology of the participants in the polysubject network interaction is considered. The concepts of “network methodist” and “methodological support of network learning” are defined. The methodological support types that need to be developed and implemented are indicated. New staff duties for the development of various types of methodological support to ensure network learning have been determined. Conclusion. The development and implementation of methodological support for network learning will reduce the time and improve the quality of training for secondary vocational education specialists for the development of the digital (network) economy.

Universal Models and Platforms in E-Learning

The study describes the effectiveness of digital technological solutions in education. Students, postgraduates, teachers, and medical business representatives have tested a comprehensive educational product based on the capabilities of learning management system (LMS) platforms. The online course was implemented on the e-learning platforms such as Moodle, Schoology, TalentLMS, Canvas LMS, Docebo, iSpringLearn's, Brightspace, Absorb LMS. The implementation of advanced e-learning models ensured the effectiveness of the educational process. The focus on the development of the personal potential of each educational process participant made it possible to create a personalized learning environment and evoke a sense of personal significance and importance. The focus on feedback has created a creative communication environment for the exchange of knowledge, thoughts and ideas satisfying participants' educational needs for self-expression and creativity. The collective creativity of the educational process participants made it possible to develop a high-quality corporate culture of the students involved, which became the basis for establishing business partnerships in the system of education, science, and business. Based on the observations, a universal model of an effective educational process in the digital age has been developed.

The factors of interethnic tension in higher education environment (based on the materials of a sociological study in Altai State University, Barnaul)

The subject of this research is the factors of interethnic tension in higher education environment. The object of this research is interethnic tension in the educational environment. Detailed attention is given to socio-psychological, conflictological, and sociological approaches towards studying the interethnic tension. The author examines the manifestation of interethnic tension, namely the factors that may aggravate it in the higher education institutions. The following factors are explored: social adaptation of students in polyethnic educational environment; ethnic stereotypes; cultural differences between students belonging to various ethnic groups; biased attitude of the participants of educational process on ethnic grounds. The conclusion is made that such factors as ethnic stereotypes and cultural differences of students are present in Altai State University; the need for social adaptation of students in polyethnic educational environment and  biased attitude of the participants of educational process on ethnic ground manifest rather insignificantly, although pose a potential threat to interethnic relations in the university. The author’s special contribution consists in formulation of practical recommendations for the administrative departments of Altai State University aimed at reducing the likelihood of the emergence of interethnic tensions in the educational environment; as well as in proposal of measures to prevent the occurrence of inexplicit factors.

ФОРМУВАННЯ КОМПЕТЕНТНОСТЕЙ УЧАСНИКІВ ОСВІТНЬОГО ПРОЦЕСУ НА ОСНОВІ ХМАРО ОРІЄНТОВАНИХ ІНФОРМАЦІЙНО-ОСВІТНІХ СИСТЕМ

Представлено основні результати виконання комплексу наукових досліджень, що здійснювалися у 2018-2020 рр. в Інституті інформаційних технологій і засобів навчання НАПН України, з проблем формування компетентностей учасників освітнього процесу на основі хмаро орієнтованих інформаційно-освітніх систем: 1. «Адаптивна хмаро орієнтована система навчання та професійного розвитку вчителів закладів загальної середньої освіти» (фундаментальне, керівник — д-р пед. наук, с.н.с. М.П. Шишкіна); 2. «Система комп’ютерного моделювання пізнавальних завдань для формування компетентностей учнів з природничо-математичних предметів» (фундаментальне, керівник — д-р пед. наук, с.н.с. С.Г. Литвинова); 3. «Методика використання відкритих електронних науково-освітніх систем для розвитку інформаційно-дослідницької компетентності наукових і науково-педагогічних працівників» (прикладне, керівники — канд. пед. наук, с.н.с. А.В. Яцишин, канд. пед. наук С.М. Іванова). Особливу увагу в доповіді приділено впровадженню результатів досліджень у практику закладів загальної середньої освіти, вищої та післядипломної педагогічної освіти. Презентовано розроблені та апробовані на практиці методики, навчально-методичні матеріали. Системоутворювальними чинниками комплексу наукових досліджень є: загальна мета, єдиний базовий методологічний фундамент досліджень (системний, компетентнісний і проєктний підходи), комплексний характер їх одночасного проведення і впровадження, взаємозумовленість основних кінцевих результатів (сформованих цифрових компетентностей учасників освітнього процесу), хмарна комп’ютерно-технологічна платформа досліджень і реалізацій освітніх застосувань.

Коммуникативный компонент содержания подготовки будущих педагогов к организации общения в электронной информационно-образовательной среде

The research objectives are as follows: to examine the communicative component of future teachers’ readiness for organizing online communication and to identify pedagogical conditions of organizing students’ activity to acquire this competence. The article analyses the structure of the communicative component of future teachers’ readiness for organizing online communication, describes the methodology to develop this type of readiness, considers the possibility of organizing academic disciplines into blocks taking into account their potential for developing students’ communicative competence and network communicative competence. The author identifies pedagogical conditions for organizing students’ activity that involves educational material preparation, projection of communicative situations, choice of educational technologies, evaluating the pedagogical potential of electronic resources, planning on the stages of communicative activity in electronic informational-educational environment. Scientific originality of the paper lies in the fact that, contrary to previous studies focused on describing the system of future teachers’ training under the conditions of contact interaction of educational process participants, the article identifies the structure of the communicative component of future teachers’ readiness for organizing online communication, reveals pedagogical conditions that should be taken into account when organizing students’ activity to acquire communicative competences. The conducted research allows concluding that the communicative component of future teachers’ readiness for organizing online communication is based on the network communicative competence formed in the process of planning and accompanying students’ activity, taking into account pedagogical conditions.

Distance learning as a method of teaching piano class

This article explores the specificity of teaching piano class in the university in the conditions of distance learning. The author suggests to consider distance learning as an active method of carrying out cognitive activity, i.e. a method of educating future piano performers, as well as from the perspective of modern organizational innovation. The article gradually covers certain historical prerequisites for the existence of distance learning method in music education in the middle of the XX century, as well as the conditions for its successful implementation. The author describes the formats of distance learning, Internet platforms that allow online and offline interaction of the participants of educational process. Based on the opinions of reputable educators-performers, as well leaning on the own experience of teaching classes remotely, the author determines the practical significance and feasibility of using the distance form of learning as a method of teaching future musicians. The conclusion is made that the all-round modernization, implementation and development of distance learning technology in the sphere of traditional education does not take into account the specificity of music and art universities. Despite all the flaws and imperfections of distance innovation, the author finds positive aspects, which would allow the pedagogues to implement distance learning to a certain extent for achieving certain educational objectives.

Online Education Participants: Standing Together or Falling Apart?

The paper summarizes the findings from research by Russian scholars into the expansion of online education technologies into Russian universities. Risks are described connected with the unpreparedness of the education process participants to be fully engaged in the new education format. Two opinion polls were organized among students and university staff in order to reveal their assessment of education strategies and their involvement in online education. The study has shown that neither students nor academic staff at provincial universities are sufficiently involved in the process, which does not enable any forecast to be made pertaining to online training efficiency. So far, it is only the opportunities to access, participate and use online education that can be assessed. The survey has revealed a significant difference in students’ and lecturers’ perception of online education. While students are ready to switch to the new format, lecturers prefer classical approaches. They display negative attitudes, tend to avoid changes and stress that the expansion of online education services may result in a lower status and loss of prestige for the teaching profession. The possibility of their participation in developing online education products is doubtful. The lack of either experience or desire to be involved in the process may result in a low quality of online courses and programs, if developed. The study enables the authors to define a problem field of youth education choice management. This field includes issues of self-study needs satisfaction, a lower level of knowledge in today’s young generation and information retaining difficulty, the “external memory” problem resulting from the abundance of gadgets et cetera. Risks are described pertaining to youth’s uncontrolled involvement in online education alternatives connected with human capital structure changes, emergence of negative generation characteristics and education prospects.
